I live locally and wanted to introduce my out of town friends to Portland. I choose to is property due to its close proximity to the Old Port and buzz of the city. Neighbors was quiet and house was comfortable. Host offered flexibility for check in and process was seamless. The only thing that was a bit inconvenient was finding parking, as there isn’t a designated spot. Overall, great experience.

The VRBO was really cute and clean and had comfortable beds. It was a very short walk to downtown and very quiet at night!

We enjoyed our visit to Portland. The apartment was comfortable and were able to walk to restaurants and shops.

We enjoyed being walkable to food and entertainment. Host was great in dealing with questions.

We stayed for 5 nights and it was the perfect location to downtown as we walked it everyday plus we drop to Acadia National Park, the White Mountains and back and forth from Boston airport. Would stay again. Thank you

Two friends and I stayed here for three nights as we were attending a Death Cab for Cutie/Postal Service concert in town. The size was perfect and the location is within walking distance of almost anything in town.

The place was clean and fairly well equipped. The beds were very hard as were the den sofa and chair making it hard to get good rest or relaxation. A bed side table would've been nice - instead there was a huge mirror. The closets could use lights, and the kitchen needs sharper knives and a paring knife. The kitchen doesn't have much empty counter space, so it's a challenge to prepare meals. Overall, we liked the area but wouldn't stay again due to uncomfortable furniture. If you like hard beds and seats, this place would be great for you.

Nice apartment for two friends visiting Portland. Quiet, clean and comfy. Jeff was a great host and very accommodating. In a neighborhood but with restaurants in walking distance.

What a cute place! It had everything that my husband and I needed for our getaway. Perfect walking distance to everywhere we wanted to go. Pots, pans and dishes were available for the nights we wanted to cook there. Communication with the owner was quick and the check in process was seamless. We had no issues parking on the street, but we were made aware to pay attention to the signs posted. We appreciate that advance notice!

I stayed here for a week while I was checking out Portland as a potential next home. The apartment was an easy walk to the downtown area and had a cozy feel. The neighbors were great people also.

This was a very clean unit. The kitchen was well appointed and had everything we needed to eat in. The host was readily available when we had questions, and friendly. Also the home had lots of comfortable room. It was close enough to town to walk to, but just far enough away to be really quiet. This was our first time in Portland, and we would stay in Jeff's house again. Thank you!

First of all, we were so well taken care of by Jeff....We had some scheduling challenges on the day of arrival and he was most gracious. This is a lovely space with unique, charming bedrooms and a well stocked kitchen. The entry process was smooth.
Street parking was generally easy (unless we came back late at night) and PLEASE WATCH the signs because apparently I can't count the number of Tuesdays in a month!! I was begrudgingly happy to support the fine city of Portland, ME.
The location is about a 15-20 minute walk to the downtown area (or a 7 minute drive). Overall, this was a GREAT stay.

Jeff met up with us at our arrival. Good sunlight for the front rooms. Downtown is a 20 minute walk.

This is a cozy apartment well situated to all of Portland’s offerings. Clean and spacious enough for two people to stay for more than week. Jeff was responsive and very helpful. A great place to stay if you don’t want to bother with a car. Everything is within walking distance.

Great location - walkable to most places of interest and is in a safe neighborhood - lots of folks out walking all the time and kids playing. It's an older area of town. The property is in a large, old duplex that has been turned into multiple apartments. It's cute inside the unit, met all of our needs and was as described. We arrived during a heat wave, but the window units worked just fine to keep us cool. A heads up on a couple of things - apt entry is on 2nd floor and is two stories once inside (i.e. lots of stairs - so be prepared if anyone has mobility issues in your party), there were no washcloths (only relevant to ppl who still use them) and a couple of normal things needed attention. I've alerted the owner who has been responsive about things throughout the process. We'd stay again.

Nice place in portland to accommodate two-four people. Only thing that was strange was the only bathroom was downstairs off the kitchen completely away from the bedrooms. We managed just fine and enjoyed our weekend in portland!

The property was great and designed beautifully. We appreciated that it was stocked with necessities because we cooked on some days. Parking was described accurately and we didn’t have trouble finding spaces. It was welcoming and great to come back to after a day of exploring.

This unit is one of the best we've stayed in. The pictures really don't do it justice. Check in/out prices is a piece of cake. It's really unfortunate just how bad the parking situation was. If you get back after 8pm you'll be walking quite a ways, but to be clear, Portland is a walking city anyways so just be ready!

It was such a lovely and comfortable place. Just charming and so walkable to everywhere we wanted to go; which was amazing and made us us feel part of the community. We felt right at home from the minute we walked in the door …..and the beds were so cozy. Enjoyed having tv to watch the basketball game ☺️

Dad & Daughter run away took us to Portland this year. Knew we wanted to stay in the West End, and Spring Street looked like a great spot.
First, the owner, Jeff, was responsive, accomodating, and very efficient.
The apartment is one of several units in an older house,( as are many properties in the West End). The photos on the VRBO site are extremely accurate and true. There is a charm about this property that cannot be found in newer accomodations.
The unit was sparkling clean and well equipped, including kitchen items should one desire to cook in.
The bedrooms are spacious and bright. The bathroom being on the first level away from the bedrooms may be an issue if one is up often during the night, but Jeff is very upfront about that.
The location was perfect for us; easy walk to coffee houses, restaurants, and neighborhood markets.
A nice 20-25 minute walk to Old Port or the Terminal and most of the downtown restaurants & shopping.
If/when travels take us back to Portland, we will check availability here befire anywhere else.

This place met all our comfort needs. It also positioned us perfectly so we could walk Portland and see everything we wanted to see. The place was clean & the beds were comfortable. Having to go downstairs to reach the bathroom was not an issue. The place in on a beautiful street and restaurants and shopping are blocks away. We are looking forward to another stay at this place mid September to mid October.

Thanksgiving Get Away
This was a great place to stay to spend Thanksgiving and do a bit of Christmas shopping. Close to Freeport Outlets, Portland shopping district, and on the way home stops in Ogunquit and Kittery finish the Christmas shopping trip north. The place itself was comfortable and spacious enough for the 3 of us. The kitchen was small but I still managed to make a Thanksgiving dinner. Only a couple of quirking things - 1. kitchen faucet handle came off in my hand, hopefully, it will be fixed for the next visitor 2. the shower faucet the hot is cold and the cold is hot 3. no washcloths
We had a great time and enjoyed our stay!

My wife and I recently stayed here for a weekend trip to Portland. Cannot say enough great things about Portland. Amazing beer/food scene here.
The property suited us well. Quick walks/cheap rides to all the hotspots. Very clean place. Easy access in and out. It’s a shared building space so you have neighbors. Only annoying thing was the bathroom being on a separate floor as the bedrooms. Other than that, couldn’t have been happier with our selection.

Very clean, spacious, and well-appointed unit. Plenty of space to relax in but also in an excellent area of town, the West End. Short walk to restaurants, markets, and even a playground. Also just a brief trek to the Old Port area. Having the bedrooms on the second level provides a lot of space and plenty of storage if needed. Kitchen was well-stocked as well. Looking forward to staying here again when visiting family.
