The second bedroom has a Queen Bed, with a Full Size Trundle Bed, and a flat-screen TV with Spectrum Cable and Roku options. This home offers a spacious living area complete with a queen-size sofabed, love seat, and 40 40-inch flat screen TV with Spectrum Cable and Roku Smart options. The home offers a fully equipped kitchen, complete with an Oven, Microwave, Dishwasher, Keurig Duo Coffee Maker, Crock-Pot, Air Fryer, and well-stocked kitchenware. Garden City Beach is directly South of Surfside Beach and ends on a peninsula at the mouth of Murrells Inlet. The place is great little getaway spot. All the amenities to make it feel like home. A really short walk to the beach, doesn’t matter which way turn out of the house. Both beach access is equal distance. The area is quiet with a small town feel.

Our stay at The Half Shell was Awesome. The location is fantastic. I stayed with my 2 dogs and we walked to the Beach multiple times. The house is just a short walk to the Beach. The neighborhood was beautiful, quiet and peaceful. The weather was beautiful. The house is clean, cozy, comfortable and exactly as advertised. I loved the keyless entry, no fears of losing a key or locking yourself out without a key. I also loved the ground level access, no leading the dogs up and down steps for every walk or potty break. It was perfect for a smaller group that does not need a house that sleeps 12! We used both the direct beach access closest to the house as well as the handicapped access which was just 3 blocks away so we could use our beach cart. We will definitely stay again and will most certainly recommend to friends and family.

This charming little bungalow worked out great for us. One of few houses on ground level so easy for older dog to enter and exit. Very clean when we arrived. Description very accurate. Owner responsive. Really enjoyed the back deck. Sat out there with drinks and food. Block and a half from beach.

The property was just as advertised. Ashley was very responsive and timely. We lost power and within minutes a neighbor brought us a lantern. It was great not to have to pack any beach chairs. All kitchen essentials were supplied. We love our coffee so the dual keurig was fantastic. One block to the beach access point. The bathroom could use some shelving. The ceiling fans need to be cleaned along with bathroom vent. The AC filters need to be changed.

This was one of the best stays we have had in Surfside. The house was perfect for our week getaway and we loved having the dogs with us. Ashley was very responsive every time we had to contact her. The house is in a great neighborhood with just a short walk to the beach. We are hoping to stay at this house again, it was so good!!

We were very happy with our stay at the Half Shell! The house is exactly as pictured and was perfect for myself, my boyfriend, our 21 month old, and our small dog. The street was quiet and seemed to have quite a few local residents on it. The walk to the beach was quick and easy. But I did notice that the Surfside beach websites rules are outdated compared to the rules listed on a board outside of the beach itself. We brought a tent we had planned to use on the beach (Surfside beach website states they’re allowed) but once we got out to the beach entrance, we were surprised to see a sign stating no tents were allowed. No big deal though. No dogs are allowed on the beach during summer months either which surprised me. Also wanted to add that the go cart water park advertised as being at the end of the street is now permanently closed which was a little disappointing but again, not a big deal at all. The house had pretty much everything we needed and was very clean. This was the first time I’ve stayed somewhere near the beach and not seen a single water bug! It truly was our home away from home while we were there and we’d definitely stay here again!

While this was an older home, the decor was appropriate and neat. The kitchen and bathroom were updated and very nice. There were TVs in the living area and both bedrooms, all equipped with ROKU.

We had a great stay! House was just as advertised - super easy check in. House had everything we need. The deck off the back gets some sun during the day. House was super clean, beds were comfortable and what a fab location just a block from the beach. Great area to stay and dog walk. Was our first visit to Surfside Beach. We’ll definitely be back.

We really enjoyed our stay in Surfside Beach. Found a great dog park for our fur babies which, they loved going to. The location to the beach was great as was the grocery stores and restaurants. Hopefully we’ll get back there next year.

I stayed at The Half Shell with my friend and our dogs. The house is beautiful, very clean, a block from the beach and had everything we needed. Both bedrooms were comfortable and fresh. The neighbors were friendly when we saw them, there was plenty of parking for two cars and the area was very pleasant and felt safe. I’m sure we will be back, it was a most enjoyable and relaxing stay.

I loved the location of this property. Even though the propery owners said that there were beach chairs etc. They were all rusted and no use at all. They had strict rules to abide by and I appreciate that but the house was not super clean at least not to my standards. There is some rotting wood around. We also were unaware that the door to the back deck is through a bedroom. The mattress toppers are not comfortable. You definitely cannot do a lot of cooking. The stove is tiny and old fashioned. There is no fenced area for your dog and this was a turn off for us. All this being said if you are looking for a place to sleep this might be for you. Surfside beach is fabulous and we love it there.

We loved this spot. Very clean and had everything we needed, including beach chairs which came in handy as we forgot ours. 3 minute golf cart ride to the Sursfide beach bars, 8 minute golf cart ride to Garden City Pier/Sam’s Corner area. We try to get down there once a summer and will definitely look into staying at The Half Shell again.
