Firefall Lodge - 2 miles from Yosemite National Park!
About this house rental
Located in Fish Camp, this lovely house for $811 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. Hello and welcome to the beautifully appointed Firefall Lodge at Yosemite National Park! We provide year-round lodging with convenient access to more fun than you can shake a stick at. And up here, you can shake a pretty big stick. When we say convenient, we mean it. We are located near everything. Okay, not everything. Crazy Horse Memorial is 1,457 miles away and if you’d like to visit South Dakota, we would certainly recommend different lodging. (Really, just ask us.) However, we are near everything you would want to do and see, in or around our wonderful 748,436 acres of Yosemite National Park. That’s a lot of park. In fact, that’s larger than the state of Rhode Island! So, you should expect a little travel time depending on your day’s adventure. Our continuing mission is to offer guests lodging with a level of comfort and convenience that will satisfy even the most distinctive traveler. From security night lighting to convenient charging ports to the softest blankets you’ve ever used, we’ve got you covered. We can be pretty particular when it comes to aesthetics, functionality and our guest's experience. We started Firefall Lodge from the ground up, which includes custom hand-crafted furniture, luxury mattresses for every suite and of course quality bedding. We've put time and thought into every choice and always from the guest’s perspective. We're continually improving with the goal of making this a better experience for our guests. We want to provide that “home away from home” type of comfort and convenience without it feeling like you’re in a stranger's home. We don’t like feeling as though we’re intruding in someone's personal space and we don’t think you should either. This is your time up here. Your vacation, your space, your place. Here are a few important notes, we want you to have all of the information you need to make the best choice...FOR YOU! SLEEPING AREAS: Firefall Lodge has four individually private guest quarters and a pull out sofa in the living room. If you plan to use the pull out sofa, let us know and it will be made up and ready for you. CHECK IN & CHECK OUT TIMES: Standard check in is 4P and check out is 11A. However, this is subject to change based on occupancy, especially during the peak Spring and Summer seasons. 5P check in and 10A check outs are often required. SEASONS & WEATHER: We enjoy all four season at Firefall Lodge. At 5000' ft of elevations, the weather can be unpredictable, especially in Spring and Winter. Make sure you stay up-to-date with the area forecast as you plan your trip. Snow is always possible in the early Spring, Fall and Winter. During snowy weather, the access to the Yosemite area may require snow chains. In rain and snow, the outdoor furniture and grill may not be available. The home has central heating to keep you cozy (the fireplace is not available for use) and ceiling fans keep you cool, bringing in the lovely mountain area breezes. Looking for peak Fall colors? The last week of October is sure to please. Planning for the holidays? We can point you in the right direction for events in the area. For safety reasons, Christmas trees (real or artificial) are prohibited. Let us know if you have questions about the seasons and what to expect! WINTER ADVISORY: During Winter storms, snowfall can be abundant. It is a beautiful and unique time to be in the mountains. But be advised, services are limited in this remote Sierra mountain community. Access to the neighborhood roads, driveway and home entrance could be limited and sometimes impassable depending on the amount of snowfall. So if making plans to visit in the Winter, be flexible, bring the proper clothes and get ready to shovel! It can be a great adventure when you are prepared. KITCHEN ITEMS: Firefall has just about everything you need to cook great meals. (Pots, pans, utensils, dishes, glassware, etc. ) If you think you need anything specific, just ask! Due to covid compliance and sanitary reasons, Firefall does not have any shared pantry items, including cooking oils, coffee and tea. We will provide some general spices, however the amount is not guaranteed. The town of Oakhurst has grocery stores with everything you need to stock up on your way! And the Fish Camp Market (within walking distance) has many standard items available. EXTRAS: Luxury sheets and a Pack & Play are available for an additional cost. If you are looking for something specific that you don't see in our listing or in the information sent to you after booking, just ask. If we can source it for you, we will! HOUSE RULES: Please review our terms and conditions before booking. We want to make sure you have all the information you need! Here are a few keys rules briefly summarized, details can be found in the House Rules section of this listing. Occupancy is 8 adults. No more that 8 people are allowed on the property at one time. No pets are allowed. No smoking inside the home. The Renter must be 30 years of age to book this Vacation Rental. Renter under the age of 30 must be disclosed and approved in advance by the property managers. Adults cannot rent the property on behalf of underage guests, no exception. YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK (Firefall Lodge is not inside the Park) We want to let you know that Yosemite National Park has instituted a temporary peak-hours reservation system for vehicles to enter Yosemite National Park between 5 a.m. and 4 p.m. on weekends from April 13 to June 30. Reservations are required 7 days a week from July 1 to August 16. Again on weekends only from August 17 to October 27. First, we recommend that you go to recreation.gov to seek a peak-hours reservation for the dates you plan to visit. All passes are good for three days from the start date and allow for one vehicle to enter the park. Second, if you are unable to get a peak-hours reservation for the dates of your stay, know that more passes will open up on recreation.gov seven days in advance of your planned trip dates. There is also a new half-day reservation option, which allows visitors to enter Yosemite afternoon each day. These passes also become available 7 days before your planned visit. Third, if you are still unable to get a peak-hours reservation seven days in advance, there are many other options for entering the park without a reservation. We are happy to send this information to you!

Beautiful lodge in the woods, very comfortable stay with plenty of spaces for the family to spread out. I was very impressed by the variety and quality of tools, containers, and appliances in the kitchen making home cooked meals a pleasure while on vacation. We enjoyed the variety of seating areas both inside and outside the lodge. The bathrooms were a bit dated, but very clean.

We had a wonderful stay at Brian and Erin's property! The place was clean, spacious, tucked back in the woods and they were very responsive with any requests we had. The house is only a short 2 mile drive to the park and there are a number of restaurants in the area to chose from. I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting to visit Yosemite or the surrounding area!

The property was just as described. Very well stocked with some basics. Lots of kitchen cookware and appliances. Beds were comfortable and family room furniture was very comfy as well! Lots of outside seating and very peaceful outdoors! Would highly recommend this property. Erin was very responsive to my many questions. It was so easy to drive to the south entrance of Yosemite.

Communication was very clear. Some appliances were not working but the owners were apologetic and we worked around that so that was not an issue. A little far from the Yosemite park (a little over an hour) but that’s how everything is

We took our family to Yosemite to celebrate our wedding anniversary and the Firefall Lodge was a perfect place to stay. The description of the property was perfect! We had 6 adults and 4 kids 4 years and under and the lodge was big enough to give everyone their own space if needed but yet we were all under one roof. The large dining table was big enough to fit our entire group and we were able to eat all meals together. Erin responded quickly to all of our needs or questions and made sure that our stay was perfect. We highly recommend the Firefall Lodge for your family vacation.

Our family celebrated dad’s eightieth birthday at Firefall Lodge for a week. The Lodge was comfortable, immaculate, and every bit a mountain retreat. After being in the park all day, it’s a perfect place to return to, cook together and enjoy music and movies in the evenings. We all loved our time there together.

We had a nice stay at this property during our elopement in Yosemite National Park. My husband and I stayed for 6 nights while our immediate family stayed with us for 3/4 nights.
Nice, clean house. But it kept getting hot, and the thermostat had an error on it for most of our trip, even though no one touched it. Lack of extra bedding (comforter, pillows) for my brother who was staying on the couch. Property manager said that these items had to be requested. Why list that there is a sleeper couch, if you do not go out of your way to provide items for it? We had to take items from our bed so that he could be comfortable.
Also, a lack of specific items provided. There was no salt, pepper, or other spices provided in the kitchen for us to use while cooking. We stayed at a different type of rental property next and were provided with these…. We were surprised at how few toilet paper rolls were provided. We had to instruct our families to bring extra upon their arrival. For how much we paid to stay here, that is rather ridiculous.
Great location and super close to Yosemite National Park, but would not stay here again.

Much needed reunion
The property was more beautiful than we even anticipated and served as the perfect rallying point for our post-lockdown reunion. Very close to the park, super convenient location. Tucked in enough to feel remote but not too far away from town if you need something last minute. 10/10 would stay again, and plan to! Great communication from hosts as well.

This property was beautiful and very clean. We loved the decor and the serene location. It's very close to the south gate of Yosemite and only 30 minutes from Bass Lake so we were able to enjoy both. The kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed and the appliances were very modern. The owners were very helpful and responded quickly to our needs. We would love to stay here again!

Great location to south entrance into Yosemite park, small local market store, horse back riding & luxury lodge across the street that has a great restaurant to eat at! All beds & bed linens are comfortable. Very serene setting in the back porch area with comfortable seating, great BBQ for grilling and big family table for dining if you want to eat outside. Well stocked kitchen, however, no spices or salt & pepper, so bring cooking spices if you want to make garlic bread or season your BBQ meats etc. Also, there was no keurig type coffee maker that takes a K-cup as stated in one of the kitchen lists. There’s only one regular drip style coffee maker. Other than that, it’s a beautiful cabin at the end of the road with ample parking.

Yosemite family trip
Had a great time. Great property. Close to Yosemite entrance. House had everything we needed. I’m sure Covid prevents the owners from offering the usual necessities for cooking such as left over spices and such from past guests but that was expected. Would definitely recommend this property if you visiting this area. Bass Lake was close and we had lunch at Duceys at the marina and listened to live music. Very relaxing afternoon.

Friends Rendezvous at Yosemite Firefall
Great place and location. Short drive into Yosemite; Mariposa Grove and Wawona right there. The lodge is clean and comfortable, perfect for our 3 couples group. Great kitchen and den area for gathering, game playing and visiting after a day’s activity. The property is private and the neighborhood very quiet, very relaxing to just walk around and smell the pines. Erin was very helpful and accommodating. A great trip for us!

Fantastic House for Yosemite Visit
Firefall Lodge was the perfect house for our family's visit to Yosemite. It is just a few miles from the southern entrance (near Mariposa Grove) and right across from Tenaya Lodge. The house was super clean, large, and nicely decorated. Comfortable beds and nice bath linens. Convenient parking in the driveway. The kids had fun playing around in the snow by the house. There are some fun games and access to streaming services for movies.
Do note that there are very few restaurants in the area. And internet access is super spotty in this area.
If you download the Firefall Lodge app, it has lots of great information about the house and the area. Very well done.
We had a great time. Thank you!

The house heater was excellent and warm the only issue we had living room was always cold because didn’t have A ventilator to keep it warm, they didn’t allow us to use the fireplace which it was the main point in the house.
