Located in Kure Beach, this attractive cottage for $265 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. Enjoy the easy life of beach living while staying at our little slice of paradise. Centrally located, this wonderful beach retreat is only 1 short block from the beach, and a quick walk to the Kure Beach Pier, local restaurants, ice cream store, and shops. This charming coastal cottage has been updated and includes a double bed in one bedroom and a double daybed and single trundle in the other bedroom. Enjoy family time with all the comforts of home. There is a TV/DVD with cable, wireless internet, and board games galore. The kitchen includes a breakfast bar with additional seating (no dishwasher but full size fridge, stove/oven, and microwave), and the large bathroom has a stack washer and dryer. This is a bright, happy, cheerful place to vacation. While we love our charming cottage, please note that it is not a brand new property and does not have granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and brand new cabinets. it is clean, comfy, cozy, and charming, and it offers plenty of conveniences (water pitcher with filter, coffee grinder, blender, picnic basket, and more). If you are seeking a charming, comfortable, affordable stay in a sweet, little beach cottage, come stay with us! If you want to bring your beloved pup, come stay with us! If you are looking for a brand new property with every modern convenience, please keep looking. We may not be the best fit. :-) The cottage is tastefully decorated and kid friendly. An outside private shower allows you to rinse off after a day of fun at the beach. The large front deck is the perfect place to enjoy sunrises, afternoon cocktails, and evening meals. There's plenty of room for parking, and trailored boat parking is also allowed. Year-round neighbors are friendly and quiet. The beach is beautiful; the water warm and clear. Enjoy miles of unspoiled beaches, visit the NC State Aquarium or the Ft. Fisher Historic Site and Museum, take a charter fishing boat or dinner cruise excursion, or travel on the Ft. Fisher Ferry to the wonderful fishing village of Southport. On two of the local beaches, you can go 4-wheeling; and there is a beautiful State Park that offers a picnic area, walking trails, a marina, and public boat access. There are plenty of activities on the island to keep your family busy and entertained after a day at the beach. Off of the island, there are several area golf courses and a waterpark. The vibrant riverfront town of Wilmington is only a short drive away, and offers fabulous restaurants, shops, a Saturday Farmer’s Market in season, walking tours of beautifully restored historic homes, ghost tours, and cultural activities. We spent 5 days at the Tiki Cottage in October 2023. Our stay was great! The sweet little cottage was perfect for my husband, myself and 2 chihuahuas. It is an old style beach cottage so everything was not expected to be shiny and new, but it was clean and so comfortable! Wendi was a joy to work with before and during our stay. We would definitely stay here again! Thanks Wendi!

This was our fifth time staying in Kure Beach, but our first time staying at the Tiki Cottage. We travel with our dogs and this was the perfect place. Quiet street, nice big front patio to enjoy meals on, and within walking distance to the beach, restaurants and convenience store. We also enjoyed taking the dogs to freeman park - about 15 minutes away - where they can be off leash on the beach from October to April. Looking forward to next fall on Kure!

We had a great time staying at this cute little cottage. This was our first vacation as a family with our 2 month old and our 1.5 year old. The beach is a very short walk and the aquarium is a 5 minute drive. The house had everything we needed and was very clean.

After our brief stay at the Tiki House, we followed up with Wendi about the experience. It was very comfortable and an unbeatable location. It’s also very clear how attentive and caring Wendi is about the experience and I recommend this to anyone!

We enjoyed our stay. THe location is great! Quick walk to the beach which is so helpful for bathroom breaks and snack runs! House was comfortable and the shed has lots of goodies that we forgot!

This is a very small cut little hut , had some minor issues with entry to place as the lock box and door are very old not the most useable , however the owner responded quickly with some of the issues and did claim they are updating the door and process which is absolutely needed at this point , the beds could definitely use new mattresses as they are very worn and uncomfortable but it is the perfect walking distance from the beach and my kids had a blast , the kitchen could use some more cookware since there is no dishwasher we had to constantly wash dishes to have enough and couldn’t find any big mixing bowels . It left us with a nice beach stay , but could use some minor updates and the AC is very loud and outdated as well and doesn’t hit the bedrooms , they had box fans in each room but didn’t keep it cooled down when sleeping . It is a cozy simple place to have a beach trip we spend 95 percent of our time at the beach when we come and we do not go out to eat the grill available was very old as well we went and got a portable one and left it there because we couldn’t fit it to come back home ! But my daughter loved the rainbow house and we will never forget our stay at the cute tiki cottage

We enjoyed our stay at the Tiki cottage! The beach was so close! The cute little house was stocked with all the essentials. We enjoyed the 0.2 mile walk to ice cream and the arcade. It is a family friendly, comfy spot to relax.

My husband and I arrived 45 minutes early and was greeted by the caretaker who was friendly and allowed us to go in. He let us know he'd be back and cut the grass but didn't return, this is the only reason I gave a 4 star for cleanliness.The inside was very clean, cozy and accommodating. This was our 1st stay at Kure. The beach and surroundings were beautiful! We also very much appreciated the additional information about the surroundings while we stayed at the Tiki Cottage. Over all we loved it and we hope to stay again!

The cottage is adorable, comfortable, private. Immediately we felt at home and wished we wouldnt have to leave. The only indication that a pet ever stayed at this cottage was a clean courtesy dog bowl. We enjoyed the quick and easy walk to the beach & fishing pier. The beach goes on & on, with plenty of room to enjoy nature. It was a quick drive to aquarium, every place we went was easy to find. We enjoyed the larger restaurants as well as the small family-owned eateries who offered delicious surprises. Wendi the owner is genuine, kind, & accommodating, an awesome person. Another important thing to know - the beds are so comfortable. It was the best sleep we had in years. I'm sincerely grateful to Wendi for a lovely stay at her cottage & the memories created.

A quintessential beach cottage! I you want a relaxing place to hang out at the beach this is it! Walking is the only transportation you need to the water and restaurants but yet the street is wonderfully quiet. We spent Thanksgiving there and were very thankful for such a spot that allowed our pup to join the fun!

I highly recommend this adorable, clean, sweet cottage near the beach. Communication with the owner was outstanding; we were arriving when the hurricane had hit Florida, so there was a forecast of rain for one of the three days we had booked. The owner reached out to offer rescheduling or a late checkout, and was genuinely interested in making sure we had a wonderful trip. The cottage is clean and has everything one needs for a simple and peaceful vacation. It is so close to the fishing pier and beach access, but feels incredibly private. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the Tiki Hut on Kure Beach; stay here! You will absolutely enjoy your stay!

We enjoyed our stay at the cute cottage. It was our dogs first beach trip so we had a lot of fun despite the hurricane. The owner was gracious enough to offer a change of dates but we stuck the weather out. Great communication and location. Would stay again!

We stayed 5 nights and it was great!! Full size kitchen so we did not have to eat out and washer and dryer so I did not have to do laundry when I got home!!

Ideal location, one block from the beach. We went in September, so the weather was lovely and no crowds! The cottage is cozy and modest but very comfortable with everything you need. Love that the owner allows dogs! We had a great time.

There were only two issues that were a negative for us. Grass was too high for our dogs. It was cut the day before we left to come home. The pull out mattress on the couch was very nasty and should be replaced. Everything else was great!

It was in a perfect location. We walked the kids to the beach a few times a day. Did a pirates cruise ands went to the arboretum and did a scavenger hunt with the kids. We saw fireworks and listened to music on the beach. The cottage was cute and cozy. We will definitely stay again!

We came down for a few days before we moved my son into UNCW. The cottage was very clean and had what we needed for a few days. The host was very helpful as well. It was a great family getaway.

This property is so convenient to the beach area - we utilized the provided beach chairs, umbrella and cart to enjoy the beach, which was a very short stroll away. The kitchen was fully stocked. The space is small but optimized for efficiency. This is a great home base to use to explore the area.

This is small bungalow/cottage located a block and a half from public beach access and around the corner from the Kure Beach pier. The home is stocked with plenty of silverware, pots pans, bowls etc. Previous occupants have left sugar, coffee filters, coffee, seasonings etc., check in before you go shopping! Beds were comfortable, plenty of sheets and towels. My only complaint was two chairs in the living area are not comfortable and I alerted Wendi. We would stay here again 😎🏖.

We used it as a home base to explore the coastline of southern South Carolina. We did seven different beaches in 9 days, and returned tired and sunburned every night to this comfortable paradise.
There was not one thing we needed that we didn't find - beach chairs, towels, an umbrella, coolers for the beach. Plenty of small kitchen appliances, dinner ware, bowls, trays and gadgets for cooking and snacking. Lots of thick bath towels and extra blankets in case you are cold. Simple check in and check out, and immediate response from the owner if something was amiss.
We will be returning and encourage you to check it out for a great time!
