We have created a tropical oasis for your next family vacation, an intimate wedding, a fun-filled corporate retreat or even a getaway for you and all your friends. The Retreat in Marathon is made up of our main house & the Bali Guest House.. all joined together to create one amazing spot... w/water & sunset views sure to please everyone. Featuring 2 pools, a private beaches, an outdoor spa, Tiki Hut.... and over 50 ft of dock space With enough sleeping for 16 guests.... Its like having your own private resort Additionally (included in our rental rate) we will stock the house with enough food and drinks for your first day of vacation... so all you have to do is chill and relax by the pool all day long!! We are located in the beautiful Middle Keys... just one hour north of Key West. Stay right here in Marathon or head a little north to Islamorada for some of the best fishing inThe Florida Keys. For amazing diving or snorkeling... head to Sombrero Reef, Looe Key or Key Largo! All easily accessible by boat! The property is your very own boutique resort you will have all to yourself! We are tucked back at the very end of a quiet road and situated on a quiet canal and lagoon... leading you right out to the Ocean and Sombrero Reef. The Retreat is sure to please all your guests... from the babies to the grandparents... there's something for everyone! Spend your days lounging by one of the three pools, enjoy games for all ages... from corn hole on the beach to our billiards table in the game room... and even pool volleyball or basketball! You will have your own Private Bali Bar, Tiki Hut, 2 outdoor grills, swim-up pool bar and a private beach. We will greet all guests upon your arrival... and give you a quick tour of the property We are situated in the heart of Marathon at the end of a quiet road. The entire property sits on a canal... so bring your boat. We are just minutes from either the Ocean or Gulf Side... where you can enjoy some of the best fishing, diving or snorkeling in the Florida Keys! By car or bike, we are only minutes away from the local grocery stores, gym, restaurants, bars, coffee shops... and so much more. Sombrero Beach is easily accessible by bike or car (less then 2 miles from The Retreat) We are 1 hour from Key West Airport, 2 hours from Miami International and about 2.5 hours from Fort Lauderdale. We also are only about 5 minutes from The Marathon Jet Center. A refundable damage deposit of $1500 will be held in your credit card used for booking for a period of 7 days, this hold of $1500 will commence 2 days prior to your checkout and will be in our custody for a period of 7 days. Subject to damages the relevant amount depending on the damage will be covered with the deposit and any remaining amount will be dispersed back to you card.

Great house. Fishing from the dock, playing basketball in the pool to just relaxing in the many lounge chairs or porches. Never had to have a meal out plenty of cook’s equipment. We had 4 grandkids many options for entertainment..

A group of 13 adults rented The Retreat to celebrate birthdays, retirements and long-time friendships. We had the absolute best time ever! The property is absolutely amazing and Ruth is the best too! We laughed, sang, boated, fished, swam, relaxed and just enjoyed being together. We also had Ruth prepare a fabulous 60th birthday dinner that was out of this world! Once at The Retreat, you never have to leave if you don't want to. It has everything. I can't say enough about this fabulous property other than we will definitely be back!

13 of us, 3 generations, thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beauteous property. Once you arrive, no need to leave. We used the pool morning-to-night, paddle boards + kayaks great for first timers, nonstop fishing, lots of games indoors and out, elevator handy for loading/unloading. Ruth is very accommodating and accessible. Beds are luxurious, beautiful bathrooms, screened eating areas w easy access to kitchens and bars, bikes were nice for quick trip to grocery or over to the beach (lots of that sargassum seaweed this week so we didn’t spend time there). They thought of everything. We’ve done many family trips over the last 13 years, to really nice places, but The Retreat was our favorite!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

We had the best time ! Most time spent was out side by pool in spa and on the water with the boats . It was a bit hard to navigate at times getting from the dock to the open waters . But we got the hang of it . The home was clean and comfortable for our whole family of 18 . Ruth the property host was amazing!

Finding a property large enough to make a family of 12 comfortable is quite a challenge. We were not only comfortable, but pampered at every turn. The staff was amazing! From food to massages to deep sea fishing, not a detail was missed. We were also fortunate to have Chef Ian cooking 5 star meals every night. If you are looking for sun, fun, and relaxation, with a touch of true class, you can not go wrong with The Retreat!

I'm not long for words so please excuse the brief review. From booking over a year ago to check out the entire process was top notch. Booked the retreat for my wife's 50th and 14 of our closest friends and we had an absolute blast! Ruth and her team decorated the house and even picked up flowers and a cake for me prior to our arrival. Had a couple of questions during the stay and Ruth was quick to respond. AS far as the house goes, no need to plan any activities outside of it, you'll have all you want right on site. We spent most of our days hanging out in the pool and using the grill and swim-up bar. If I could give the Retreat 10 stars I would. Thanks again for a memorable vacation. Mike

We celebrated our 42 wedding anniversary with our adult kids their spouses and 6 grandchildren. Everything was perfect and beyond what we could have hoped for. The attention to detail was amazing. Ruth and Kelly were great to work with. The house was so clean and fully stocked. We had Chef served dinner to celebrate on our last night which was outstanding. We can’t wait to go back. Thank you so much for sharing this Marathon Retreat with our family!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this magnificent property! Ruth and her staff took wonderful care of us during our stay and they made us the most delicious meals. They also went above and beyond providing us with a decorative cake as well as decorating the living and dining area to celebrate our two college graduates! We've been some amazing places as a family, but our stay at The Retreat is at the top of them. The house and location were exquisite, but it was the little details and additions that made all of the difference. Ruth and the team pulled out all of the stops to make sure our stay was memorable. The property and amenities are first class, and Ruth (host) was an amazing resource. We gathered as a family (10 adults, 6 kids) to celebrate my Dad's 80th birthday, and there was something for everyone -- from cousin movies in the spa; to hoops in the pool; to Peloton workouts; to paddle board rides; to ping-pong tournaments; to laughter-filled dinners on the terrace. The Fresh Start was super helpful and allowed us to step into "vacation mode" as soon as we arrived, rather than worry about an immediate grocery run. Ruth also set up an inshore fishing trip for us, which resulted in some delicious Spanish Mackerel fish tacos! The unanimous theme of our trip was that everyone felt completely relaxed at the Retreat. Highly recommend for your next family gathering!

This property is everything as advertised. We brought eight of our close friends with us for a very relaxing eight days. There are so many things to at the home, we rarely wanted to go elsewhere. We had collectively 10 people and never felt like we were really ever in the same zip code (the place is huge). Plus, Ruth did an outstanding job of making sure our every need was met, and was very responsive. She is also an amazing chef! Overall, we were very pleased and will come again in the future for another vacation, or possibly a board meeting.

Having never visited Marathon, we were pleasantly surprised to have discovered this gem of a vacation property. Plenty of room and places for three generations of kids and adults to reconnect and to create lasting memories. The outdoor pool, Tiki Bar and Bali Bar were huge hits!! The optional boat rental was great too. Last but not least were the delicious dinners Ruth and her colleagues prepared for our family on three separate nights. It was really nice to have the pantry and bar stocked and for dinner to be prepared for us the first night of our stay.

With the restrictions of Covid this property was wonderful for our large group of 16. We generally travel to a resort in in the Caribbean during this time however given our restrictions we wanted warm and in the United States. This property far exceeded our expectations. Expansive with plenty of room, amazing pool and bar area, and amenities. The most wonderful part of this retreat is the service that you receive from the property manager. The retreat is fully stocked which makes travel so much less stressful. It has food, drink and anything you can think of that you might need. The local pharmacy and grocery store are very close as well (2minutes away). We rented the boat that was offered by the property and it accommodated our large group of 16. It was so nice to show up and then leave with no worries. It you are traveling with family or friends and want an escape from the world this is the place. Great Florida weather and all the amenities you would need. We also had the property manager arrange a chef for one of our nights. Amazing dinner with no clean up. This resort is definitely a RETREAT!

The retreat in Marathon was a fantastic property with all the amenities you would want. The stocked bar and fridge was certainly a fantastic bonus. Ruth made the check in process a breeze. She went out of her way to order some some special food we requested for Christmas dinner. I would not hesitate to book the retreat again.

We spend one week with our entire family of 12 at Marathon. The house is exactly as advertised and yes as the video says once you are there you won't want to leave. Ruth was fantastic and the best chef ever! I personally gained 5 pounds while under Ruth's culinary care. Make sure you do at least one meal prepared by Ruth to complete a perfect stay. We played more games and had more fun than we ever would have had at a resort. I would highly recommend this stay to anyone, it is amazing!

The Retreat was the perfect property for our family of 19. We spent most of our time in the pool, playing games and enjoying the Bali bar. Ruth was an incredible host and took care of our every need. She cooked 3 meals for our family which was a highlight of our trip allowing our family to fellowship and enjoy each other. Having stayed in the Keys many times, we highly recommend The Retreat as it is the best property we have enjoyed. 5 star for sure.
