About this house rental
Located in Kingsland, this charming house for $431 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. Relax amidst the peaceful setting and gorgeous 100 foot waterfront at Calm Water Cove Lakehouse situated in a quiet, no-wake cove just off the Colorado arm with easy access to the Llano arm and main body of Lake LBJ. Great place to getaway with family and friends to enjoy kayaking, SUP, swimming, boating, fishing and amazing sunsets from the upstairs & downstairs patios. 3 bedroom home with 100 feet of waterfront on a calm, quiet cove overlooking Lake LBJ. Near the historic (inactive) train trestle bridge to the main body of Lake LBJ. The large cove right off the dock is great for swimming (3-5 feet deep around dock and no wake). Kayaks, and paddle board available upon request. Boat and jet ski rentals available right around the corner. Bring your own boat (or rent one) - there is plenty of room to tie-off on either side of the dock with a large no-wake cove. Contact owner to inquire about reserving a covered slip with boat lift during your stay (based on availability; additional fee would be required). Located on a quiet road in a private community, while being only a few minutes drive to the center of Kingsland for groceries and restaurants. Large covered patio upstairs with amazing views of the water and a large covered patio with outdoor living downstairs including BBQ and and access to yard and water. Outdoor amenities include: *Expansive outdoor covered living with multiple seating, dining and lounge areas *Large covered dock with guest slip (check for availability and fees) and jet ski ramp to park the water toys during your stay * Perfect location for swimming, fishing, kayaking and stand up paddle boarding on the calm smooth waters of the no-wake cove * Easy access to Colorado arm of Lake LBJ for great boating and wake boarding * Excellent fishing throughout Lake LBJ including largemouth bass, white bass, crappie, bluegill and catfish. * Three one-person kayaks, stand up paddle board, paddles and life vests - all available to rent throughout your stay for only $100. * Beautiful yard with 100 feet of waterfront * Two levels of patios with amazing cove views * Parking in driveway for four vehicles with additional parking across the street for two vehicles (or vehicle with trailer). Indoor amenities include: * Spacious open floor plan (living, dining, kitchen) all overlooking the lake. * 55 inch HDTV with DIRECTV and Atari game console in family room * Updated kitchen with granite counters, Keurig coffee maker. * Seating for 6 adults at dining room table plus 4 additional seats at breakfast bar. * Master suite with king bed and 50" HDTV. * Second bedroom with bunk beds (twin over double). * Downstairs game/bunk room features two single bunk beds (sleeps 4), DIRECTV, darts and giant Jenga blocks. Ideal for families. No large groups or parties allowed. Minimum age of 25 required to book. Great year-round activities: Spring: the wildflowers will be blooming, fish will be spawning (fantastic fishing beginning in late February, early March) and the lakes won't be crowded! Summer: warm water, fantastic sunsets, lots of water activities (boating, swimming, fishing, kayaking to name a few) Fall: usually warm temps through November and a great time to be on or around the lake, watch football, golf on one of the many nearby courses Winter: bring the family together around the holidays, enjoy the many fantastic amenities around the lake including wineries (Perisso's is excellent and only 5-10 minutes away), Enchanted Rock and superb Texas BBQ at Cooper's Open Pit in Llano. Every season offers something wonderful out at the lake and we invite you to come experience it for yourself!

We have stayed here in the fall several times and always wish we could stay longer! Great space, just as advertised. Communication with the hosts is easy and timely. Plenty of activities to enjoy on and off the water, depending on the weather and your mood. An overall great retreat!

I cannot say enough good things about this property! Our family was able to rest and rejuvenate in this beautifully appointed lake house. The surroundings were just what we needed and the cove was perfect for swimming, kayaking and paddle boarding. We can’t wait for our next trip! The owners were wonderful to work with, too.

We enjoyed staying at the house very much. The outdoor spaces were great! The kids played ping pong daily and also enjoyed the kayaks. We rented a boat for 2 days with no problems at all. The marina was very close by. We will definitely visit again!

We had a great stay at this property with a total of 10 guests ranging in age from 13 to 50. The property was able to accommodate our group perfectly. The house was well stocked with the essentials in the kitchen with plenty of dishes, cooking appliances, utensils, you name it. We cooked all meals but one at the house. The owner was very accommodating with our request to use their boat lift which was perfect for our 22’ wake surfing boat. When we arrived at the property, the kids decided that they wanted to rent the SUP board and canos which Mike was quick to respond to our request. The kids had a blast on the quiet cove - the water is very calm with little boat traffic. We all agreed that we would definitely like to come back to this house for another stay in the future.

Very peaceful and fun for our extended family, 2 large patios, 2 dinning areas, inside and outside, ping pong, corn hole, we added the kayaks/paddle board and close to pick up groceries.

Wonderful stay
We stayed 2 weeks at this property. It was very clean upon arrival, had everything we needed to cook, clean, maintain, and play. The no-wake cove is perfect for floating/relaxing, far enough away from the action on the main channel, yet close enough to get back into the mix when ready. Proximity to the HEB and local coffee shops made it all the better. Highly recommend this rental.

Perfect lake house getaway!
We took the grandparents and two teens with us on the stay. The lake house is located in a no wake cove which made it very enjoyable for paddle boarding and kayaking for kids (all of which owner supplied). House was very comfortable for the six of house, but it would definitely accommodate more. It was super clean, well decorated, and made you feel right at home. The owner has plenty of games, kayaks, and SUP to keep the kids busy. I highly recommend!

We enjoyed our few days of waterfront living. The cove was quiet and perfect for kayaking. We enjoyed the ping pong table and hanging out outside on the patio and deck. The house was clean and had all the amenities we needed for a good mini vacation! Would stay again!

This was one of our best lake trips. The house was perfect. Clean, well maintained, comfortable, with great cove off main lake. They even have tons of games when there would be brief periods of rain. The deck upstairs gets a perfect breeze so you can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner outside. The kitchen has EVERYTHING (even tooth picks :)). We were able to save a lot of money by by cooking at the house and then eating out one night at the house where the Texas Chainsaw Massacre was filmed! This was a perfect place to make some great memories! Will book again for sure!

Property and amenities were great. The house was well equipped and nicely appointed. The only thing that kept it from 5 stars was cobwebs on outside furniture and cobwebs between the windows and screens. It could have used a quick hose down between guests. That being said, we would come and do it again.

Relaxing getaway
We had the best stay! Ping pong, BBQ’s, s’mores, sun bathing, reading, spike ball, kayaking, SUP and floating were all plentiful. There’s a little bridge close by that our boys jumped from several times and the videos were awesome! There is so much outdoor seating, both on the upstairs deck and the lower ‘carport’ that is really a huge covered patio. The house is so well equipped...I always travel with lots of my own kitchen and cooking items, and I never unpacked them. Master bed is very comfortable. I would stay again, many times over!
