Stay in a first floor studio on a grassy bluff overlooking the sea. Short walk down the bluff to pool and long sandy beach
1 km walk down the beach to many restaurants and a few convenience stores

My wife and I stayed at this vacation rental last week and it was awesome!! When we arrived Christian the owner greeted us to help with our luggage. He took us to the Condo/ apartment and explained everthing that we needed to know.
He provided us with a map and showed us location of other beaches, restaurants and activities. Christian was very helpful and made us feel very comfortable. Christian’s wife Chantel made us some crepes and they were delicious!
We opened the back sliding door and could see the beach and watched a beautiful sunrise every morning!
Orient beach was a very short walk out the back door.
We went to several beaches in St Martin but Orient beach just outside the back door was by far the best beach in St Martin!
There are several restaurants and bars right on the beach which was a very short walk from our vacation rental.
We had a lot of fun during our stay here!!
I would highly recommend staying here at Christian’s vacation rental condo!!

Location is absolutely perfect with balcony/deck opening directly out to the ocean and Orient Beach.; Christain and Cahntel were excellent hosts and stayed in touch to make sure we had what we needed. Very receptive to minor comments about things in the unit. Unit as a whole very good, although some aspects could use a little upgrading and modernizing. I would certainly stay there again if returng to St
Martin.

I stayed for 2 weeks and everything was great from start to finish. Checking in was easy, Christian was very helpful and showed me everything about the suite and the ammenities. The room has great views of the beach and the sunrise. It is calm and peaceful but only a short walk down the beach to all of the bars and restaurants.

Property still suffering the affects of last hurricane
Tennis on site but it’s not usable
No Umbrellas or beach loungers on beach - no umbrellas at pool (not good if you’re very white and burn)
Sliding door had a broken lock which property owner knew about (he did cut some wood to secure it for me after I complained)
Little grocery shop on site - very nice ladies
Big grocery store is just up the street - great selection
Unit was clean and bed was comfy
Kitchen is functional - but can’t read symbols on oven - using it was guess work - stove top was good
Beach is very beautiful and you can walk along beach to bars with umbrellas (10min walk) and must buy drinks or food to use umbrellas but great atmosphere at the bar

An absolutely stunning ocean view awaits you! The bed is also very comfortable and bedding is great. The hosts are very kind and respond very quickly to any requests you might have. The appartement is in a very safe residence and a great area. There’s also a beautiful brand new pool for the residents right on the beach. There are a few opportunities to mention. First, I found that for the price the amenities were lacking. We were disappointed to find no toilet paper, no paper towels, and a dirty old sponge to wash the dishes. We were informed it was an oversight from the cleaning lady and the hosts brought us some asap. We had a fair bit of ants which required us to vacuum daily. Again once the hosts were informed they fumigated asap. Lastly, the pans are old and scratched up and the appartement is not adequate for much cooking. We only made coffee and light breakfasts which was really all that was possible. There’s also no warm/hot water to wash your dishes. Lastly, what was most important for us was a beach and we had asked the hosts a few days before if there was seaweed and they informed us it gets picked up daily. It does get removed, that said the beach was unswimmable as the ocean is full of seaweeds in this area. In order to swim you must walk down about 8 mins on the beach towards orient bay. During our entire week in St-Martin, we went to several beaches and this one was by far the worse when it comes to seaweed in the ocean making it impossible to enjoy or swim.

Excellent cozy little studio with a great location
We thoroughly enjoyed the peaceful setting, lack of foot traffic, and especially the sound of the waves and the feel of the breeze on the patio in the evenings. Easy access to Orient Beach and Grand Case, incredibly friendly and helpful hosts. Thanks much!

The property owners lived near the area and were very helpful. We loved the beach access and the location of the room in the complex (very quiet). Would definitely stay with them in the future.

Wonderful time
Although it was sad to see the devastation caused by Hurricane Irma the island is still a beautiful place to visit. The people are resilient and are working to rebuild. The property is located very close to the beach with a wonderful view.
Chantal, though having to deal with her son’s medical issues, was very helpful.
She was very quick to respond to any questions we had to insure we were comfortable and enjoyed our stay.
During our travels around the island we encountered so many great people.
Everyone is very friendly and will not hesitate to help you find your way around or suggest sights to see and activities.
There are many nice restaurants nearby from fine dining to casual.
We found so many great food stops in Grand Case covering all spectrums of cuisine it was hard to choose.
In a nutshell; if you’re looking for a place to visit with many wonderful people and more things to do than you can possibly imagine you can find it here.

I even left my Louis Vuitton bag in the car by accident for days 🤦🏻♀️ And no one bothered it. The assigned parking spot was fabulous never had to worry about parking. I would definitely come back. Oh and the AC works great! So well i wish they’d had an extra blanket ( my fiancé thought it felt great. I got cold) not a bad problem in the islands😘.

Started off shaky as my AT&T iPhone had no service. The man at Avis’ call would not go thru on landline or cell phone. Undeterred we drove to Mont Vernon following the excellent map Chantal provided. Luckily, we found a man at a gate shack on the way & he called Chantal. He said there are sometimes problems calling from one side to the other.
Chantal met us at the top of the steps & even helped us with our luggage. Please note the resort is very hilly & there are a lot of stairs. She spent time showing us the condo & amenities answering all our questions. She offered cold beer & left us a bottle of wine.
The condo is very nice, clean & comfortable; the view is spectacular. We arrived after dark with a full moon shining over the sea. Everything needed is in the condo: linens, beach towels & chairs, coffee maker, microwave, dinnerware, cookware & flatware, even some condiments & a few toiletries. The TV has 5 English channels (ABC, NBC, CNN, HBO & Showtime) & many French channels.
The resort is an old hotel converted to private condos. About 25% occupied during our June stay. It has seen better days but we knew what to expect going in & were very happy with both the condo and facilities. There are friendly kitties around that visit you on the patio. The pool is nice and large and the beach is spectacular. You must walk about a kilometer south to get past the Sargasso piling up on the north end of Orient Bay. There are beaches with rental chairs and umbrellas on Orient Bay and Pinel Island.
The other people we met in the condos were all friendly. There is a small market, bar & restaurant near the old lobby. The restaurant serves the best pizza we found on the island. We spent most of our time in Orient Bay, Cul de sac, Pinel Island & Grand Case. Mont Vernon is the perfect location to explore this part of the island. Food is utterly amazing. Le Taitu was our favorite but Le Piment, Yellow Sub, Karibuni and Pancho Villa’s were also excellent. Bistrot Caraibes & Spiga in Grand Case were very good but pricy. Leader Price (French) & Hope Market (American) were all we needed for groceries. There is a pharmacy at the top of the hill on the way to Cul de sac.
We loved St. Martin, Orient Bay & Chantal & Cristian’s condo in Mont Vernon. I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

Perfect location and view
Nice appartement, perfect for kitesurfing as the appartement is almost on the beach. Also enjoyed the view and the swimming pool. Already started to recommend your location to friends.

We stayed in their ground floor studio unit. The unit itself was great, location was great, view of the ocean and beach was great. The issue we personally had was with the patio door facing the ocean. There is a door, similar to a garage door, that has to be closed at night and anytime you leave. It's closes off the entire patio. This prevents you from ever enjoying the ocean in the evenings and listening to the sounds of the waves at night. Also, it makes it very hard to walk down to the beach because you can't just leave from the patio. You have to close the "garage door" then go out through the back and walk around. It defeats the purpose of paying more for a ground floor beach front unit. If you don't want to walk to the beach from your patio & you don't want to listen to the ocean at night, this would be a great unit for you and I'm sure you'd enjoy your stay. If you are looking for a true beach front unit and the ability to listen to the ocean at night, you probably shouldn't stay in Mt. Vernon. I'd recommend staying in Grand Case for a better beach front experience.

We absolutely loved sitting on the patio each morning enjoying the fantastic view of Orient Bay Beach while sipping on our coffee. At the end of a day spent exploring the beautiful island we had a glass of wine on the patio while listening to the waves crash, watching the last of the light descend behind the mountains of St Bart's. Magical!
The condo has a comfortable king bed, a well appointed kitchen, great shower with lots of hot water, a large tv that can be viewed from the bed with adequate English tv channels and a comfortable sofa bed. Chantal and Christian have thought of everything to make your beach vacation complete; ice packs in the freezer, cooler and beach chairs, umbrella, and beach towels...nothing has been forgotten! Wine and sparkling wine on ice greets you after a long day flying. The kitchen has coffee, spices, oils, coffee filters, some basics like paper towel and dish soap to get you started. It is wonderfully clean and inviting, you do feel very at home! This unit also comes with its own parking spot which you will find is quite a bonus when you see how many people are searching for a spot at the end of the day.
The building is quiet, most of the residents are mature adults in the Aruba building enjoying a restful vacation. It is not a fancy place, it was a former hotel that has been converted to condo units, but it had everything we desired including access to a great beach with ample room for everyone. Also conveniently located to Grand Case and its great restaurants, Anse Marcel and Pinel Island.
Chantal and Christian are fabulous hosts which sets this unit above others and was a big factor in our choice to come back. They greet you at the reception, show you how everything at the unit works, you are left with their phone number if you have an issue. They are a wealth of information about everything on the island and are eager to share their love of it with you. They live just a short walk from the condo and will accommodate any reasonable request if they can. We arrived with our luggage and bags of groceries and they helped us lug them down to the condo! We had a late flight and they allowed us a later checkout even though they had a guest coming in on our heels and would have been scrambling to get it cleaned and ready. That's just how hard they try for you!

My husband and I truly enjoyed our trip to St. Martin! The views are fabulous from the patio! Chantal and Christian's apartment is lovely, we felt right at home.
It had everything we needed, a well-equipped kitchen, nice, updated furnishings and a good-size bathroom. It was great having our own parking space for the week!
We also appreciated the informative book they put together of local great restaurants/shops and the best sights to see and things to do on the island.
They included their contact info if we needed anything. It was a pleasure meeting them. We will certainly book with them again! Sharon & Larry

GREAT STAY!!!
My wife and I spent our 20th anniversary in this wonderful unit and we couldn't have asked for more! Chantal and Christian were great! They welcomed us with useful information about the island and provided a bottle of wine, along with 2 Carib beers, to celebrate our special occasion. There were also fresh flowers in the room! The island was amazing, and we're already planning our next trip.....at the same unit of course!!!!

A Very Belated Thanks to Our Wonderful Hosts!
Via Manhattan, my wife and I spent seven nights at Chantal and Christian's ground-floor unit in January 2014 (...the arrival date prompt box would only let me go as far back as 2016...), and I'm just now getting around to leaving them a review. Despite my inexcusable delay, I would like to extend our most heartfelt thanks for their excellent accommodations and top-notch hospitality!
Our charming unit was situated in a terrific location on the quiet side of Orient Bay, which we found it to be an ideal launch point for day trips all over the island. When we weren't out and about exploring, we were just as happy to enjoy snacks on our patio or take a long stroll beside the ocean to a handful of fun beach bars. I'd be remiss not to mention the cool horses that live on the adjacent ranch or the fantastic and reasonable pizza joint a few minutes up the road from the entrance to Mont Vernon. Altogether, Chantal and Christian's place made for a perfect combination of adventure and chill.
As if that wasn't enough, they themselves were outstanding hosts. We had zero problems booking our room and communicating with them before our trip. When we arrived, they met us out front to help with our bags, gave us a quick tour of the grounds, then left us to enjoy a couple complimentary Caribs.
Even without the beers, it was easy to tell that Chantal and Christian were good, down-to-Earth people. They gave us excellent recommendations for food spots (try the lolos--they're fun!), a laundry list of incredible beaches (complete with disclaimers as to which spots let it all hang out), and even invited us to spend an afternoon on their boat. We gladly took them up on the offer and had a great time cruising the coastline and snorkeling with their fifteen-year-old son. My favorite moment of our entire trip was when he and I managed to meet halfway between French and English in order to discuss our strategy while diving to find sleeping sea turtles. It's a special memory that I'll never forget.
Like I said, these are good people. They're amazing hosts, and they have a great place. We'd love to stay with them again!

A Tropical Paradise
What an amazing space. Chantal was the perfect host and was very helpful with suggestions of what to do on the island. The apartment has everything that you need to make it a place away from home. Bright, clean and breathtaking views of the ocean. What more is there to ask for.

Tropical Dream Come True for Anniversary Trip
Wonderful hosts, spectacular view and pleasant tropical breezes. A little slice of paradise. Fulfilled our fantasies for a wonderful 35th anniversary trip. Close enough to fun activities and many great restaurants but the lovely studio apartment is in a private area up high on Mt Vernon hilltop so there's peace and quiet when you want it. We loved it. If your renting a car try for small one since the parking spot is a tight one. Beach is down a bit of an incline...not really right outside the door but the view and breeze make up for it. There is a path to pool and beach that goes right by the small terrace area so there is occasional foot traffic right outside. King bed is so comfortable. Chantal and Christian, your hosts, are so accommodating. They even did some shopping for us before we arrived and provided a complimentary bottle of wine as well. We would definitely consider returning.

More than we imagined!! Charming and personal experience!
My fiance and I traveled from coastal North Carolina to an impromptu change in adventure and accommodations.Having our reservations for nearly six months at a boutique hotel in Grand Case, we made a last minute change of plans-having had very good success with VRBO,we decided to do the same in St. Martin.My fiance had stayed on the Dutch side several times,however this was my first trip to this island,and all that I had read about the French side seemed more quiet and romantic, which is what I wanted. Chantal responded to my request very quickly to set the reservation and was always prompt to answer my questions prior to our arrival. We rented a car and very happy we did so-in this area you don't have to have it (the last three days we were so happy and comfortable in Orient Bay,we decided to relax where we were and come back again to explore more) but is good to have for sure.There are lots of places you can go to which are better to explore with a car.The roads are easy to navigate once you get the hang of things. We did get lost for a while finding Mount Vernon-but after a few laps around the loop realized we were almost there several times. From the moment we met Christian at the entrance (he waited nearly an hour for us as we were late) our frustration went away (Pani Pwoblem!~).Chantal joined shortly to show us to our quaint, clean and beautifully located apartment where we spent the best week of vacation.We wanted nothing, and were received by such a happy and lovely couple. After they settled us in, we went to Simply Market and found a local experience of a combination of French market with some American aspects too.For us,we wanted to enjoy the French culture, especially as it was found in such a paradise.It was raining the day we arrived so we provisioned up and spent the evening relaxing in the room,and having drinks on the porch.The first few days as we were getting acclimated we cooked breakfast in the room.Soon we learned that just a short walk down the beach,great bars,restaurants and the friendliest locals were to be found, so we wanted to be there with the local culture.The first meal out we met JR-who welcomed us at Bikinis and was our fast friend. The restaurant square is just a short walk from there and the menus and service will not disappoint.You will get a shot of homemade rum at the end of each meal.We were advised to taxi at night instead of walking the beach.What a magical experience here.We will be staying here again,for sure!

Great condo Budget
Very well kept condo pictures are spot on.. Chantal and her husband were a delight to deal with. Lots of after thought went in to the condo like the cooler, chair,umbrella etc. Would definatley stay again.. Rent a car for sure this part of the island is about 20 minute drive to the airport.

The best place I ever rented
Fantastic location, right on the beach and at the foot of big (no chlorine) swimming pool. Very nicely appointed and extremely clean one bedroom. Excellent, large balcony with a great view on to the orient beach and the sea as far as the horizon allows. Steps to the beach and long walks.....
5 minutes drive to the supermarket (things are sold here from France so no problem with contamination from food From USA as on Dutch side). Five minutes walk to the great restaurant and short drive to other.....
Chantel is kind and friendly....she has been extremely informative and helpful with anything we needed without hesitation.
I cannot express my satisfaction in words. Got to go and see yourself.

For the traveler that is adventurous and wanting to fully experience St. Martin, this property is for you. Located on the French side of the island, this residence is both peaceful and conveniently collocated with many beach activities and eateries. Chantal & Christian are superb property owners and provide attentive service beginning with a warm welcome and recommendations to maximize your stay. The pictures posted do not fully capture the unit space a close proximity to the ocean. I highly recommend renting a car to easily move about to see all of the great sites this island has to offer!

A little slice of paradise
My wife and I just got back from staying 1 week at the studio. The studio is in excellent condition and the views of Orient Beach are even more impressive in person. Chantal and her son met us upon arrival and helped get us settled in. The unit is fully stocked and comes with a washer. The unit faces east and has an automatic shutter that blocks out the sunlight in the mornings, fantastic for sleeping! Simply Market is near by. There is a nice big pool located right on the beach for guests. Of all the amenities in the unit the two most useful, in our estimation, were the beach chairs and portable cooler. The beach chairs alone saved well over $100 as most beaches charge for rental of a chair on their beach, and the cooler was great to load up on Carib beer, homemade pina coladas, put the the chairs at the edge of the water, let the waves tickle your toes and sip drinks for a week. Couldn't ask for anything more. Would definitely rent this unit again, Chantal and her family are fantastic people and willing to help make your stay as magical as possible. ***Definitely rent a car*********
