Amazing Gifft Hill Villa! Villa Mangaade is a delightful Caribbean home with panoramic water views of the Pillsbury Sound and St. Thomas. The evenings provide spectacular sunset views and at night you will enjoy the twinkling lights of St. Thomas. The villa, built by Tom Bertolino, features beautiful St. John stonework, dramatic vaulted ceilings and Schnell lighting. This spacious 3 bedroom / 3 bathroom villa is your idyllic island home. The villa has all the comforts of of home--AC in the great room and all bedrooms, WiFi, Cable TV in loft and at the pool bar, Smart TVs in all 3 bedrooms and safes for your valuables, washer and dryer, and hair dryers. The villa also has lovely island amenities such as outdoor showers and 7 different outdoor living spaces. The villa is rented for groups up to 6 people. The dramatic floor to ceiling sliding doors, that run across the entire width of the main floor, provide breathtaking water views. Open the doors to enjoy the soothing trade-winds and step onto the large balcony to have your morning coffee in the relaxing rocking chairs. The fully equipped and newly remodeled galley kitchen opens up to an outdoor dining patio with a convenient gas BBQ grill and table. The large lap pool, outdoor bar, private sun deck and hanging hammock chairs will make your day at the villa fun and memorable. You may even spot an iguana or two! Villa Mangaade, which means Mango Lane, is located on Gifft Hill, about 600 feet above sea level. It is a quick 7 minute drive to Cruz Bay town. We look forward to hosting you and sharing our piece of paradise! We love our island and are powered by the sun with a state of the art solar system! The local power company, WAPA, is extremely unreliable and brown outs and black outs happen daily. You will never lose power at Villa Mangaade!

Monic was amazing! She met us at the car rental place since this was our first time on the island and showed us around the villa. It was well stocked and spotless and a perfect get away retreat! We plan on visiting again and staying with them!

From the very beginning even before booking, Melissa was quick to respond to inquiries. She and her property manager Monic are absolutely wonderful.
Upon arrival, the villa was very clean and looked exactly like the photos. We’ve been staying in villas on St John for 10 years now. What truly sets this property apart aside from the owner and property manager’s customer service, is the villas amenities. Truly nothing was spared or missed. They provide separate bath, pool and quick dry beach towels well in excess of the number of guests, the kitchen is stocked with everything you could possibly want. Shampoo, conditioner, soap and paper products are provided in quantities that don’t require running out to the market. The house is spacious and set up in a way that allows for your group to spend time comfortably together or separately. There are lots of games to play too, they truly thought of everything.
Our two young boys, ages 6 & 8 loved the pool, it was the first thing they did each day and the last thing they did before bed. There are nice shady spots to relax outside and my parents enjoyed using the grill while my husband and I went out for dinner at my favorite restaurant on island, Extra Virgin. The location is superb. In less than 5 minutes, you’re at Shambles and Windmill Bar. Coco Jim’s is just a couple minutes further. 7 minutes to Cruz Bay and 10 minutes to most of the beaches.

Our week stay at Villa mangaade was wonderful. Check in and communication with the property manager before and during our stay was above and beyond our expectations. We had previously stayed in the same area so were familiar with the steep driveways and hairpin turns that can at first be intimidating. The house was immaculate and the few minor issues were handled immediately by Monic. The outdoor space was one of a kind and our young boys loved looking for wildlife on the property. We would absolutely stay again!

We just got back from a great stay at the Villa and on Saint John. The Villa was a wonderful quiet and cool place to spend our relaxation when we weren’t exploring the island. Plenty of room for our party of 6 and great spaces to relax. Monic was terrific and her letter beforehand with tips and then check ins throughout the week were great.

We stayed for a week at the end of March 2023. We had a wonderful time and the property was beautiful. Nice shaded area by the pool for afternoon drinks and snacks. Super comfortable beds and the cutest decor! The property manager was very quick to respond to any email but was not pushy or too in our business, which we really appreciated. I would totally go back to this property and would highly recommend to stay here. I loved the tree with the eye….

This property did not disappoint. We had a lovely stay with our 1 year old twins.
One of the best parts of our stay was Monic! She is the property manager. Not only did she send us a list of recommendations, she made our arrival (especially with little ones) a dream. We had groceries from the Starfish Market and baby gear from island baby delivered to the home and ready on our arrival.
House was clean. Beds comfy. Stocked with all the things we needed. Very happy.
We enjoyed a different beach everyday. It took us about 20-30 minutes to all of the top beaches on the north shore. Cruz Bay was an easy 10 minutes. We loved having a rental car to explore - it was a must for us (we rented on St. Thomas and took the car ferry).
The views are as photographed. They are just beautiful. We enjoyed sunrise and sunset - such a relaxing and peaceful place. Great place to listen to the frogs.
The pool was a little chilly for us (at the end of February) - best used at the warmest time of the day. That didn’t stop us (but we are from the Midwest).
My favorite part may have been the two outdoor showers. Sooo relaxing.
The third bedroom downstairs is only accessible by the outdoor stairs (no direct access to the main living space). Stairs with good lighting options at night.
If you stay here - you must check out the Windmill for a view (and cocktail) at sunset. They had live music on the weekend. We also really enjoyed a casual meal at Shambles. Both locations casual dining or drinks / no reservations / ~5 minute drive.
Lastly, the owner was very responsive. We added a few days to our stay. She was so speedy and accommodating.

Great STJ Home
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Mangaade! Very well appointed home with well stocked kitchen and amenities. House feels more like a home rather than a rental property. Definitely appreciate the owner's touch and feel throughout. The lap pool is amazing and the deep end keeps the water temperature perfect. Really cool outside bar adjacent to pool was huge bonus. Location was wonderful as it provided for ease to both Cruz Bay and Centerline Rd (Hwy 10) for trips to Coral Bay and Hwy 206 cut off. Lots of fun with the switchbacks.
Property manager Monic and owner are both delightful and very responsive! We look forward to returning.

We loved staying here! The views are gorgeous, the pool is delightful. It's unusual to have a pool long enough for laps and we swam every day. The three bedrooms worked well for us, with the teens having a separate entrance downstairs. The house is well kept and well supplied. The location is nice - close enough to town but it feels remote, with easy access to the beaches and the inland groceries and restaurants. We'd definitely return.

Perfect getaway
Our experience from the time of booking and throughout our entire stay was fantastic. The communication was great, both with the owner and property manager. The property was exactly as we expected based on the description and photos. Our family of 6 enjoyed our time and we can’t wait to come back!

Villa Maangade was everything and more for our stay at St. John. The villa is stunning with sunset views each day. The Tesla solar system at the villa was great as there were several power outages on the island. We loved the mango trees, birds singing, and seclusion of the villa. We hope to be back!

This is one of the few properties I’ve stayed at that was actually better in person. Kitchen was as well equipped as any short term rental I’ve been in. Bedroom was easily unpacked into. Plenty of drawer space, hangers, linens and towels. Even a hamper. Outdoor showers might not be for everyone, but I loved it. A little difficult to find at night. I would recommend the management drop a pin at the location and share it with the renters. Directions are difficult on the island. Maybe a fan up in the corner of the bar area would have had us using that area a little more since it’s tucked away from any breeze. Overall everything felt really well thought out though. I think we used every space on the property and wanted for nothing in particular. Great place and would recommend it to anyone who asked me.

Luxury villa stay
This villa is truly a slice of paradise, with all the things you need for a relaxing stay on St John. Gorgeous views, private pool, peaceful neighborhood. All the beach things you need are provided (umbrella, chairs, coolers). Monic is a big help with restaurant reservations and tips. We’d come back.

Perfect!
We have been to St. John numerous times, always staying at different villas. Due to COVID, we escaped to Villa Mangaade for 2 weeks. The accommodations were exceptional! Location to Cruz Bay very convenient. Many appearances by iguanas and tons of hermit crabs for added excitement. Little loft area was great for our 13 year old. Pool area perfect. Everything was perfect!! Thank you for a much needed family escape!

Villa Mangaade is literally heaven on Earth. This home is stunning. It is decorated beautifully and it appointed with everything we needed for a relaxing and amazing stay for the week.
My husband and I spent 7 fantastic days here celebrating our 30th anniversary. We spent each day exploring the island and returned here each late afternoon for drinks and relaxing by the pool. The home was so comfortable and pictures are accurate. The house is well maintained, beds and so comfortable. We woke up rested each day.
Monic was so sweet and her hospitality was wonderful. She met us at the house to show us around. We appreciated that she stocked our groceries for the first night so we could relax after a day of travel to the island. She also gave us some amazing tips of things to see and do. Windmill Bar at sunset was a real treat!
Many thanks for a perfect week in paradise. We will definitely be returning someday and we've been telling all of our friends to check out Villa Mangaade!

Beautiful home away from home!!
We rented the house for a gals trip (four ladies) and had a wonderful time! It had plenty of room, comfy beds, towels, beach towels, ect. Everything we needed for a great vacation. We will definitely come back and would recommend to others for sure! Thank you again!!

Great St John vacation vila
Our family of six had a fabulous time staying in this spacious, well equipped, home with a gorgeous mountain top view of the water. We used all three bedrooms and my 20 year old son did fine sleeping in the loft. We had some fabulous meals in Cruz Bay and easily cooked and grilled at home as well. The property manager, Monic was a tremendous help picking us up from the ferry and taking us up to the house, and answered any questions i had via text immediately. We had one rainy afternoon and ended up having a blast playing games (i think we used up most of the drawing paper in your pictionary game;) ... You will have a blast staying here!!

It doesn’t get much better than this!
The property was absolutely beautiful! Pictures do not do it justice. We had 4 adults who stayed for 5 days. Check in process is easy. You call to let them know what ferry you are on & a driver meets you to bring you to the house. It is about 10 minutes from downtown which made getting where we needed to go so easy! The salt water pool, was perfection. We watched the sunset over the ocean every night. The beds were so so comfy. We didn’t utilize the outdoor bar, but if we were there longer we sure would of. The hanging hammocks were fun to sit their and relax. There is SO much room within the house! We never felt like we were on top of each other. The wildlife was full of life. Iguanas who sunbathed poolside (3 of them). The property was full of lush beautiful island plants! How fun are the outdoor showers? So fun! Everything was perfect & I would go back here 100 times if I could! Highly recommended!! ENJOY!

Great Villa with everything you need!
We were 2 couples staying and Villa Mangaade was perfect. Two king rooms on either side of the house with an additional 3rd bedroom by the pool deck. The kitchen had everything you need, including stainless steel cookware, serving dishes, kitchen gadgets, and dinnerware. We cooked dinner several nights. The unit is well decorated and furniture is in great shape. The wireless Bose speakers are perfect in the house. The Villa had more than enough chairs and coolers for day trips to the beaches. Would recommend a jeep for getting around the island. The outdoor dining table for 8 under the gazebo was great, and we saw iguanas every morning sunning in the trees. One of the best aspects is the location up on Gifft Hill. The Villa is only about 5 mins from several grocery stores and markets. Its ideally situated a short drive from Cruz Bay, and only 20 mins from Coral Bay and surrounding area. It's so close, but feels very secluded. Melissa made everything easy and we would highly recommend staying. We can't wait to come back! Thanks for sharing your home with us!

Beautiful! Better than expected!
Celebrated my 50th birthday in St. John with my husband and another couple. We absolutely loved Villa Mangaade! Some days it was hard to leave the villa, but we always came back at the end of the day to enjoy the pool and have cocktails at the bar. We plan on making this an annual trip and staying at Villa Mangaade.
10 minutes to Cruz Bay, 20 minutes to Coral Bay and convenient to all of the beaches. We absolutely loved it!

Beautiful Vacation Home. It had everything we needed!
We had a wonderful stay at Villa Mangaade. We were two couples traveling together and the house was perfect. We each had a king bedroom on opposite ends of the house, both with gorgeous water views, comfortable beds, and outdoor showers. There is a third bedroom that you access from the pool deck that we didn't use, but it would be perfect if traveling with another couple or family. The kitchen was very well equipped and we were pleasantly surprised to find some snacks and drinks waiting for us when we arrived after a long day of travel! The outdoor areas of this home are great with nice seating on the top deck for coffee in the mornings and a great outdoor dining table on the pool deck. Although we didn't end up using it (We couldn't tear ourselves away from the happy hour at Longboard! Those frozen Painkillers are not to be missed!), the pool bar was great and well equipped. We also loved the lounge chairs and hammock swings on the lower deck.
The house was centrally located and just a short drive from Cruz Bay. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and such a nice setting to come home to after a day at the beach. There were plenty of coolers, beach chairs, and umbrellas available to use. We really had everything we needed to enjoy the most wonderful vacation on St. John. We highly recommend this property!

Perfect destination for couples traveling together
Perfect villa for 3 couples traveling together. The villa is beautifully decorated in Carribean colors. We enjoyed the deck with its great views and the outdoor bar. Laura met us at the car rental agency and showed us to the house and is a wealth of information! The villa is a short drive to town for lunch, dinner and shopping. We would definitely stay here again! St. John is alive and thriving after the 2017 Hurricane.
