L accueil

the people are amazing so friendly, we had such a lovely time
if you want an excursion like quad biking you need to book in advance which we were unaware of

We got a good deal of price staying in Lampoul and I think the stay was nice. There are other places to stay in Lampoul but I was really just looking for one experience to share with my mother.
For me was a very nice stay - I was already expecting a very basic breakfast and dinner, so it is fine!!
I know from other reviews that the light in the room was really not good, but I did expect at least a bit of light. In our room I could hardly see my bed and backpack in the night.
Maybe it was in the day of our stay but I did not felt a warm welcome to the camp, as I had in other experiences in Morocco (but could be just in the day of our stay as other reviews are really good)
The show was good but I would suggest to have maybe one introduction of musicians, It is nice to know where are they from and what kind of music was played.

The location was lovely
It looked very tiered and tatty

great stayover with the right activities. we took an hour quad drive to the beach and this is possibly the most beautifull thing we did during our two week visit of Senegal! also suprisingly they had wifi! lastly, they gave us a free upgrade as it was not that busy.
breakfast was quite simple

Staying in the tents was awesome. Great outdoor shower. The staff was super nice, they let me train with them in their DIY outdoor gym.
They have tours on quads and camels. It's quiet and peaceful. On the evening musicians come to give a traditional drumming show.
Besides the activities provided, there is not much to do there.
They used to have FAT bikes for bike tours in the desert, but they were broken.
I don't think it's a problem given the circumstances, but you can only charge your phone in the main tent (powered by solar panels, so no fast charging). There is no light in the tent, only a very weak electric candle.

the calm, it is right place to take a break from work stress
no electricity to charge phone in your room, more light

Nice rooms, great location, staff is nice, overall great stay!
Activities are quite expensive (for instance compared to Egypt or Jordan where there are lot more dunes) We stayed 2 nights, it's possible to walk down to the beach then to the Fishing village nearby, but it's a long walk in the Sun.

Beautiful landscapes, nice tents and facilities. Some excellent activities, camel ride, dune walking.
Cleanliness ok, but frequent sand should translate into frequent brooming.
The breakfast was fair. Could be fresher and with more choice. The coffee was poor.
Dune surfing is great, but not if the two surfboards are falling apart.
This lodge could be outstanding excellent, with just a few upgrades: Surfboards, food.

I went with my teen son and we had a wonderful trip. We went sand sledging, camel ride and Quad biking. So enough for us to do. But if you want to go for a very peaceful, remote stay. It's perfect for that too. Very peaceful and tranquil. The evening meal was a filling delicious Senegalese meal. There is a bar too. The rooms/tents are comfortable and the shower was very refreshing! Senegalese evening entertainment around a fire was a perfect ending to a lovely day. Early and late check in makes it even more relaxed. The staff are all friendly and made the stay perfect!
Nothing that I didn't like. But just to be aware that breakfast is basic. (bread jam ) Advise to take snacks, fruit and water with you. And a torch. (It's sooo dark in the desert which is amazing.. Look up at the sky!)
If you have your own body/boogie board bring it with you for sledging.
Camel ride is cheap. Quads aren't but we didn't mind paying g as it was really fun! Enjoy!!

really cool location in the dunes
very little upkeep. tables dirty and unwashed linens. aging lounge furniture. sagging tents. no hit water in shower. staff not really bothered with cleaning up.

The tents in which we stayed were fine with beds that were decent. Also a separate bathroom-like annex to the tent with a toilet and shower. This was outdoors with a wall around it but no roof (not really needed).
Breakfast and diner were included which makes sense because there are no other options really. The food was a bit basic but fine
The desert location was a bit of a deception for us. Yes you are some 15 minutes away from the main road in a sandy environment but not a real desert that we had expected (like in Jordan or Dubai etc)

Desert spirit not to be missed, but most or all camps will close soon in Lompoel desert end of 2023 due to mining industry in the desert. Nice evening life music !

The place is really beautiful, as well as the tents, dinner and the live music in the evening.
I was not a fan of plastic cups for the desert, and i think there could be something a bit better to eat for breakfast

The tent is nice and cosy, and the area for drinks and food and breakfast, as well as music in the evening, is cool too.
The beds are super comfortable!
Breakfast was not so good considering the price for the room I expected something a little better.

lovely lodge in a beautiful setting, very nice and helpful staff, super quiet and relaxing atmosphere.
the lodge offers trips to the nearby beautiful beach by 4x4 or bigger car. it’s definitely worth the trip (4km) but rather on the pricey side. it’s possible go walk, though.

Great location, nice and organised staff, decent food, day and night scenery are beautiful. We stayed 2 nights which made for a super perfect relaxing weekend. Went for a night walk on the dunes to watch the sky it is spectacular. Loved the outdoor private shower/toilet. They pick you up and drive you back to the parking in Lompoul village. No electricity in the bedrooms but you can charge your phone in the main tent (no hot water in showers). Good enough phone/data reception (for emails). Bring a book and enjoy relaxing.
Mattress very uncomfortable, expensive quad tour, poor equipment for dune surfing.

The breakfast was terrible. Bread was hard
