Located in Cowes, this lovely house for $495 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. Located in the highly sought after area east of Cowes, McLardy Island Retreat is a perfect mix of comfort and luxury situated in a relaxed court setting. Situated just 400m from Cowes front beach and walking distance to the tennis courts, golf club, football oval, lovers walk, skate park and main street of Cowes, you can leave your car at home and relax into true island time. The home is situated over 3 levels with beautiful raked ceilings and natural light. It has two air conditioners to keep you cool during the hotter months and a cosy Coonara gas log heater for winter. With five bedrooms, this home can comfortably fit up to 4 couples, with an additional bunk room and 2 single beds. There are two separate living areas, each with its own flat screen TV and Blu-Ray player and another smaller sitting room downstairs. Free WiFi is also available for our guests Keep the kids entertained with Play Station 3 and Wii consoles (limited games supplied) as well as a table tennis table, pool table and 2 bikes and boogie boards for your convenience. A large selection of DVD's for both the adults and kids are supplied for your entertainment. There is an partially covered outdoor dining area and barbeque for those warm summer nights. All bed linen and bath towels are provided for up to 12 guests. Bed Configurations are as follows: - 3 x queen rooms (queen bed only) - 1 x double room (1 x double bed and 1 x single bed) - 1 x bunk room (1 single bunk set + separate single bed) The house has two bathrooms with the upstairs bathroom consisting of a full size bath, separate shower and double basins. A separate toilet is also located upstairs. The 2 downstairs bedrooms share another bathroom which has a shower and toilet A high chair is also available for young children Well behaved pets are welcome but are strictly not permitted on beds, couches or other furnishings. The double garage houses the small pool table plus room for one car. The pool table can be easily moved to accommodate two cars and there is plenty of onsite parking in the drive way Strictly no schoolies groups or applicants under 21. Large party groups are strictly prohibited and any contravention of these conditions will result in guests being asked to leave.

The perfect property for our family getaway. A room for each couple and beds to spare which would be perfect for future use as more grandchildren come. Close enough to the beach and the main street to walk but far enough to create the quiet haven feels. Highly recommend this property.

We had a magical and very relaxing Christmas at McLardy Island. It was just perfect for our family comprised of adults, teens, children and two dogs.
We all enjoyed ourselves immensely and there was something for everyone. Mark is a wonderful host and his communication is fabulous.

This was a beautiful house with plenty of space for our 6 adults & 4 children across 3 generations. It was great not having to worry about towels & bed linen as these were all thankfully provided. 5 McLardy Ct was light & airy with plenty of crockery, cutlery, utensils including plastic glasses, bowls & plates for the kids. Everyone was well catered for. The proximity to the shops and beach meant it only took 10 minutes to walk to the beach or supermarket. Great location! I highly recommend staying at this place. This is the second time that we’ve stayed at this lovely, spacious house. We loved the location and the kids and adults enjoyed the pool table and the table tennis table. Comfortable well appointed suitable for a family stay. Property has everything needed for younger and older teenagers especially garage setup with pool table and table tennis table lots of fun had by everyone. Overall a great place to stay.

Arrival by Lock Box key was easy.
No difficulty in establishing ourselves. Access to the sea and Restaurants was close, many items for entertaining the family, with ample TV's, Wii Games (very useful if weather, as it did for us, had its damp moments. Have no hesitation in recommending the venue..keep up the good work.
ONLY ONE SMALL MAINTENANCE ISSUE WITH THE UPSTAIRS TOILET SLIDING DOOR PROVING STIFF AND DIFFICULT TO OPEN, ESPECIALLY FOR THE 'LITTLE PEOPLE'. WHICH I AM SURE WILL BE ATTENDED TO

The house was lovely and plenty big enough for 2 families. Beautiful location , so close to everything. Everything you want is in this house. Board games and pool table were great. Fabulous host, We highly recommended this property. We will be returning.

A big house for my large family. Some small things need to be fixed I.e faulty power points in kitchen and lower bedroom and bathroom doors difficult to lock. Other than that house was in perfect location close to cafes and beach.

The host was excellent with his communication and the property was well looked after with plenty of thoughtful extras like the games and dvds. We had a great stay and would highly recommend. Only thing we found was because we had quiet a warm week it was very hot staying upstairs with no aircon. Other than that we had an awesome stay and location is excellent.

My family and my sister’s family stayed three nights in this property. This house is clean, comfortable, having everything we need. It’s very close to the beach and shop. We love the road at front of the house, it’s quiet and safety for kids to play ball at the front yard. We’ll come back this house if we come to Phillip Island again.

The house is in a great location in Cowes in close proximity to the shops and beach. The house is almost at the end of a quiet court which means it is very safe for young children to play / ride bikes in the court if they don't want to play in the back garden. The house is very well appointed and equipped and the rear deck is excellent for outdoor eating.

The property was beautiful and very clean. Very spacious and comfortable. Few minutes drive to shopping centre. Coles, woollies and Aldi. We had a great time at the Cowes beach, very clean and family friendly. The chocolate factory was a few minutes drive. Very conveniently located.
Owner Mark was very kind / helpful during the process and I would highly recommend staying at this property during your visit.

The location of the property was amazing, property was very clean, linen and towels provided which was an added bonus less to pack with us and we were worried about the no heating up stairs but let me tell you we had to turn the spilt system and the gas fire off because we got hot up thier

What a great property. Exactly as described if not better. Had everything you want for a weekend or even longer. Kitchen stocked well, lots of glasses, dinnerware, pots, pans and platters, great kitchen for entertaining, lots of people. Heating worked a treat, lots of beds and great bedding.
Doona's real warm in this very cold days. Great having the outdoors available and the pool table and table tennis. Lots of games and great to have Wifi and fox tel available, made life real easy. Mark was great to deal with and would definitely stay again. Thanks for a great weekend.

The property was lovely, it had absolutely everything we needed. We did not need to bring half the things we brought. Loved the Gas Heater kept the house so warm.

This is the second time we’ve stayed at this property and again it was the most beautiful time as a family. Mark is incredibly helpful and the house so perfect in size and the extras like the table tennis table were great for the kids.

I booked the house to take our family, 8 adults, & 4 kids under 5 and 2 dogs, away for 3 nights. Its in a great location, walking distance to shops & very close to beach. Perfect house for our family. The Pool & table tennis tables fantastic & the boogie boards were great for the kids.
Our communication with Mark was very good & he offered late check out.
BUT.....on entering the house the kitchen bench had dirty marks, the toaster on the bench had crumbs all on it, the fridge had someone's condiments in it & the shelves had food stuck on them, the kitchen table had a coffee cup mark. The upstairs bathroom had hair on the sink & toothpaste on the bench, the upstairs toilet had no toilet paper, the kitchen had no tea towels, & a cold cup of tea in the microwave and the tap mixers were dirty, one of the downstairs bedrooms had no pillow slips & towels supplied which i paid extra for linen. The main couch in the down stairs area is very grubby and with a 3 month old baby we couldn't put her on it. We used the BBQ but because of the old fat build up it caught fire, that we were able to control. I decided, rather than wreck our weekend away i would just give the place a clean. There was one or two sprays of a spray and wipe left & a dirty cloth dish cloth, there were some new sponges but more cleaning pots not wiping benches.
In saying all that we didn't let any of that upset us and we had a fantastic weekend in Philip Island.
If this house has been professionally cleaned, a new cleaner is needed if not you need one. Just disappointed that for the last two years we have been living with Covid & i paid good money to stay there it should be clean.

Great place to rent for large family.
Ideal property for our large family being only a few hundred metres from the beach and a kilometre from Main Street. Close to sports reserve and skate park. Property had everything needed to complement this home, both inside and out.

The house is in a great location, both walking distance to the beach and main shops. The host was very responsive and addressed issues immediately that we had with cleanliness of house.
The house would benefit from a coffee machine, air conditioning upstairs which can get warm on a hot day and a deep clean around furniture, rugs and the couch.
