As you pull up to this impressive beach blue two story home that can be found at 601 Wave Court, Surfside Beach, Texas, you will be greeted by a ground level hide-a-way that sports a hammock, Tiki bar, string lights, plenty of seating and a private outdoor shower to wash off all the sand that the beach has to offer all of your guests. This home sits on two lots, protected by a natural berm, with direct access to the sandy beach where no cars are allowed and waves that are calling your name! As the new owners of this amazing, 4-bedroom 3.5 baths beach front house, we want you to feel like this is the perfect get-a-way that has space for everyone to spread out, get comfy and have an unforgettable stay! Several updates have been made to include outdoor recliners, additional seating on the decks, gaming stations (Nintendo Switch and Xbox Series S), space to work from home, ground floor hide-a-way and other amenities to provide you with the best in comfort and care. You can feel the love that the Blue Wave provides as you enter and are greeted by a large open concept living room and kitchen where you can entertain up to 14 people of all ages. Nothing Short of Amazing!
My husband arranged this trip for our daughters’ families & us to share some time together at the beach. So fun!
The house itself was very well laid out for our three families. Lots of room for the ten of us & having four bathrooms was definitely helpful.
The main deck was awesome! Again, lots of room; we were able to set up a kiddie pool & still have a place for the adults to all spread out. It was nice there were latching gates to keep the children contained. The charcoal bbq worked well; we had some yummy meals!
The kitchen had much more than we expected. All kinds of dishes, pot, baking pans, utensils. Oh, & the mini fridge for extra beverages was a nice addition. The washer & dryer was helpful & looked very new. Upon our arrival to check-in, we saw a couple trucks parked there & learned the dishwasher wasn’t working so the workmen were immediately on it. Very professional & helpful. They replaced the dishwasher the next day with very minimal disturbance to our day. Installation was completed in an hour or so while most of our family was playing on the beach.
Some comments were made about the water. To me, it tasted like the water softener was doing its job overtime. Not really a bad taste to most in our group, just different than we are used to. There is a water dispenser & we were told we could get free water in jugs close by. We opted to buy bottled water & others drank the tap water as well. No problem for us.
The outside shower was soooo helpful for everyone; the kids thought it was another adventure!
Ample parking for our three vehicles was available.
I liked that we were able to get answers quickly from the office if we had any questions(like
about the dishwasher)
The walkway from the house to the beach was perfect! We could set up at the beach & see the house from our post. So helpful with the kids.
Walk to TWO restaurants on the beach from the house. A fun highlight the children loved was walking back from the Beachfront Restaurant at night & seeing the stars. My husband & I enjoyed the Seahorse Bar & Grill at the beginning of our stay & as a going away visit for us.
This house, the Blue Wave, was an excellent choice for our families.

We had an amazing stay at this house! It was perfect for us! Super clean. Huge kitchen and bar. Well stocked. Beds were comfy. Great place! Would definitely recommend this house!

We are only a family of 4 (5 including our dog), but this house would easily accommodate about 3 families like ours. The location could not be better. You have ample parking space and catwalk access directly from the house deck to the beach. Additionally, with one small step up onto the public entrance for the catwalk, you also have a nice ramp-only route to the house main floor from the driveway. This was important to us as our dog is old and can’t do stairs anymore. With all the things we loved about the house, please suffice it to say you should just stop looking and book this property. It’s amazing and would be very difficult to beat.
Now that you’ve already decided to book it, here are the minor complaints/improvements I would make…
1) The toilet paper holder in the main floor bath room is loose and doesn’t hold the roll. At least, not when a 6-year old girl tries to use it.
2) A couple of the carpet tack strips on the door thresholds (the main floor master, in particular) have nail heads sticking up a bit far and should be hammered in. They’re not sharp, but they are quite unpleasant to step on.
3) There are 2 main floor exit doors and 3 top floor patio doors. All have a deadbolt and a locking knob. I don’t think any of them have both in smooth, working order. Lots of sticking parts, misaligned deadbolt holes, etc. To be fair, at least one lock on each door works, so the house is secured, but a little WD-40 or some new knobs might go a long way.
4) The BluRay player on the main floor needs an HDMI cable and a working remote. The RCA cable hookup that’s on it doesn’t seem to work with the TV, but luckily, I travel with a spare HDMI so our kids were able to watch a movie. Without the remote working (we tried new batteries), controlling playback was a bit cumbersome.
5) The communicated checkout cleaning expectations seem excessive considering you pay a cleaning fee.
5) Update the listing and materials sent by the rental company to properly reflect the amenities actually at the property. These are all errors obscuring a better experience, so updating them should further solidify your decision to stay here… Here’s a list that comes to mind of example discrepancies: There IS a blender. The kitchen dishes are very well stocked. The tap water is an unsettling brown tint, but there’s a 5-gal water cooler stocked with filtered water. There are hair dryers. There are plenty of linens and towels provided went renting through VRBO.

Great location! Loved the walkway over the dunes to the beach. I have rented many condos/beach houses in Port Aransas and Galveston over the past 30 years and this house has the best stocked kitchen. Loved the deck with the gates that you can close to keep the grand kids/dog on the deck. Great idea!! And the Champagne upon arrival was a very thoughtful touch!

Thanksgiving weekend 2021
Great location! Loved the walkway over the dunes to the beach. I have rented many condos/beach houses in Port Aransas and Galveston over the past 30 years and this house has the best stocked kitchen. Loved the deck with the gates that you can close to keep the grand kids/dog on the deck. Great idea!! And the Champagne upon arrival was a very thoughtful touch!

The place and location are excellent, but the ac only worked so so and you had to pack in your own drinking water. I understand the ac as things happen but I didn’t find out about the drinking water situation until after we booked. It would be better if that was known upfront…Buck

We had 12 people in our group from age 6 to 82. We also had 1 person in a wheelchair. Everyone was able to get in and out of the property easily. It is very close to the beach. Enjoyed sitting on the porch in the evenings listening to the water. The property was well stocked and had some of the little things you didn't know you would need. I would definitely stay here again.

Best experience I've had a t Surfside so far, had a small issue in the beginning storm blew out a transformer but the owner of the property quickly resolved the issue for me, beautiful home would definitely come back again.!!

We spent my birthday and New Years Eve with a couple of friends. It was so relaxing and a great way to end 2020 and begin 2021. The welcome gift was a great surprise. Everything was as said, clean and the supplies were plentiful.

It was great and very roomy for our large family. It was just steps from the beach. Of course Hurricane Beta was coming in but that didn't scare us away. Our family still enjoyed our quick get away.

Absolutely amazing time for us 6 adults and 3 kiddos. The beaches are clean and gorgeous, we spent 95% of our time outside. Great resteraunts in the area, we recommend the Beachfront Bar and Grill for catfish and drinks (biggest filet I've ever had) and the Seahorse and Red Snapper Inn were great too. Gotta check out the surf shop and Loco store for super cute souvenirs too, and a day trip to Galveston if you want some fun things to do is a short beautiful drive just down blue water highway. We are already planning our trip back next year! Management was very attentive, quick to get ahold of with any questions, and wonderful to work with as well!

The management company was very easy to work with, and communication was great. The location was absolutely perfect. Our family had plenty of space. We easily could have accommodated another family. The beach was beautiful. It was busy on the weekend, but not during the week. Unfortunately, we had to cut our trip short due to Hurricane Laura. We had been watching the storm closely, and had already planned to leave when the management company let us know it would not be safe to stay. We really hope to come back again, and would not hesitate to book this same house!

Absolutely amazing time for us 6 adults and 3 kiddos. The beaches are clean and gorgeous, we spent 95% of our time outside. Overall nice house with good location. Only 1 issue we faced was mosquito as it’s rainy season but if I get chance again I would book the same property through BRS. BRS provides a very good service

Amazing time just steps from the beach!
This property had everything we needed to have a great time with the family. It was clean upon arrival, lots of space inside and outside. We had 2 families and we all had enough space to hang out with 2 living rooms! The 4 balconies were a treat! We loved this house, thank you for the amazing memories we made!

Blue Wave
This home was a really good location to the beach - just several steps away. It was very comfortable for our family and two little grandkids. The property manager allowed us an earlier check in which was nice. We spent most of our time on the oversized deck looking at the view! *

Beach getaway
The house is very lovely and convenient to the beach, however upon arrival we were greeted by the neighbor who promptly pointed out her property line and told us to stay off her property. We hadn’t even gotten inside the house. The kitchen dishwasher and refrigerator smelled of fish. The water jugs for the water dispenser were all empty. The tap water is yellow and not drinkable so bring plenty of water with you. There were no linens on the beds or towels when we arrived. These arrived arrived in a laundry bag for us to put on the beds ourselves . One of the doors for the back balcony would get stuck closed and we had to struggle to open it. The beach was very very crowded and traffic was heavy on it. Nothing like the pictures. We made the best of it and had a good time. I don’t think it was worth the money I paid.

Better than Expected!
Everything about the property was wonderful. The owners have a beautiful home that exceeds expectation. We were a group of 12 that stayed very comfortably in the space. The kitchen is better appointed that most I have rented. I would definitely stay in this beautiful home again! The management company was extremely responsive and helpful.

Property was Clean and ready for our stay. Location is good for walking to the beach. Have a good A/C is a must and this property had a well maintained A/C. Beach Resort Properties answered any questions we had promptly. Was a wonderful weekend. Thank you.

Family weekend
This is a great spot for any family trip. It's on the beach with a nice boardwalk connecting. The decks are great for hanging out or viewing the ocean. We even saw a pod of dolphins playing just off shore. The house was very nice and clean. Management was easy to reach and very accommodating. I highly recommend.

Good enough...
Was there for Memorial Weekend... the house was nice and clean however the first time I used the sink a million gnats filled the property and were around for most of our stay. The AC also did not work well so the property never got below 75 degrees making linens a non necessity as we had to sleep on top of the covers. Was a good stay for what we needed it for but there could definitely be some improvements made.
