Located in Mosier, Oregon, 5 miles east of Hood River, this newly remodeled 1 bedroom, 1 bath bungalow has a complete kitchen, open layout and a view of the Columbia River and Washington Syncline. This house is perfect place for a couple, a girls weekend or a family of 4. It has a washer and dryer, a comfortable (yes comfortable) sleeper couch and everything you need for a relaxing or adventurous vacation. It has a grill, patio, a hammock, and room for storing your bikes or SUPs. Sit on the porch with your morning cup of coffee, afternoon tea and/or the evening drink. Walk to the local restaurant or tap house and enjoy the pace of a small town. Drive 5 miles or ride your bike on the historic highway to Hood River for more action and shopping. Take a more challenging bike ride into the Dalles and back or launch your kite board out of the Mosier Creek launch site. Visit local wineries, hike to Tom McCall point for a spectacular view or visit our local swimming hole. Or read your book.

The notebook on things to do was terrific, and I really enjoyed walking down the hill to Mosier Company-good food and live music, hard to beat!

This house is centrally located but out of the Hood River crowds. We loved sitting on the porch, where we could see the river. The neighborhood was very quiet.

Great space for 2! Wonderful kitchen space that is very well equipped. Spacious living/dining area and nice outdoor spaces with a river view form the porch. Helpful activities guides. Martha was a great communicator and accommodating. Made our week of Gorge Downwind Championships super convenient and fun. And Mosier is a charming town.

My husband and i traveled to Oregon from Virginia for a wedding near Mt. Hood. The house was absolutely perfect for us and was equipped with everything we needed including a hairdryer. The town of Mosier is charming and we were able to walk to get coffee and meals. We greatly enjoyed our stay.

We’ve been coming to the Columbia River Gorge for years, but first time staying in Mosier. It was exactly what we were after. Tranquility, comfort, and handy access to all the area has to offer. The cottage itself was great, well-appointed. Amazingly soundproof. Stargazing through the bedroom skylight a nice touch. Morning walks for coffee at Randonnee a perfect way to start the day. Highly recommend!

Such a cute little cottage, just the right size! My husband has been a carpenter for 30 plus years and was constantly commenting on the great workmanship that was put into the remodeling of this home. Coffee was great, view was great, and the little town of Mosier was all you needed. Hiking trails available all around!

Great little cottage. It had everything we needed and the washer and dryer were a nice addition. Close to historic highway 30 which allowed for some excellent bike rides. Good jumping off point for many outdoor adventures. Try the taco truck-great food and the market seemed to have everything you would need.

Loved our stay at the Little Red House. My sister and two cousins had a lovely and relaxing girl's weekend here. Great location with the amazing swimming hole and trails a 5 minute walk away. House updated yet cozy. Would stay again!

The cleanliness of the property, the quality of furnishings and appliances, and everything else was just fantastic. Our host seems to have thought of every possible amenity including whole bean coffee. Highly recommended!

This darling cottage is exactly as described. It's been updated with all the comforts of home while retaining its historical charm. The location in Mosier was perfect! We could walk everywhere in this tiny town that had a little bit of everything, including a local bar/restaurant, Mosier Company, that had delicious hard cider, outside seating, music, and lots of friendly locals. We hiked, we biked (e-bikes), we swam in the swimming hole, and we sat out on the front porch every morning and evening taking in the views of the river. The cottage was well-equipped with everything we needed, including coffee for our first morning. There was so much to do and see, we could have stayed much longer than our 5 days. Loved it!

My daughter and I stayed at the Little Red House for her sailing event in the Gorge. The town of Mosier and the house in particular provided a clean, quiet respite from long days on the water. Moseying back to Mosier each evening allowed for space and reflection.
The shower gets warm fast, the AC keeps the house cold, and the linens are clean and soft. Go to MoCo for a beverage and bite. Thanks Little Red House!

My husband and I completed an Oregon state road trip and used this location as our home base to explore the gorge area. Home was very cute, spacious, clean, and convenient to Mt. Hood, Hood River, White Salmon, and the historic hwy 30. The town of Mosier has a small market store with necessities, a coffee shop, and a food truck. It was just a short drive to reach a variety of restaurants, hiking trails, and various other activities. We didn't experience any problems, thus, no need to contact the owner. We definitely recommend a stay at the Little Red House!

The little red cottage was clean, quaint and quiet. Recently updated space in a great quiet location walkable to everything in Mosier. Would definitely stay there again. The manager was super responsive and friendly.

It is always a pleasant experience to find a rental property that is clean, comfortable and more than sufficiently equipped with most everything you may need on a cold, snowy stay. It is ideally located; both outside and inside provide a very relaxing atmosphere. Communication with owners was easy and efficient. We enjoyed our cottage home!

Great stay! The patio was the best part - we enjoyed the Columbia river view while we had our morning coffees/teas and evening happy hours. Location is approx 6 miles from Hood River so it's very convenient yet away from the hustle and bustle. Great communication from Martha, she's very accommodating. Will stay here again and highly recommend.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the little red cottage and welcomed Mosier as a respite from the summer crowd in Hood River. The cottage itself was very clean and comfortable. We safely parked our bikes under the porch. There is a store, a coffee shop and hip restaurant within easy walking distance but we found the days and hours of operation limited for all but the store. Hood River is a short easy drive away AND accessible by a well-maintained, paved, moderately hilly bike path. If you ride in, we recommend Ground Espresso on the east side of downtown HR. Bottom line, the little red cottage is a great place to stay!

This is an old mother in law house from days gone by that has been recently refinished with great care. It's very comfortable, lovely furnishings and woodwork, and has a very nice kitchen and great room to enjoy with a view of the river. It is great for a couple, and located near biking, hiking, and the Columbia River and its tributaries. It is also just two blocks from Mosier's beer restaurant. I'd return!

Stayed three nights with my husband as we have friends and family nearby. The cottage is comfortable and has all the amenities we needed. Mosier is tiny but does have a small market and coffee place and is an easy drive to hood river. We were glad to stay outside of the town and be in a quiet neighborhood. The cottage is adorable and comfortable just as the pictures show.

We had everything we needed -- and much more -- in the Little Red House and our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. We appreciated an excellent full kitchen, comfortable bed, cozy deck to enjoy morning coffee or afternoon drinks, and the ambiance of the place. Thanks to the hist for providing us with everythung and making our stay so pleasant! We also liked the town of Moiser and will be back!

The Little Red House was the perfect home base for our visit to the Gorge. The kitchen is large and well-stocked--great for cooking " at home" after our days on the trail. Location is lovely in "downtown" Mosier... easy access to the gorge area with a nice view onto the river across the little town. Everything was super-clean and easy to use. Five stars!
