The condo is located in South Kihei on Maui's sunny South side. The complex has a recently renovated pool area and beautiful, well-maintained tropical grounds. It is located within walking distance to everything, less than a 5-minute walk from Charley Young Beach, one of Maui's best swimming beaches, and Cove Park beach, one of Maui's best beginner surf spots. Shopping, restaurants, cafes, and Starbucks are within a 10-minute walk as is Kalama Beach Park which has beach volleyball courts, a skateboard park, a roller-skating rink, basketball courts and a playground. There's an assigned, off-street parking right in front of the unit. The entire condo has been furnished and decorated with contemporary and warm décor. Tile flooring throughout the unit helps keep it cool and comfortable. The master bedroom features a luxurious, four poster king bed and a luxury plush, serta-pedic mattress when you need to rest after a long day at the beach, the pool or sightseeing around the island. The second bedroom is the perfect hangout spot for kids with a twin bunk bed, plenty of space to play and a portable crib for the little one. The bunk bed can be separated into two twin beds. The living room is spacious, features a couch, chair and coffee table, as well as a small dining area. And all the entertainment options you need are provided with a new 55" 4K UHD Roku Smart TV with free Netflix and YouTube TV, and of course there's free high speed WIFI. The bathroom was remodeled in 2011 with a bathtub for the kids, shower, and a large vanity with room for all your toiletries. And for those beautiful mornings or perfect, warm evenings there's a table and comfortable chairs on our private lanai so you can have your breakfast and dinner outside with a view of the tropical garden and the pool. The beautiful and functional kitchen with Corian countertops is fully stocked with everything you need to cook in your home away from home. The kitchen has a dishwasher, microwave, oven, gas stove, all necessary cooking utensils, blender, coffee maker, toaster, rice cooker and much more. The condo is stocked with everything needed for a comfortable and fun stay. That includes beach chairs, umbrella strollers, coolers, beach towels, lots of towels, and some board games and toys. With two bedrooms, the condo is just perfect for you and your kids. With two children of my own the condo has been furnished with everything I look for when traveling with the kiddos. The unit provides a luxurious hideaway for adults with a beautiful master bedroom, a functional kitchen and perfect entertainment system. On top of that, everything has been setup with kids in mind. It is all about keeping the kids happy so that everyone is happy! The second bedroom comes with a bunk bed and has a large open floor space so there's room to play. There is also a real wood portable crib on wheels that can fit in either bedroom or be moved around, as needed. There is a single and a double umbrella stroller. With a stroller, the nearby playground, beaches and restaurants are within walking distance for everyone! The condo is on the ground level and doesn't have any stairs, so you don't need to carry anything or anyone up and down the stairs or have anybody fall down. The condo is generally child safety proofed. The ladder on the bunk bed can be taken off making the top bunk bed off limits and there is a safety gate to close off the kitchen (or any room for that matter). No dangerous fall from the lanai as it's on the ground floor. Other things to make your stay enjoyable include toys, games, plastic kids utensils, booster chair, beach toys, and kids' life vests (use at own risk). And I know your kids will enjoy picking their favorite TV show on Disney+ or Netflix when they need to wind down after an action-packed day. Very much enjoyed our stay especially after we were able to pick up a car rental. First day was very difficult for us as the distance to pick up groceries is a fair walk. We thought by the maps it was a lot closer. Renting a vehicle gave us a lot more freedom. A must have to get around Kihei.
One suggestion though is maybe check the lock to get into the pool area. I got stuck in there & couldn’t get out for quite awhile. It is very tricky to lock & unlock.

We island hopped during our time in Hawaii, and were in Maui only a few days for a wedding. This condo was great for my family (we have a 6 and 3 year old). They thoroughly enjoyed the bunkbeds and toys and I appreciated having a separate room from them. The parking lot is nice and close to the condo, which I also appreciated since we didn't exactly travel light. Checking in and out was straightforward. Overall this was a good stay at a good price for my family.

We stayed at this property for 10 days and overall had a great stay. Location is great for beach access! Easy walk with toddlers to the beach and beach toys and boogie boards included. A little longer/too far of a walk to restaurants for us, we just have little kids that don’t enjoy walking that far and one was too big to fit in the double stroller that’s provided in the unit unfortunately. But the walk is definitely doable for older kids. Great location overall. We loved the pool, note though that it’s not heated. There are grills near the pool that are great. Shower too to rinse off sand.
Unit itself is a lot bigger than I was expecting which was a nice surprise. Nice kitchen with everything you need. Toaster wasn’t working and the owner sent a new one. Oven issue and the owner sent an air fryer. Super responsive and eager to help/make things right!
The couch is old and not super comfy. Needs replacement as does the chair in the living room. Mattresses also, in my opinion. I have back problems and just couldn’t get comfortable, but you will likely be fine if you don’t have back problems (my husband was fine). Air conditioning units were getting up there in age and a little loud but they worked well enough.
Nice big TV, games/puzzles/toys for kids a major plus.
A note on the sand comments in the unit: yes, it’s noticeable. We just swept a little bit every day and that helped a ton. We loved having the windows open and having that breeze come in, so with it!

We had an incredible stay at Michael’s condo. It was absolutely perfect for anyone traveling with young kiddos. It was squeaky clean and the A/C and fans were a life saver in the evening as well. We will be back!

This condo was a great fit for what we wanted -- convenient location in Kihei close to the beaches, well-stocked for beach fun, and economical price point. Michael was a wonderful host who checked on us regularly (we were there during the Maui fires). We really loved the beach items -- two chairs, boogie board, surf board, umbrella, and large and small coolers, plus other beach/pool toys. Made things very easy for us to enjoy our time with two kids who love the sand and surf. You'll need to be conservative with A/C usage, but that was not a problem for us and there is a good breeze with windows open too. Had no issues with the unit, and we enjoyed our stay. Great space and location, very close to a beach and park for kiddos. Stocked with beach supplies - toys, noodles, boogie board and most importantly a large Ice cooler which is a must for long drives through Road to Hana day trips. Thought that was very thoughtful. Very happy with our stay. Highly recommend.

Excellent location! Walking distance to the beach. Great to have beach gear and coolers. King size bed very comfortable. Pool is great also! Room for improvement: quieter AC, replacement of some indoor/outdoor doors and windows, provide TP for entire stay and kleenex also! For what it costs… Overall great time staying in Kihei!

We had an amazing stay. The photos do not do the place justice. It is lighter than the photos. The condo can be cooled down if you follow the instructions. There were no issues. Laundry on site was easy. The king bed was comfortable, the twin beds were okay, but my toddlers were too young to care (it was me that cared ha). The condo had toys, books, a double stroller, booster seats, 4 beach chairs, coolers, some snorkeling equipment, etc. If you need life jackets/floaties, bring your own. We enjoyed the short walk to Charlie Young Beach. Overall we would stay here again. The pool and BBQ area were great. The kitchen was stocked with everything you need to cook and a few condiments left by former guests.

We loved the condo. It was everything we expected. A bit noisy from traffic in the mornings but we new that from reading others reviews. We got used to it. Peolpe were super friendly. We would definitely stay there again.

The flat had enough space. The living Room and kitchen was well equiped. The bed was terrible. The matress was dreadful and everytime me or my spouse moved, there was a squeezy noise and you can feel the bedspring, so neither I or him woke up.
I spent the last 3 days of our vacation on the Sofa. The Sofa is soft by the way.

Our family of 4 stayed at this fabulous condo May 2023, and we couldn’t have picked a better place to call home for our stay. This condo is exactly as advertised and met all of our expectations! You are just a short walk to our favourite beach (Charley Young), and many restaurants that feature good food and live entertainment each night. Kihei is a short drive from the airport (under 30 minutes), and is a central location to visit all of the amazing spots throughout Maui. Kihei itself enjoys some of the best weather on the island (less rain and calm surf), and the beach closest to the condo is where we saw the most turtles while snorkelling off of the beach. The Smart TV, AirCon, Dishwasher etc., all made for a relaxing time after a day of beaching. The unit is very quiet and being on the corner, you have a lot of privacy while enjoying the lanai. The pool is a great addition too! Overall, 2 thumbs up!

The condo was extremely clean and the furnishings, dishes, etc. we’re perfect.
Mom and dad appreciated the ultra comfy king bed. We also loved the Weber grills on the pool area, which were incredibly clean.
The kids loved the bunk beds and spent many hours in the pool which seemed to be updated recently. It was very clean and well taken care of.
We would definitely stay here again on our next trip. Having 2 bedrooms was our main reason to rent this condo over others and we were very pleased with our choice.

This was our third stay in Kihei and we typically stay in one of the other condo buildings. This was our first stay at Kalama Terrace and we instantly fell in love with this condo. From first entering into the large living/ dining room area to the large bedrooms and the well equipped kitchen we were very satisfied with our stay. This unit also has quite a selection of toys that kept our kids entertained on the days that we had to keep out of the sun a little bit. The kitchen was well stocked with quality pots and pans, which is not always the case in rentals but was much appreciated. This building is also a little quieter than the building we stayed in previously, which worked well for our family.
The owner was very responsive and understanding. We had a couple small issues while we were staying there and he responded quickly and rectified the issues the best he could. We also had a few questions before our stay and he was quick to answer and is great to deal with.
Maui Dreams dive shop is located just north of the condo and was a great company for my wife to try out scuba diving. Charlie Young Beach is a short walk away and is always a great spot for using the boogie boards. Tons of shops and restaurants within walking distance. The local coffee and food is always amazing.
Overall we were very satisfied with our stay and would stay here again on future trips to Maui without hesitation. Thank you Micheal for making our stay even better by letting us stay in your condo.

We brought 2 of our grandsons to Maui with us. The second bedroom was fantastic. The beach right down the street became Our Beach! Close enough to walk to beach, restaurants, grocery store. Nice to have the pool and grills on the grounds as well. Thank you 😊

We were excited to visit Maui, Hawaii and I got engaged during our stay as well so Maui has a special place in my heart. As far as the stay, I can’t give a raving review as this is what our first impression of the place, we noticed the floor isn’t clean as it feels sticky/ greasy (I brought it up to the owner’s attention and he mentioned that they used Windex to clean the floor which is why it feels that way), we felt the Bathroom sink has a slow draining and the Towels do not smell like they’re clean (smells moldy). Also the Living room Ceiling fan light doesn’t work which the owner is aware of and it’s one of the things on his list of to do’s. Also the bedroom AC is extremely loud. Make sure to bring your own toiletries, would have came in handy if they have those available at the location. Overall, it’s an okay stay.

The location of the unit is perfect for walking to the beach. We enjoyed a sunrise and sunset walk every day at the beach/park. The unit is nice that it is a corner unit, so you have windows and nice light on two sides. Having some beach toys was cool too. We will stay here again if we visit Kihei again.

This apartment is very spacious, with two bedrooms and a large sitting room. It is within walking distance of two great beaches, the best being Charley Young. You can also walk into the 'town' area for shops and restaurants. The bed is super comfortable, the best we slept in during our 3-week stay in the Hawaiian Islands.
The downside is that the apartment is in need of some updating. There isn't a lot of natural light and the heavy red curtains don't help, at times it feels oppressive.
But don't let this put you off. It has the added bonus of a parking space very close to the entrance. And the apartment is on the ground floor, so no flights of stairs to carry bags up.

It was a simple condo that did the job. The air conditioning was so nice to have though! The kitchen was well stocked with cooking supplies- I prefer a Teflon pan though. The suite was clean and had an adequate supply of towels and beach chairs. It was a great vacay!

We just finished a 2 weeks stay. The condo was clean and was exactly as shown in the listing pictures. Well stocked with everything we need for all our meals, there was even a good assortment of kitchen staples such as salt, pepper, sugar, basic spices, cooking oil ect. The beach was a short walk away and the beach gear including beach chairs, umbrella and beach toys were awesome! We loved the pool at the condo, it was so close to the suite and generally very quiet. The air condition was so nice to have on hot Maui days! Micheal the owner was great to deal with and always very responsive. Would recommend!

We stayed a week in September and this property hit all our needs. My daughter is 17 months and the crib, booster chair with built in table which strapped to a chair, beach toys, beach chairs, and cooler (we used the small one but they had a big one too) were everything we needed. The accommodations were functional and comfortable. We weren’t looking for anything super fancy and just needed a place to sleep and prepare meals.
There were two AC units which were both easy to work and kept the place cool if you followed instructions. One is located in the master bedroom and the other in the living room. The guest bedroom didn’t have its own AC unit but we found that the living room AC was strong and as long as you left the guest bedroom door open you’d be fine. Luckily my daughter was able to sleep with the door open and a bit of light shining in from the living room as she went to bed earlier than us.
The kitchen was fully stocked. Outside of the typical pots, plates, cups, it also had oil, salt/pepper, spices and more. I want to say there were even ziplock bags which we didn’t need to use. This was great as it saved us from having to buy when you only need a little bit. These items may have been leftover by previous renters but they sure were appreciated!
Parking was super easy (although finding it in the dark the first night we arrived was a bit tough, but we were able to find it pretty quickly after one of us got out and walked around). You get a dedicated spot in the parking lot and it’s not too far from the unit which is on the first floor. I was concerned at first about the unit being on the first floor and the baby sleeping in a room by herself but rest assured the guest bedroom did not have sliding doors and in order for someone to get in and snatch the baby they’d have to make a heck of a lot of noise and it would probably take quite some time at which point we’d already be up.
Finally, we didn’t see any cockroaches which is to be expected in a tropical climate. But we were also super meticulous about taking out our trash as I didn’t want to have any encounters with them!
Bottom line, this place was perfect for our kid friendly needs. Oh and the host, Michael, was super responsive to emails. Thanks Michael for a great stay!

We had a great stay at this condo. The condo was really well stocked with more than the basics, especially when it came to beach gear. The umbrella, boogie boards, beach chairs and beach towels were really useful for our daily beach trips. We were also really grateful that the condo had a large tv with netflix on it to chill after an exhausting day of activities. We had an issue with the kitchen sink that Michael was really prompt with fixing. He was really communicative over text and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great vacation. Big thanks to Michael for our wonderful trip to Maui.

Michael’s condo was very comfortable for us. The kids like the bunk beds and Netflix. We like the comfortable king bed. We appreciated solid stainless pots and pans, nice plates and bowls, just real details like someone isn’t just using it as a rental.
I saw turtles and even a shark (who couldn’t have cared less about me) snorkeling right across the street at Charlie Young beach, and some great sunsets. In between the condo and Foodland is a nice walkable area of shops, bars, restaurants and food trucks that goes much further in than you’d notice just driving down the main drag. Foodland has great poke, and if you get in line around dinner you’ll see half the people are buying it.
