About this house rental
Located in George Town, this charming house for $411 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. This two storey BEACHFRONT home has a balcony overlooking the ocean and is a few steps to a beautiful white sand beach. Both bedrooms have king size beds and full en-suite bathrooms. Large fully equipped kitchen. Laundry room with full size washer & dryer. Large oceanview patio with table and chairs. Outfitted work area. High speed internet, wifi, monitor and wireless printer/scanner. Stand up paddle boards and beach equipment. The entire two story townhouse and patio with too many amenities to list is for your private use. The air conditioned townhouse is very large. It is set up with two large bedrooms each with an en-suite bath on the ground floor with the living space, kitchen, additional half bath and laundry room on the second floor. This allows you to take advantage of the sweeping ocean views from the private balcony off the living room. There is a roomy full kitchen with appliances (large and small) and all the essentials. Of course there is a blender for making the requisite frozen cocktails. There is a separate laundry room with full size washer and dryer for those sandy days at the beach. The entire home has dedicated high speed internet. The work space includes a monitor and printer/scanner. Be warned, you are not going to want to work with the beautiful view right out the window. Both bedrooms have a king size bed. The comfortable pull out sofa has a new memory foam mattress. The balcony with grill, table and chairs is a great spot to watch the boats sail by or an early morning sunrise. The house is located right on a beautiful white sand beach just steps from the front door. One of the top rated beaches in the world, Jolly Hall Beach, is just behind the house, no more than a five minute stroll along another beautiful beach. The main town, George Town is only a mile away. The famous fish fry shacks (including Shirley’s) are a short walk down the sidewalk (the only sidewalk I’ve ever seen in Great Exuma is between the resort and the fish fry). You simply cannot beat the location. Hop the water taxi to Stocking Island. Here you can visit the famous Chat n’Chill Beach Bar and Grill. Don’t miss the Sunday pig roast. The property is located within the Palm Bay Beach Club which is a group of about 80 privately owned villas. A separate company provides resort amenities within the club. You have full use of the common areas, such as the beach, but NOT the items provided by the separate company. This allows me to keep my costs down. The resort amenities that are NOT included are: 1. Shuttle to George Town. 2. Small Gym 3. Towel service: (I provide plenty of towels for your use and there is a full size washer/dryer in the villa.) 4. Business centre: (The villa has high speed internet, monitor and printer/scanner that can be used wirelessly by computer or mobile device.) 5. Pool/beach chairs: (I provide portable beach and lounge chairs for your person use. There are 6 lounge chairs and beach chairs. They fold up so can also be taken to the beach or the other beaches you will want to explore.) 6. Kayaks, stand up paddle boards, etc.: (The villa has two stand up paddle boards for your private use. There are also seats that can be attached so that they can be used like kayaks.) 7. Pool. (The beach is right outside the door!)

Could not even believe the amenities included and the responsiveness of our host. Over the top incredible. We won't stay anywhere else in Exuma! This was our 4th trip and sure, of it's your first trip to Exuma, you will be thrilled about everything. However, it was almost like that first trip again when we walked up to the front and it was all set up for us with chairs and a little carpet and the paddle boards. Then we saw the beach chairs, the wagon, the life vests, even some fishing gear all ready for us!
The house manager, Wayne, even came by to greet us and offer hints to elevate our trip. Extensive notes on beaches and restaurants were in the binder. The ice maker works SO well! Alexa played music for us all week, and the balcony was a perfect place for breakfast or a nighttime wind-down.

It is more remote than other locations. Walking to the closest grocery seemed a little treacherous. We didn’t rent a car but there were 3-4 restaurants within walking distance. The local food is awesome. We couldn’t use the pool but the beach and water toys were great! You must walk over to Jolly Beach!

The unit was exactly as advertised. Spacious, new appliances, well stocked. Very nice view from balcony and great location for town and the airport. Beach right out the door is great for wading and we used the kayak and walked to Jolly Hall beach every day for excercise but really beach out front is just as nice. I would recommend and would go again.

We loved it!!! Splash restaurant was definitely our go to spot for food and drinks.
Our favorites were a day boating trip to the swimming pigs and iguanas and snorkeling with Robert Island Adventures.
We also loved turtle beach nearby where we got to see and pet some turtles. Our other favorite beach was Tropic of Cancer. Chat’n Chill at Stocking Island was also a great experience and kids got to pet the stingray’s there.
We enjoyed all the amenities that this place had to offer! It was perfect 👌

The provided portable beach chairs, cooler, towels, etc allowed us to have the best set up when traveling to different beaches all over the island. Sharon was an excellent communicator and worked with us on a couple of requests, giving us a flawless experience! Highly recommend!

The condo was spacious and had everything you needed. Clean and comfortable. The two paddle boards and beach chairs were a huge plus. Kitchen was well stocked with enough pots pans cups etc as if it were your own home.

The house was perfect for our family of 4. The location is great and easy to find. Sharon was very helpful and easy to contact. Jolly Hall beach was our favorite beach on the island and is only a 5 minute walk from the house. The beach setup is such that no matter where the wind is blowing from the beach in front of the house or Jolly Hall will be perfectly still. We made great use of the beach supplies - especially the paddle boards. The house was well stocked with dishwasher and laundry detergent. The fridge was very cold and the water from the filter tasted excellent - no need to buy bottled water.
We rented a car and drove to town often for groceries and to other beaches. Hoopers Bay consistently had sea turtles to swim with and is only a few minutes drive away. Exuma point beach is fun because it’s so shallow over a very large area and is about 30 minutes away.
We wolves our stay and would rent this house again in the future.

This was our second stay at the property and found it a great place to stay in paradise. The owner provided great info regarding the house, area activities and island. One of the amenities we really like is the house is full of beach toys, chairs, and kitchen accessories. The house was clean and well stock with beach towels and linen. The owner was attentive and very responsive to needs.
I will not hesitate to rebook for 2024!

I can’t tell you how much we enjoyed our stay in Exuma. The condo was the best prepared and outfitted Vrbo ever! The water and beach equipment were the best and everything, and then some, that you could need for your stay was stocked!

We loved Sharon's place! It's literally steps from the beach. Everyone was so friendly and Sharon was very informative about the area and what to do. This is a multi level unit with bedrooms on the lower floor and kitchen/living area upstairs. She has a ton of floats and other beach gear including paddle boards. I can not say enough about the property manager Wade and Janetta! They were so helpful and friendly.

My husband and I had a spectacular stay in this unit. We have stayed in other units at Hideaways and enjoyed the extra space in this unit. Everything was clean, well equipped and beds were very comfortable. Having the paddle boards in the unit was a very nice addition. You don’t have to worry about availability or the inconvenience of checking them out through the property, just grab and go. We really enjoyed exploring the waters on them.
The proximity to the ocean is the best and there are several showers located just as you leave the beach to rinse off. We have snorkeled many places around the world and love the coral and variety of sea life just steps away in Elizabeth Harbor. Our last day we swam with a turtle, small stingray and largest puffer fish that we’ve ever seen. Hideaways is very centrally located and you’ll find everything you need within a few minutes. Splash is a great place to grab a burger, but Shirley’s has some of the best food on the island and you can walk there too. Sharon was a great host and Wade was always available whenever we had any questions.

The property was super clean and spacious. It was perfect. Everything we could want was provided for us. The location was superb both for Splash restaurant at Hideaways and a short walk to Jolly Hall beach. We would not hesitate to stay there again and the owner was more than helpful at all times. Fabulous.

We would highly recommend staying at her Bahama home. And within walking distance is Augusta Bay, Exuma Resort, Smittys Groceries, Fish Fry and Frankie Bananas. She provides a very detailed information packet that will tell you where to go and what that place offers. We spent 32 days at Sharon’s home, that was well appointed and she provided beach towels, paddle boards/kayaks, snorkeling equipment for an entire family, the kitchen had dishes, glasses, silverware and of course her home offers a gorgeous view of the ocean. We would highly recommend staying at her Bahama home. And within walking distance is Augusta Bay, Exuma Resort, Smittys Groceries, Fish Fry and Frankie Bananas. She provides a very detailed information packet that will tell you where to go and what that place offers. If you’re planning a trip to Exuma Bahamas, stay here knowing that you have the time of your life!

Perfect Place...Perfect Location
This is a great house with all the amenities that you could ever want. Plenty of beach toys and chairs to enjoy while outside and away at other beaches. The one beach is right outside your door! The place was clean and neat with a full kitchen and mini office area if needed. Thanks to the owner who provided great information and suggestions about the area. She was prompt to respond to any questions before our arrival. Would definitely stay at this location again.

My wife and I stayed here for the first week of February 2022. Our daughter and grandson decided to cancel due to all the pandemic issues, but my wife and I decided to come anyway, glad we did. The place is huge, plenty of space for up to five people. The description of the property is very accurate. Don't worry about not being able to use the pool or other small amenities at Hideaways. Who cares about a pool when the beach is 50 feet from your door. Plenty of beach chairs, towels paddles boards etc. in the condo. A lot of small useful items like the two drapes on the patio to block out the morning sun-none of the other units have this feature. A book with very useful information about the island, including directions to some of the popular beaches and snorkeling spots. Trust me you will need the information, in either case the owner clearly thought out and provided a lot of useful information and features in this condo. Really anything you could possible need is included in the unit, full size washer and dryer etc. The on site restaurant/bar Splash is great, short walk, like under a minute. Make sure you walk to the left of the beach in front of the complex, keep going cross a small private road and you will come across a beach called Jolly Hall, the water is calm and beautiful, better than the beach in front of the complex-the owner provide that useful tip. Overall a great place to stay with plenty of space. You won't regret it!

The place is located inside a wonderful resort with and restaurant that makes tasty conch chowder and a offers a full menu. The only thing better would be if the guests had access to the amenities of the resort like the pool, kayaks and paddle boats. But the price reflects a discount compared to other like units and we managed fine without these items. We rented a car and went to numerous other beaches on the island, but didn’t bother to swim with the pigs. But I snorkeled at Stocking Island and ate at Chat & Chill. I saw the local turtle while snorkeling in front of the condo and took a short ride to Turtle Beach ( maybe the best places anywhere to see and swim with turtles) .
