Nestled in Sanibel Island, this lovely house for $391 per night is a great choice for your next break. Spoonbill is a 3-minute walk to the beautiful Gulf of Mexico waves. No need to drive or bike - just slip your sandals on and head out the door with a cool drink and a beach chair! This bright and tropical home is the perfect place for an extended vacation for a larger group, with two separate living areas for privacy. It is centrally located for easy on-off island access and walkable amenities, but on a peaceful, little-used shell road - no through traffic. Dog-friendly, too! Sorry, no cats (due to owner allergies). Enter into the casual family room with handmade driftwood dining table, comfortable couch, oversized chair and flat screen TV. The well-stocked galley kitchen with glass tiles and butcher block countertops has everything you need for a great meal. Use the bonus dining room with bar top table for game night or additional dinner seating. The master bedroom has a queen bed and a remodeled master bathroom with a newly tiled shower/tub combo and new hard surface vanity. The second bedroom has sliding glass doors out onto the beautiful shaded balcony, queen bed, and just outside the door a bathroom with a tiled shower/tub combo. The guest room is perfect for kids with a twin bed and a twin-over-full bunk bed, as well as doors to the shared balcony. The guest bath also has a tiled shower/tub combo. Spoonbill has high speed Internet and Wi-Fi as well as a washer and dryer. Head upstairs for a separate living area: one more queen bedroom, a bathroom with walk-in shower, and living room with convertible futons for extra sleeping space, plus a kitchenette/wet bar. The upstairs living room has a balcony with beautiful views, smart TV and a computer desk. Mix your favorite tropical cocktails at the tiled wet-bar (which includes a small refrigerator, coffee maker and microwave), then step out onto the deck to catch a breeze amid the peaceful, private tropical views. Spoonbill is located on a crushed shell road that rarely sees any cars, in a low key residential neighborhood. This means quiet nights to enjoy the stars and the sounds of the surf. Also, from time to time we do have potential tenants we would like to show the home to. When this happens we will notify you in advance to make sure the timing works for you. Your satisfaction is our top priority! This home is ideal for a large family or multiple families looking for a laid-back Sanibel vacation with easy access to both the beach and to all of the Sanibel shopping and dining options.

Great place

This was a pleasure to stay at. It was way closer to the beach than I originally thought when I booked it. It had all the beach stuff you would need plus bikes. We will be coming back again and again.

Fantastic house in a great location

This was my family’s first visit to Sanibel Island. We loved its walkability and bikability. It is very green and family friendly. I highly recommend the weekly Farmers Market next to city hall. Spoonbill is a highly spacious, meticulously equipped and very conveniently located property. The house sits on a very charming and quite street, minutes away from the gorgeous Gulf of Mexico. Many retaraunts, grocery and other attractions on the island are within walking or biking distance away. The house is very comfortable, spacious and well stocked. It even comes with bikes, beach toys and beach cart. All you need is your clothes, and you’d be ready for a fantastic vacation!

Clean and spacious old Florida charm

Spoonbill was perfect for us! We brought our bikes to enjoy all of Sanibel and Spoonbill made that possible. It was clean and spacious for 5 of us, and could have slept more. The location was superb, being only 1&1/2 blocks from the beach access. The street was quiet and friendly with a mixture of residents and rentals. The Kitchen was cute, providing everything necessary to cook. All towels and linens were supplied, as well as amenities to make beach time great, such as a wagon, umbrella, chairs and toys . There are even bikes available for those who do not bring their own. The air conditioner, furnace, dishwasher, microwave and laundry machines worked perfectly. The owner, Amy, and manager, Mike, were friendly and responsive and made the rental very welcoming.
