The property was extremely nice. You can tell that it was designed with the details in mind: lots of shade, windows situated to maximize the breeze with amazing views of the water & nearby bay.
Mary, the property owner, was very thorough in explaining the surrounding area including the restaurants, nearby beaches & stores. She made me feel welcomed & informed. She even sent a map with certain places circled, very nice touch.
We had an issue and she was very accommodating & understanding. I appreciated that.
I would stay here again.

Relaxing Holiday
We had a lovely time at this beautiful home. Well designed and built with the most beautiful view and a lovely swimming pool overlooking the ocean.
Good air conditioning in the bedrooms in the evening and a through breeze in the living areas in the daytime that kept the house cool and fresh.
An easy to use and beautifully equipped kitchen with most cooking condiments that you need. Every pot and pan, knife and plates and glasses for inside and out.
We felt very secure as it was in a lovely neighbourhood with pretty landscaped gardens.
We found a tiny resort hotel called Laluna , 20 minutes away, that had a lovely spa for massages and a day pass was available there as well if you wanted to snorkel, paddle board or sit on the beach. The restaurant was lovely and the staff there were exemplary. As it is the quiet season we were almost the only people there.
A housemaid comes 3 times a week and changes the towels, wipes the kitchen sides, cleans the toilets and sweeps the floor.
We were picked up at the airport which was a wonderful treat as it would be quite hard to find the house the first time you go there.
We hired a car and enjoyed lovely road trips to the rum factory in the north, les Grande Anses beach and St Georges harbour in the West, Les Sauteurs in the North
Our sons used the gym at LaLuna and got temporary membership at Fit for Life in Les Grand Anses.

Our family (2 parents, 2 kids, 2 grandparents) spent a week at the lovely Hibiscus villa. The villa is beautiful where all the small and important details have been planned. The pool is of good size with wonderful views. Nice and plentiful linens. We all felt very safe and comfortable. The owner was so thoughtful with sending us a lot of helpful information prior to our trip. We greatly appreciated how well our stay at the villa was managed. We loved Grenada and this villa!

The hand-made mahogany doors, windows and shutters are works of art that set the stage for this house. They are magnificent examples of architectural form and function. Whether wide open for the day or secured at night, they merge indoor and outdoor spaces into a seamless experience. As you sit by the pool, prepare a meal, dine inside or out, relax in the living room or sleep in a bedroom, you’ll be enveloped by the luxurious Caribbean breezes that flow throughout the house day and night. Despite new, efficient AC units in each of the bedrooms we never needed to turn any on throughout our 10-day stay during very warm weather. Instead we had restful, comfortable nights as we slept surrounded by refreshing ocean breezes.
As with the windows and doors, a very high standard of fit and finish is maintained throughout the rest of house. The overall layout of the is efficient, convenient and suitable for many combinations of adults and kids. The kitchen is conveniently located, nicely designed, well equipped and has quality appliances as well as a gas grill just steps away. Plenty of sumptuous towels and linens are provided. Entertainment includes cable TV, indoor/outdoor audio systems, puzzles and games plus loads of beach equipment. The surrounding landscape is spectacular, filled with a broad assortment of botanist-quality specimens including palms, shrubs and flowering bushes in a dazzling array of color. The grounds and interior are impeccable reflecting a high level of cleaning and maintenance. The view from the pool patio, living room and primary bedrooms is a breathtaking combination of sea and shoreline cliffs. Located on the south eastern coast, the location is private and secluded yet convenient to the many attractions Grenada has to offer. A variety of beaches and restaurants, a plantation, a botanical garden, distilleries, marinas, water sports, water falls, grocery stores, the main city and the airport are all within a short drive.
As if all of the above were not enough, the homeowners go out of their way to make their guests feel welcome prior to and during their stay. Informative, thoughtful and available they are as gracious as the home they have created.

We had a fantastic stay at Mary's villa. It is exactly as the pictures show with amazing views, a brilliant swimming pool, and superb kitchen. It was a true home from home, and we cannot recommend it highly enough.
For those who have not been, Greneda is a wonderful island. Having been to a lot of the caribbean, I can say it can only be matched by Tobago; both are understated with non of the over the top resorts that you might find in the larger islands.
We are looking forward to our next visit.

Wonderful tropical getaway for family of four
Hibiscus Villa was the perfect jumping off point for the Grenada adventure our family of four took June 11-18. The gorgeous grounds, chirping birds, cool breezes and refreshing pool were just what we needed to begin and end each day in this unique and authentic country. The house itself was very comfortable; our 16 year old and 18 year old each got their own bedroom and bathroom so they were thrilled. Beds were comfy, linens were perfect and the kitchen was well-equipped. Owner Mary was fabulously helpful, the property manager, her assistant, housekeeper Beverly, and our driver from the airport to the villa were all wonderfully informative and offered assistance, restaurant suggestions, tour advice and bookings, produce, really anything we needed. Coolers, beach bags and ice packs were even provided! There are plenty of things to see and do in Grenada, from snorkeling at the many gorgeous beaches, to touring a chocolate plantation, to seeing a leatherback turtle laying eggs, to hiking Grand Etang Nature Preserve and the Seven Sisters Waterfalls, to stand up paddle boarding, to touring St. George's University, and shopping in and around St. George's. We did it all! Grenada is now my favorite Caribbean island, and Hibiscus Villa is an excellent lodging choice, as it puts you in a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the ocean breezes up on Fort Jeudy's bluffs while being centrally located to drive into town or into the center of the island for Grand Etang, or up the eastern coast for Bathway beach, turtle watching and the chocolate plantation. Thank you, Mary, for allowing us to enjoy your vacation home!

We've been visiting Grenada for years and years, usually staying at decent hotels and pretty modest house rentals. This year we have found our perfect Grenada home. Mary, the owner, has done an incredible job planning, designing and building Hibiscus Villa. The house had everything we look for when staying in Grenada....great private location on Fort Jeudy, constant breeze to keep away the bothersome mosquitos, fabulous views, wonderful sitting areas in the shade, a "gourmet" kitchen, deliciously comfortable beds and.....the incredible pool! Couldn't ask for anything more!!!
Thank you Mary!

This villa is wonderful in every way. The layout of the home was well planed. There is shade, (if desired) from morning until night outside where you can enjoy the great view and pool area. The location and design of the home on the property makes it extreamly private. The breeze keeps the whole home cool and comfortable, we did not need the A/C. The home was built with quality materials and craftsmanship. The landscaping around the villa is professional and well maintained. This villa has a extremely well equipped kitchen and very comfortable beds and furniture to make you feel like your home. I walked a hour each morning through out the community feeling absolutely comfortable and safe. I made a few friends with my dog biscuits and had wagging tails as I passed each AM.
My wife and I have stayed in a different VRBO each on a different Caribbean Island for the past 9 years. This villa was the best equipped, most comfortable, best designed home by far. The staff is extremely eager to help in any way. The communication with the owner on the front side was always prompt and helpful. There were recommendation's on car rental, tours guides if desired, what we needed to bring....and just as important what we did not need to bring. BTW, the owner also called a day or two after we arrived to be sure everything was OK and if we needed anything....Wow. (Only one other time did a owner follow up to see if things were in order.)
There are many places to explore, things to taste, experiences awaiting. Grenada is a very special place and unique. The people of Grenada are extremely genuine and sincere. We hired a driver for "Fish Friday" & a tour of the island. George & Mike took good care of us, extremely knowledgeable and very fairly priced. We left believing we really got to know their island from the time we spent with them both. We would highly recommend them for a tour if your looking to learn more about the culture, history, plants, geography, etc of Grenada. Virtually everyone we talked with - at dinner, casual conversations, roadside BBQ, on the beach, at the market, asking for directions, etc was a absolute joy. It is a remarkable island that we will visit again.
Congrat's to the owner for building a first class villa and managing it in such professional manor.
Ace's across the board.

My husband and I felt so welcomed, comfortable and at home at Hibiscus Villa; we just completed a 2 week stay at this lovely, well-maintained/loved and perfectly located home. The views, open-air living between interior and patio/pool area was perfect. We had no problem at all with biting insects or any other undesirables. Very private yet safely located in a neighborhood that is friendly and helpful for visitors. I walk a lot and met folks who were warm and welcoming, from the service people that maintain the properties to the residents themselves. A walk to Fort Jeudy Point at sunset is a must and the tiny beach at the end of the road is delightful for a private moment/swim. The pickup at the airport (12 midnight after a plane malfunction) was prompt and the house manager met us at the villa at that outrageous hour to show us the details. Our rental car from Y & R Rentals delivered the car at 9:00AM the next morning. While driving is not for the weak-kneed in Grenada, a car offers the flexibility to appreciate the wonderment of Grenada. So beautiful in its environment and its inhabitants. Grenadiens are warm, helpful and most of all genuine; but they do not "cater" to us tourists, we blend into their culture and life style; how refreshing we found that after experiencing the more touristy islands. The food is delightful and varied.
Lastly, the rental process was so efficient. One deals directly with Mary, the builder/owner of Hibiscus Villa. She is responsive, wide-ranging in her knowledge of Grenada and travel issues and very accommodating. Booking and experiencing this villa was exceptionally easy with her involvement.
Bottom line...we loved Grenada and we absolutely recommend HV. Given the other reviews like ours, one should probably book early! Thank you Mary and Marc.

Dear Mary
Dream villa.
Dream vacation. July 30 to aug 18 . Frist time out Canada and this villa was more then what one family could ask for, beautiful layout, outdoor living, pool, the garden for taking nice picture, nearby beaches and a taxi next door. Thank you Mary, will done.
Sorry it took so long to post but we rented this villa for 3 weeks from July to late Aug. it all started with my wife wanting to go back home (she is from Grenada ) and as not been back for 21 years. I found Mary throw VRBO and what an awesome woman to work with from the time of first e mail to the last and even 1 week into our trip she called the villa to make sure ever thing is going good. By being close to the ocean the breeze in the evening was great it kept the bugs down and the villa cool. I do recommend a rental car because the villa is a 15 min walk in from the main road which I walk most of the time because I loved the view and was just a nice walk. I even got to ride on their bus service that takes you downtown the people were so friendly. When snorking which was great me and my daughter were swimming with the fish and seen the underwater statues, the boat staff where awesome. Took a trip around the island which was awesome got to see lots of stuff from the waterfall, having a monkey on my shoulder and the beaches which they have lots. The food there is to die for man can they cook, wow.
So if you are planning a trip to Grenada for some family fun time and you like your space where you can do as if you are living in your own house, this villa is the spot will lite up, very clean, and as everything you would need in a kitchen, I would give this villa and the people that own it 9 stars out of 10.
Thank you Mary again for everything

Fabulous villa
This villa is by far the best equipped villa we have rented in the Caribbean and we rent a lot of villas! The kitchen appliances, pots and pans and knives (proper chef's knives!) will keep any professional chef happy. The bed linens and the towels were all of the highest quality adding to the feel of a high class holiday. The two master suites are both lovely and a great idea. The breeze was constant and welcome. Not a mosquito to be found. The chaise lounges at the pool were divine. In short - there is no reason to leave the villa. Get your supplies and settle in and enjoy yourself! We did venture out to the Underwater Sculpture Park which was well worth it - we took the locals boat and saved a lot of time (and money) and had a very fun experience. I couldn't give a higher recommendation for a villa experience.

Great Place
Beautiful house with all the amenities, great layout including outside living area with great views. The constant breeze keeps everything comfortable. Kitchen well-stocked, unlike some rentals. Two master suites makes it ideal for two couples (our situation), and the 3rd BR was very functional. The owner is very helpful and accomodating with infomation and help, as are the on-island staff. Having gotten lost at night looking for a rental at night on another island, the pick-up at the airport as part of the rental is a great idea and indicative of the care shown by the owner to renters. Grenada is a beautiful, interesting and varied island with lovely beaches and decent diving. Really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this house.

Modern, Spotless, Beautiful Location - Great Base for a Grenada Vacation
My family and I just got back from a two week stay at Hibiscus Villa. What a wonderful experience. First of all, the house is wonderful - modern with all the amenities one could wish for, beautiful location on a hill overlooking the sea, and maintained to the highest level by friendly caring Grenadians.
Grenada is a beautiful mountainous island offering the opportunity to lay on a white sand beach, snorkel in breathtaking bays and hike through jungle right out of Jurassic Park (without the dinosaurs).
We're looking forward to our next visit back to Hibiscus Villa.

Hibiscus Villa a paradise within the paradise of Grenada!
It was unanimous that this was the best family vacation ever! Our driver George, whom the owner sent to pick us up at the airport took very good care of us. He and my son hit it off like old friends. He took us up to the to Grand Etang Lake to see the monkeys (didn't see any) and over to Grenville for a delicious Grenadian lunch of oil down and to the fish market where we bought wahoo for supper. It was a very educational trip. George pointed out all the various tree varieties and the history of the island etc.. We drove into St. George another day, went to the market and had lunch at BB's Crabback which was excellent. For most of our evening meals my son cooked in the well equipped kitchen. But one evening we went to La Phare Bleu for the friendship dinner and had wonderful conversations with the owners Dieter and Jana. Very memorable evening. One night George took my son out to get jerk chicken (yummy) from a roadside stand and his lovely wife made us Callaloo soup (what a treat). We went to La Sagesse beach for a great day and a good meal. What a beautiful quiet beach! Paradise!! On the last day we took a snorkeling trip with First Impressions. We all had a great time. Saw the underwater statues and lots of fish. The staff on the boat were very friendly. It was a great way to end our trip.
And coming back every day to Hibiscus villa was like coming home. We loved, loved, loved the villa. The view is unparalleled. Great pool, comfortable beds and with every bedroom having it's own ensuite bathroom, no family squabbles about who showers first. Mary (the owner) couldn't have been easier to deal with and made us feel comfortable and secure with all of the arrangements prior to arrival and even called while we were there to make sure we had everything we needed. Beverly the housekeeper was sweet and Fiona the property manager was extremely helpful. I never hesitated to call her if I had a question. She went out of her way to accommodate any of our needs.
I would never hesitate to recommend Hibiscus Villa to anyone.

Wonderful Villa and Place to stay and visit!
When you are living the dream, it’s hard to take in all the great things about this wonderful villa and island. I purposely waited for awhile before posting our review to recover from our great trip. I would like to keep this villa a secret for us to be able to rent when we’d like…but that would be unfair to the owners and others who are trying to find a place that is clean, comfortable, safe, and great to enjoy.
If you are like me you search and search, reading the reviews to see if the place you finally decide on will fit all your needs. We are always concerned with safety, cleanliness, comfort, convenience, etc. when searching for our villa and island. I will do the pros and cons review, but overall this is a wonderful place to stay, is it the best on the island, we cannot be the judge of that as this is the only place on this island we have stayed and this is the first trip to Grenada.
PROS-
Mary was wonderful to work with, in all ways, and is very detailed in every aspect. She also saw to any needs or concerns we had.
The staff is very good, right from the start, we were met at the airport and taken to the villa, with it being after dark when we arrived, it was a great service, and at no cost to us, other than a tip we gave.
The home is very clean and well kept, it has been supplied very well and other than our personal items there was few things we lacked for, they even leave condiments from the previous tenants and other supplies, such as some spf lotions and oils, along with bug spray, etc.
Fiona was our tour guide and assistant when we arrived, she was detailed and didn’t stay long, which was nice after a long day of travel.
The housekeeper and gardener were very nice and tried to stay to themselves, leaving us to enjoy the villa and our privacy.
We only used the one master bedroom so I cannot speak to the other bedrooms, other than they appeared clean and comfortable, one with a king and the other with a full size bed, both had their own bathrooms, which is nice. The main master was very comfortable, with a walk through closet and a clean and nice bathroom. The nicest things about it was the bed was very comfortable, with several styles of pillows for you to get just the right one for you, and the TV was wonderful to retire too. It would be nice to have this if you were staying with others so you could retire early and have some private time together. If it were my villa, I would put a TV in each bedroom so everyone had that conven

This home is well kept and the owner and their staff were very helpful. The view of the ocean from the pool area was beautiful. The location was private and quiet. Grenada itself made this only an average vacation spot. We have rented homes in St John,St Croix, and Grand Cayman and getting around those islands in a rental car was fairly easy. In Grenada none of the roads were marked and a lot of the roads were narrow and crowded because there is no shoulder for the locals to park on or walk so they walk in the road and park in the road making it hard to get around. Except at the craft markets and the local store the people were not very friendly and the stores and restaurants often had security guards which made us wonder why they needed them. There is always a breeze at this house which kept things cool but the lack of screens did allow mosquitoes into the house in the evenings. This home is a great value for the money compared to other island rentals but Grenada was the poorest of the 6 islands that we stayed on.

Grenada Anniversary
The Villa met and/or exceeded our expectations! Everything was super; the house was immaculate, the groceries that we had requested were there and all we had to do was unpack our suitcases. I would have loved to have been able to stay longer, especially since we lost 3 nights at the beginning due to the snow storm. The property manager, Fiona, was as helpful as you would have wished; the island guide, Cateye, (whom we have used on previous visits) knows everything about the island. He is both a tour guide and a taxi service. There was absolutely nothing that I would have changed about the house! This was one fabulous vacatiov villa!!

My family and I enjoyed the Hibiscus Villa immensely. The owner Mary is more than helpful with pre-arrival details, the house manager and neighbors are extremely nice, and the property itself is beautiful. Private, gorgeous views, a very comfortable and well appointed home. You can't go wrong with this rental.
