The Portland and Acadia National Parks are each a one hour and 30 minute drive. Canada is only three hours to the north. The Port Clyde General Store, where you can get Lobster Benedict for breakfast, is a brief, beautiful, five minute drive. Kayak rentals can be had there too. The East Wind Inn is close by and offers a delicious lobster dinner. Among the many lighthouses is the famous Marshall Point Light, backdrop in the movie "Forrest Gump."
