Situated in Minlaton, this charming house for $163 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. THE DWICKE is a lovely 4 bedroom holiday home that accommodates up to 8 guests and is only a short walk to the beach. Open plan kitchen with microwave and dishwasher, dining with reverse cycle air-conditioning, lounge with TV/DVD. Main bedroom has an ensuite with vanity, walk in shower and w/c. Main bathroom with vanity, walk in shower, bath and separate w/c. Covered outdoor area, weber Q gas BBQ and outdoor setting, fully fenced back yard, plenty of room for parking and the boat. Bed configuration - bed 1 - queen, bed 2 - double, bed 3 - single, bed 4 - tri-bunk (double on bottom, single on top). Pillows and quilts are provided, you will need to bring your own linen - pillow cases, top/bottom sheets, towels/bath mat and tea towels. No washing machine. Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: 1. The overall cleanliness of the house was subpar. -The house absolutely stunk of rotten food and dog when we arrived; which is extreme considering the cleaner had just left.-The cutlery drawers had enough food crumbs and dust in there to feed a family of mice for a year and probably cockroaches as well.-There was thick black hair (possibly dog hair) on the main bed mattress protector (clearly unwashed). The double bed in the 4 sleeper room also had a dirty (stain) mattress protector.-White dog hair was in some corners, door jams (as well as dirt and dead flies) and window jams.- I cleaned out rotten food from the bottom of the dishwasher.-All glass (windows and shower) had smudges and finger prints. -There was grime and build up in bathroom floor corners.-The couches and cushions were grimy and stank.2. Yard was unmaintained, with very long back grass. Rendering it unuseable for my children for fear of snakes. We only saw a snake in the scrub between the house and the beach but it is very inviting to a snake to live in gras as long as it is.3. The washing machine had no water delivery, with no water pipes connected or even provided. This was a huge problem for our stay as we have children and needed to wash and dry clothes daily.4. The BBQ was too small to use for a house of its capacity and was dirty when we even looked at it. In your email you ask for it to be moved outside and then placed back inside.. however we found it outside and didn't use it so we left it as is. Our plans of easy BBQ dinners every night were ruined and we had to cook inside. Cooking inside was difficult when the only provided frying pan was nearly a heart shape it was THAT warped. It clearly stuck to everything and again wasn't enough to cook for 6 people.Overall the house was not worth the money we paid to stay there.The above was emailed to Escapia 8-1-24.

Property was in the perfect location and room layout was great. However back lawn was very long, hadn't been mown in a while. Lights in the kitchen didn't work, no lighting out the side of the house for when you arrive home at night. Bathrooms not clean, no freezer space in the fridge. **Suitable for dogs. Would stay again as it was a great location, just a few easy fix ups needed.

I was looking forward to staying at this property but there are basic maintenance issues that need to be addressed. It is disheartening that these have been stated in previous reviews 2+ years ago and not addressed at all: - light fittings missing or hanging down - downlights not working and lamps missing globes - listing says no washing machine, but there is one... that isn't connected to the water? Why have it there then? - ants EVERYWHERE in the house - despite the house being "clean" - towel rails in both bathrooms coming out of studs - in disrepair - I do not know how you have blunt table knives that are not butter knives, but you do! - beds that aren't the bunk beds sagging/old - photos are not accurate - half of the cupboards in the kitchen are locked and cannot be used for storage The location is great and the playground across the road is a perfect location - you can watch your kids while they play. Unfortunately it doesn't match the description or photos well at all. Frustrating.

Lovely large house. Comfortable for 3 adults & 4 children. 2 dogs had a wonderful holiday. Great location opposite the playground & close to the beach. Safe and friendly town. A fabulous holiday. A few problems which I listed on a piece of paper which I left in the kitchen. I e. No suitable fry pans, no pizza trays, wash machine didn’t work, more double adapters needed, some lights didn’t work. Easy to fix.

We stayed at “The Dwicke” for out first trip away since having our second baby in December, along with our toddler and our dog this was a great house for all of us! Lots of room to spread out and play both inside and outside. A short drive to a few beaches that have 4wd access where we set up both days and relaxed in the sun, coming back to a spacious house with aircon was bliss! The bbq was a huge bonus too and the fully fenced backyard was perfect for our 1year old pup to run around in with shade for her to stay out of the sun in the hotter hours of the day.

We enjoyed our stay - the house really suited our needs of adults, young kids and dogs! Never felt over crowded and all facilities really worked well. You wouldn’t let your kids run around the backyard, but, there is a park across the road. My one suggestion would be door mats for the front and back. We are already discussing staying there again as we have friends / family in nearby Warooka.

This was a gorgeous little house that has all you need for a comfortable stay. Loved the layout of the house and sleeping arrangement. Plenty of room for everyone. The ensuite was a bonus and the large back yard for our dog was so fantastic. There was even a pet bed in the property and many extras for everyone. Games, books, DVDs and a park across the road. The street was nice and quiet off the main road and the birdlife in the mornings was a pleasure to wake up to. Close enough to the beach and a short drive away from other popular spots in the area. Will definitely be back soon.

The house is basic and serves it purpose as a convenient location close to the beach. However, the BBQ was too small, there were no usable kitchen knives or vegetable peelers (sounds petty but they’re kinda essential when trying to cater for big groups- especially when there are no nearby restaurants etc!) Bedrooms got very stuffy due to no A/C anywhere but the main living space. The sprinklers in the back garden used septic grey water making it an unusable area for the kids to play or us to dine in! There is a lovely playground opposite the house which was perfect for the kids. We enjoyed our time in the area. Would recommend a visit to the Watsacowie brewery!
