Situated in Balboa Island, this attractive condo for $386 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. Beautiful, light-filled Balboa Island apartment available for nightly, weekly, or monthly stays. - - PLEASE read entire description for restrictions on nightly stays and how far out we are booking apartment at this time - - This one bedroom, one bath apartment is approximately 550 square feet in size and features a second "mini-room" with a built-in twin bed (167" long x 37" wide with built-in twin bed). Wonderfully light and open, it is located just five homes in from South Bayfront and Newport Harbor, and just one block to the island's shops and restaurants. Sophisticated but cozy décor with slip-covered sofa and chairs, natural wood pieces and pretty artwork. Located behind the main house, it has no common, living-space walls with the front house. Upgrades include: beautiful Caeserstone countertops in kitchen and bathroom; all new bathroom with white-tiled shower; outdoor deck with patio furniture and umbrella; private washer and dryer; one queen bed, one twin bed; den with open beamed ceiling. Full kitchen with dishwasher, newer gas range, refrigerator, all small appliances and cookware. Freshly painted white walls; new hardwood laminate floors in bedroom and mini-room; tile everywhere else. A perfect getaway for a few nights or a week, or for interim housing. Dear Guests - because of the patio's close proximity with the front house's master bedroom windows, we ask that you not play music or have late-night conversation on the patio. A few things to note: - Once you've booked the apartment, we will ask you to send us a copy of each adult's driver's license who will be staying at the property and for you to sign our Short-term Lodging Agreement. - For stays longer than one week, we require a completed rental application and reserve the right to run credit. - During the summer, we prefer to rent for a minimum of five nights. - We accept shorter stays of three to four nights, however, they cannot be reserved more than three weeks in advance. We are currently booking stays through August 15, 2024. - On-site parking is not available. Street parking only. Supplies Provided: three rolls of toilet paper, one roll of paper towels, beach towels, all lines and bath towels. Basic condiments in kitchen. City of Newport Beach Lodging Permit #UTOT0562

The apartment was perfect for my stay. The bed in The master bedroom is very comfortable. The kitchen has all the amenities you need and the living room area is roomy enough if you have two people . I traveled alone on this trip. It’s a half a block from the shopping area on Balboa island and a half a block from the Bay. Fabulous. I would definitely stay there again..

Great location on Marine Avenue, just steps away from Newport Bay. Perfect walk-up apartment for two. The large open patio off the dining area was great for relaxing and enjoying the cool ocean breeze. Parking space in the garage was convenient, as well as the washer/dryer. Neighborhood is quiet at night, but jets taking off from nearby John Wayne Airport fly over the island and are noisy at times. My husband and I always enjoy staying on Balboa Island. It hold many memories for us of family vacations since the 1950’s.

Nice apartment..perfect for 2 plus a little one…second floor walk up so not good for anyone with mobility concerns - apartment patio deck is right next to master of the front house…so we had to really be quiet when talking out there…kitchen very well equipped…perfect location on the island….overall great stay! Would stay again…

Father & teen son LOVED their stay. While finding the unit was a bit confusing in the dark, they very much enjoyed their visit. Location and island was perfect!

This was a perfect place for our friends who were visiting from France. They loved staying near the shops and restaurants and the small-town feel that Balboa Island provides.
The unit was delightful and comfortable. Sharon did a fantastic job of making sure that everything was in place - and followed up during the stay. We will definitely look for this unit next time.

Our visit on Balboa Island could not have been better. Sharon was a wonderful host, making us feel welcome on arrival. The apartment is perfect for a couple, very private and has everything you would need. The location was best on the island, right up the street from all the shops and restaurants but far enough away to be quiet. Parking was easy too. We can’t wait to come back!

Sharon's little cottage is both immaculate and welcoming., offering everything needed for a super comfortable stay. Situated just seconds from the water and the charming main street, it is tucked away from the street in a quiet, private setting. I hope to return again... and again! It's simply perfect!

Beach loft ... Great for 2 adults and maybe a child. We arrived the final night of the boat parade and there were no parking spaces to be found. I checked in with owner and we were able to share the garage with the front house renters. That night after walking the perimeter of the island to see all the lights and decoration there was a fabulous fireworks show that we could see perfectly from the terrace. I love getting up in the dark and walking the dog when there are no cars and people . The Island shops are fun and I was able to get several last minute gifts. the loft is in a perfect location ... close to beach, restaurants and shops. The kitchen is well stocked. Great time!

This property was exactly what we were looking for! We wanted something quaint and charming for just my husband and I and one of our adult kids. It was perfect! It was clean and decorated nicely. The kitchen had everything we needed. The outdoor patio was amazing for relaxing with our morning coffee and evening glass of wine. Sharon, the owner, was so accommodating and available for any and all questions. Just a stress free experience. We had an incredible time! We highly reccommend!

With just steps to the waterfront we can get our walk in by spinning around the circumference of the island, pick up take out in a flash, can sit down at Wilma’s in two minutes from the Cottage, BBQ some salmon downstairs, or we just walk to the ferry to enjoy the Newport Landing Happy Hour. We drove five minutes to Pacific Electric Boat rental for a Duffy Boat ride in first class boats or we like to drive to Jon’s Fish at Dana Point Harbor for the best sea bass we’ve ever had on their patio. The Cottage is open airy and bright and the owner is super helpful. Enjoy!

This cottage was in a perfect location, walking distance to everything. It was spotlessly clean and had everything you could need to feel comfortable and right at home. It was very peaceful and quiet at night. We really appreciated being able to park our car in the garage because parking spaces are hard to find on Balboa Island. We had a wonderful stay and can’t wait to go back.

Great location for a quaint getaway in a unique “Americana” town! Easy walking distance to shops, good food, bike rentals, and a great little market less that a block away. Garage access was appreciated due to limited parking and the cottage looked just like the pictures.

The cottage was an awesome place to stay. There was the perfect amount of space for the three of us. We were walking distance to a lot of restaurants and other activities. Our son enjoyed the close proximity to balboa bars and cookies. The only problem was I wish we could stay longer.

We spent 2 weeks in this cozy apartment. It lived up to the positive descriptions left by other renters. We were thrilled. The space is well-decorated and cozy, the kitchen is perfect, there are lots of fresh white towels, the wifi and cable tv work seamlessly. The small roof-deck patio really made the entire experience for us -- a great place to read and have coffee in the morning, while waiting for the marine layer to burn off, or have a drink in the evening. If you've stayed the island before, you know that while it is a relaxing environment, the houses and apartments exist in close quarters and sound travels -- so it can be a little like living in a European village or city. If the house in front is being occupied by a big loud family, it could be a noisy location. In the case of this apartment, our only problem was the giant SUV owned by the family renting in front -- with whom we were sharing the garage. After sweating to get the car to fit in the tight space, we opted to just park on the street -- and it wasn't a problem at all. Parking permits are not required on the island and there's just a span of four hours on Monday morning when we had to move to another street because of street-sweeping. This was only a minor inconvenience. All in all, this place is a gem and we hope to stay there again.
