About this house rental

Welcome to my place. First, I have two restrictions; I don’t allow pets (but I don’t have any myself) and I am NOT 420 friendly! (See Check-out instructions below) Your stay would be in the entire 980 sq ft private garden level of my home. I live upstairs. We share the front door entrance and your unit is downstairs behind the door with the Welcome sign. It is completely private and has a lock. I am very family-friendly. We are perfect for business travelers as well. I have 2 Pack N Plays and a high chair, child-proof door knobs for the baby so you don't have to bring yours. The decor is cozy, warm and earthy, like getting a taste of the Colorado mountains indoors. Two TV's w/ basic cable (the bedroom TV is also a Smart TV) & fast WiFi. Fully equipped small size kitchen with mini fridge, microwave and a Keurig with a variety of coffees. I am 20 minutes from downtown Denver & 20 minutes from the DIA airport. I am near many hospitals, a boating lake, and two malls. I have a beautiful park with a playground and indoor pools, including an awesome kiddie pool/slide, within 5 min. walking distance. Cherry Creek Reservoir is 10 min. away. Many, many more parks, lakes, streams and golf courses and other attractions within a few miles. I have 24 more 5-star reviews from previous listings, so just please inquire and I will provide them to you. I have elderly extras such as a bathtub grab bar and a shower seat. My house number is on the mailbox and over the garage. It is the only house with a gigantic Spruce tree in the front yard. Please park in driveway to unload, then park in the front of the house. Please do not park in front of the neighbor's house directly across the street; I want to be a considerate neighbor. I have a large backyard with patio furniture, toys and two decks; for morning coffee sipping on top or eating at the picnic table in the shade below. There is a gas grill with grilling utensils for you and even in rainy weather, as it is covered. I have a key-less, coded entry pad. There are two steps to the front door, then the unit is down 4 stairs behind the door with the Welcome sign! And please come and go as you like! I have outdoor sensor lights and I keep the hall lights on at night. There is plenty of parking on the wide tree-lined street in front of my house. Please do not cut across the front lawn but use the driveway and sidewalks to come and go! I share your laundry room which has a washer/dryer and free use of detergent, etc. If I need it at all, I will text/email and arrange the time with you and for sure knock first. Your private area can be locked. I do supply all the coffee/tea/hot chocolate you can drink for your whole stay and pretzels and popcorn for movie night. The water here is amazingly clean and tastes great so no 'need' to buy bottled water. There is only one thermostat upstairs in my unit though, unfortunately. Please let me know how you like your heat and AC and I will set it for your preferences. I want you to be very comfortable. I also have 2 air mattresses for larger groups so can accommodate 6 guests. I have a wood burning stove to keep you warm in the cold winter nights as long as there is no ban going on. **** Due to multiple forest fires in Colorado, there is a ban going on currently *** For Check-out, please put all used towels and sheets (not comforters) in the laundry room and wash all dishes. Just leave them to dry on the dish drying rack. We will handle the trash so no need to take that out. Thank you.

What a delightful, clean and hospitable host. She thought of all the little details and amenities, including coffee and tea, pastries, fresh fruit, and a great location. Definitely a return booking on our next trip to Denver.

I found the description accurate for the space, everything was easy. We were staying for our daughter to go to three weeks of rehabilitative therapy, so we were just working through that each day and didnt have any issues. Our three year old loved the muffins!

Our stay at this supposed Vrbo was marred by a few problems. Here are a few pros and cons. Pros: Debbie is a nice person. Cons: - No private access to this "Vrbo". Vrbo properties are supposed to stand on their own with the entire space reserved for the customer. Here you will have to enter through HER front door and go downstairs to the basement. The only "lock" you have to safeguard your property and privacy is a bedroom lock on the basement door that can be easily forced or unlocked with a small screw driver. She deems it acceptable to knock and come use the washer and dryer if necessary so do not expect full privacy at all. - Noise. This was supposed to be a private Vrbo with limited noise in a quiet neighborhood. Instead we were greeted with loud conversation followed by pressure washing and work on the outside deck early on the second day that was present until we left. - Disgusting shower. The shower drain is terrible. Expect to shower in 2-3 inches of your own filth due to "foundation issues". It was a miserable experience for my entire family. No mention of this issue in the property description. - No independent control of thermostat. We had to request an increase in temperature. - You get a small kitchenette, not a full kitchen, so do not expect to store much on site. No full fridge. - Leaving through the front door often meant being detained for minutes to meet, greet, and exchange pleasantries. Not something you expect from a Vrbo.

Was not prepared to walk in someone’s house. Thought it would be a private entrance. Everything was very nice other than that.

Lovely stop over before my family’s trek further into the mountains. Never easy to pick a location when traveling with a toddler but our stay here was safe and entertaining for the kiddo. Would stay again!

We stayed at the property for a week and had a comfortable experience. The fridge is small, which is clearly listed, but it worked out well for us. Debbie answered questions very promptly. I would recommend this property.
