Outstanding Kissimmee vacation home with heatable pool, and lots of privacy
About this house rental
Located in Poinciana, this lovely house for $214 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. This Excellent Vacation Home is of the Excellent Superior category. The villa is situated in a quiet cul-de-sac (no through traffic) in St. James Park, right off South Poinciana Blvd. All major theme parks like Walt Disney World, Universal Studios and Sea World are within easy reach. Just like the many world’s best golf courses Central Florida has to offer. There are supermarkets and dining nearby. Everything you could possibly need really is close at hand. This villa offers free high-speed internet (Wi-Fi) plus free local and long-distance calling within the United States. The 2 story villa has many extras to make your stay very enjoyable. It has been furnished to a very good standard. When entering the villa the living room with comfortable sofas is on your left. The formal dining room is on your right. Straight ahead you step into the family room with cable TV and to the right of that room you will find the semi-open kitchen and spacious breakfast nook, seating 6. In the rear on the left side of the villa you will find the Master Bedroom with King Bed, flat-screen TV with DVD player, plus walk-in closet and the en suite bathroom with dual vanity, walk-in shower, large garden tub and toilet. On the right side of the villa you will find the second bedroom with Queen Bed, TV and closet, plus another spacious bathroom with dual vanity, shower tub and toilet. This bathroom also offers direct pool deck access. This is a very convenient feature; it allows you to walk-in and out from the pool deck right into the bathroom to take that quick shower and find your towels after those refreshing swims. The other two bedrooms are upstairs. The first bedroom to the right has a Full bed, closet and bathroom with vanity, shower tub and toilet. This bathroom is shared with the other bedroom, which has a bunk bed sleeping 2 younger guests. Last but not least, you will find upstairs another family room with TV, plus access to the screened balcony, offering a wonderful view onto the pool and surrounding area. All bedrooms and the family room have ceiling fans. The open kitchen is very well fitted. It includes a full size oven, built-in microwave, large fridge-freezer with ice-maker, waste disposal unit and dishwasher. There is also a full range of electrical appliances and utensils – pretty much everything you could want in your home away from home. From the family room and the two downstairs bedrooms, you have access to the heatable pool. Pool deck chairs and sun loungers allow for late night, pool side relaxing. The fantastic view from the great pool onto the pond plus the high trees in the back is very hard to beat. The pool heating is optional, at an extra cost. The laundry room with washing machine and dryer are located in the garage. Iron and ironing board are present too. The house is comfortable but need updates need pillows to be changed it have stains , the second floor air conditioner is cold but the master bathroom don’t work to hot, if those issues are correct it will be much better

Everything about this property was perfect. Pictures don’t do it justice as this place was better than the pictures. Neighborhood was very nice, peaceful, and safe. Property was very well maintained and super clean. I would definitely book this place again

While the property is set up well to accommodate a large family it really needs some things addressed. The home is severely outdated (but that didn’t bother us) and it was dirty! On the surface it looks clean enough but look to sills, blinds and the nooks and crannies, carpet, it hasn’t been deep cleaned in some time, if ever. On many of the thresholds where carpet and tile meet there are carpet tacks sticking out, be aware, they hurt! There is also something majorly wrong with the way the AC system is run through the house. On one half of the house it’s cold as ice while from the living room over to the master are so hot! My issue is also that my about companies have been guest complaints over the last couple of years but they still have not been addressed.
And don’t even try to use the upper deck off the upstairs living room. It does not sound safe when you walk on it.

The weather was extremely cold and the pool heat shut off by 5 pm. House needs more towels and there were no beach towels at all

We had a great time in this perfectly placed villa. Easy access to Disney and lots of restaurants. Pool it was perfect for post pool dips. Loved the South West decor in the villa having visited Arizona.

If you are looking for the perfect rental this is not for you but if you can overlook the imperfections it's a great place to stay for the price. The decor is very dated with random decorations. The place was generally clean but don't look too closely. Some safety concerns were sharp carpet tacks sticking up in the doorways so if you stepped wrong, it would cut your foot. The coffee pot doesn't have an automatic shut off and we left for day with it running. There was at least a 7 foot alligator hanging in the small pond in the back yard that let us know he was there. It was a little unsettling hearing him growl while we were hanging around the pool after dark. The microwave didn't work and we called about that but was told the house was low priority so it would be fixed during our stay. So if you can overlook all that, it's a great place to stay with lots of room and close to all the Orlando and Kissimmee attractions

Very large house. Adequate dishes, pots pans….We were not looking for much. It would be helpful to lay out better instructions for the tv- when you have young kids they want cartoons! There are multiple remotes. Pleasant stay- quiet neighborhood.

I have mixed feelings writing this review. I will start with the positives. The layout of the house was great for my wife and I and our two adult children. We had good spaces to come together, but had plenty of space to spread out and do our own thing too as the bedrooms are far apart from each other. The pool area was great for relaxing and we spent a lot of time there. Unfortunately, there are many negatives that go with the house too. It has suffered from a lack of maintenance, updating, and regular cleaning. The shower in the master bedroom had black mold/dirt in much of the grout. There has been no cleaning of the edges of the carpet in ages. All along the baseboards and door sills are disgusting. The Lenai structure is turning green because it doesn’t get washed. Two of the lounge chairs by the pool I would never sit in. The arms and cushions are turning green! Unfortunately, our first morning making breakfast found a dead cockroach on top of the range. We found legs on the floor a couple of mornings. Most of the utensils needed washing (I’ll blame other guests for that). The interior really needs a lot of work. The home has not aged well with cabinets and flooring showing their wear. I’m guessing the owner doesn’t want to put money into it and is milking it for what they can before dumping it. The neglect is that bad. One final comment. Our vacation was made memorable when we returned the second evening and the lock on the front door had apparently broke. We could not get in the house. EVH was very responsive and had a locksmith there in a reasonable amount of time. Unfortunately, the door has a 3 point locking system and they were unable to get it open. The back doors all had interior dead bolts and couldn’t be breached. Long story short, the manager of EVH drove 45 minutes in the wee hours of the night after finding some keys to try. He arrived and was able to open the garage door. From there we got the hinges off the interior door and we were in. EVH did refund us some money for the trouble of being locked out about 4 hours. There were just too many negatives to rate this higher. I am shocked at some of the reviews I am reading. We are not clean freaks by any means, but this house was disgusting. Ultimately, I rate a house by would I stay here again if we came back to Orlando and that answer is no way.
