Beautiful and comfortable home. Close proximity to dining options. Easy to find and in a great neighborhood.

We very much enjoyed this historic home while visiting family for the holidays. The spacious main floor gave us plenty of room to spread out for the games and puzzling the kids like to do, or just sit around the large dining room table and talk if you wanted. And everyone had their own bedroom which was fantastic. Nicely updated kitchen with new appliances. Too bad there was no snow to enjoy this time; we wanted to go skiing! Maybe next year.

It was very neat to stay in this historic home. The hosts provided some history on the property which was fun to read. It was very clean upon arrival and it was dog friendly as well which is great. Centrally located so it was just a few mins to any location.

I enjoyed my stay at this house. I have stayed at quite a few Victorian Houses and this is among the nicest of them. I believe my experience was heightened by having so many other historic in Eau Claire in the neighborhood to walk around and enjoy viewing. Nice quiet neighborhood with the very lovely Putnam Park to enjoy a stroll through.

The house is beautiful and spacious. Kitchen is well equipt but would have liked a crock pot. One of the twin rooms has a trundle bed but was comfortable. The front porch is large and has a big table and plenty of chairs. Katie was available with information regarding getting in.

We enjoyed our stay. The house is old and floors are creaky and that is to be expected.
Screened in porch was quite nice!

We traveled to Eau Claire from Texas for my son’s wedding. This was a lovely home to have family gather. The house has a screened in back patio that overlooks a park and lovely backyard. We would stay at this historic home again.

My group of 5 met up at this beautiful home for a very fun UWEC alumni weekend.
This house was perfect for many reasons:
It is very centrally located and everything we wanted to do was either a walk or short drive away.
It has 5 spacious bedrooms so we each got our own space and bed.
For a beautiful, historic home, it was so comfortable and we didn’t feel like everything was fragile and quirky like many old homes.
Checking in and out was very easy and convenient.
I hope this place is available for our next friend weekend!

Enjoyed the house, very lovely. Was surprised when we were charged an unexpected fee when the five year old’s babysitter fell through for one night.

Five college friends and I stayed here for three days/two nights to catch up with one another. The house is beautiful and we enjoyed exploring it! There were enough beds for everybody (only two of us shared a room) and the house was toasty for winter. The kitchen is very well appointed with modern appliances and a coffeepot and kettle were included!
We stayed in and played board games and watched movies, cooked food and talked. A very peaceful and clean stay.

The house was amazing, we had fun checking it out. The neighborhood was peaceful and quiet and we were there over Halloween weekend! Katie our host was prompt with answers to questions. The code entry system worked perfectly and the house was equipped with everything we needed for the weekend. Don’t forget to read the binder information about the house!!

All 9 adults came to Eau Claire for a wedding reception at the Westgate Sportsman’s Club. The club was 15 minutes away. The house is located by shopping and the downtown. A beautiful park is behind the house and it has a large outdoor screened in porch. It snowed while we were there. The heat worked great and kept the house toasty. The house is well equipped with towels, sheets and blankets. The kitchen has plenty of items to cook and bake.

Family with extended stay
We found our stay here very comfortable. Lots of room to enjoy this beautiful house. To sit and relax in a living room from the past that feels like time has forgot is worthy. There is such beauty in the old fashioned detail of the original construction of the house, it was a delightful learning experience in itself. Plenty of windows casting light into the rooms with their wood floors, spacious living & dining room. A special treat is the screened in back porch, from spring thru winter this is a gem to enjoy a meal or just sit and be with nature. The back yard is large for the kids and is adjacent to a park with athletic fields including a skating rink in the winter. We had plenty of storage space for our family . The location is minutes from Eau Claire's business district and yet tucked away in a quite edge of the neihborhood. We enjoyed our stay and were taken care of very well by our host who was kind, considerate and helpful. There is a lot more to say about this beautiful property and host but limited space to say it. From the A-Team: Thank you Katie for a wonderful time, we would definately stay here again in the future, The Andersons.

Our group of college friends had a great time staying at this beautiful home for our 40th year UWEC Homecoming gathering. Lots of room, super clean, and in close proximity to favorite places to revisit! Katie was very responsive to questions and helpful with suggestions in the guide she left for us. This home has a very interesting historical background-so fun to read about! Would definitely stay here again!

The Demlmler House is a great old house with easy access to downtown and it was our second time staying here. We were so looking forward to our sisters weekend here. Unfortunately it was not what we hoped. The house had not be cleaned well and one of the beds had soiled bedding. It was most distressing and had us wondering if anything had been cleaned well. We did stay through our weekend but double checked everything before using. Not the relaxing, no worries time we had hoped for.
