We planned a family get away for Dad who is an avid fisherman and wanted to go steelhead fishing with “his ladies”. I found this location which turned out to be the perfect spot for us and our two daughters. We spent part of our time on the Trinity that was walkable from the house. Gorgeous area! We also did a guided boat ride on Sunday landing several fish. The owners were easy to communicate with, the house is well stocked with all necessary amenities, the beds were comfortable and the location was quiet and peaceful. We will dry be back for another trip. Highly recommended.

Unique property with vast area and amazing river access! Great for fishing, swimming or just relaxing by the river. It was 110F during our trip, but we remained cool because of excellent cooling in the house and also the cold river water. Would love to come back some day.

We greatly enjoyed our time at the Arttus Ranch property! Daily visits from the local deer, beautiful wild trout on the end of my line and refreshing dips in the Trinity River....all while on your own private beach!
Dennis and Lorrie were great hosts, even getting out to the property in less than an hour to fix an unanticipated issue with the AC....which was GREATLY appreciated with the triple-digit heat!
This trip was exactly what we were looking for, and I would absolutely recommend Dennis & Lorrie for their great customer service....THANK YOU!

Great place to stay. So peaceful and quiet. The bed was comfortable and the swamp cooler did a great job at keeping it cool during the day. At night the temperatures were low enough that we could just keep the windows open and enjoy the breeze. We loved it!

House was perfect for our two families. My husband, newborn daughter, dog, and I all slept in the master bedroom with bathroom. Our friends with their 5-year old daughter slept in the back two bedrooms with their own bathroom. The rooms were separated by the kitchen and mudroom, so it felt very spacious and private for the week stay. We enjoyed the fire place and games together in the living room. There are lots of great fishing holes nearby within walking or driving distance. We enjoyed the wintery weather and being cozy inside together. The hosts were excellent in reaching out to us proactively with information and being available for questions. We would love to stay here again.

This is a great spot for all things Trinity. House serves its purpose and has what you need. Property is clean and in a good location. Easy access to the river with a nice fishing hole. It’s a spot you can relax in. We enjoyed our stay.

Great location, great house, great hosts. Communication is very good. Far enough off the beaten path to be quiet and feel remote, but close enough to town to not take too long to shops, stores & restaurants. Fishing access is walkable close and worth bringing a pole. Will be back, and it’s highly recommended.

I’ve stayed many times at this cabin and for good reason: it is in a great location for exploring the Trinity Alps, clean, and has everything I need for spending a relaxing weekend. The only sounds you’ll hear are nature related. The owners are also very helpful and nice.

The place was great for my buddy and I. Would easily sleep three. It was clean, nice and right in the middle of our fishing locations on the Trinity.

Great access to the river and more than enough room for our two families to be in the house. Kids enjoyed the freedom to run across the pasture, straight to the water.

I want to start off by mentioning that this property looks more secluded than it does once you get the address and look it up on google. There are about 3-4 residences nearby (1 next door) that you can see so it wasn't as secluded as I had hoped (if you are like us and want as secluded as possible it was a bummer) but that did NOT make our stay unpleasant by any means! The closest neighbor watched us get into the house when we arrived and there were some ladies walking by the next morning with their dogs and that was about it, so the location in the long run did not disappoint. Also the pictures show a fireplace and when I asked about firewood they advised me "The fireplace inside is disabled - there is a heater there instead.I bought something called a "solo stove" for outside on the back patio for ambience, not really for warmth. There are some little "fire pods" that help start it. I haven't used it yet...." I was a bit bummed out but I want to say the thing that is there instead still makes you feel like you have a fire going and the heaters in the house work TOO well, we were not disappointed (we never ended up using the solo stove)! The beds were super comfortable/new, the kitchen well stocked, and there is a bench/cutting block counter right next to the stove that I LOVED. The little back porch area was very private and covered which was nice. Also the fact that the hosts allow pets is amazing seeing as how they are part of the family too. All in all we had a great time and really enjoyed it, we would definitely rent again. Thank you to the hosts for responding back to me so quickly on everything. From the instant we submitted our desire to stay to the last question we asked they were VERY prompt and helpful. Thanks again!

It is a cozy home with an amazing access to the Trinity River. We enjoyed sipping our coffee/tea on the small deck in the morning, taking the short stroll to the river, and seeing the family of deer that roam the area.

Overall a lovely experience. An older home with modern kitchen. There are little things that give it character and make it feel homey. The night sky view is amazing, and it is a quick stroll to the water. Hosts are very quick to respond to any questions. Neighbors were polite and introduced themselves on day 1.
