Great hotel with basic ambiance

The hotel is nice with the pool and patio for resting, the view over the beach, harbour and town is great. Our renovated room had a fresh bathroom and the room was basic and clean. The location is great even if not on top of the beach or immediate on main street.

A little paradise

The renovated part of the hotel is really perfect, the room is large and comfortable. The pool is beautiful, with a superb view of the sea. The family who runs the hotel is very welcoming, attentive and available. They helped us a lot when our ferry was cancelled. A real pleasure to stay in this hotel at 2min walk from the village.

Superb

Very comfortable room, fantastic views over looking pool and sea, and very close to all bars and restaurants. Very friendly and helpful staff - even getting us to the boat 6.30 with all our luggage,. Thank you.

Not much really, will definitely return at some stage.

Retro Greek hotel in evey sense of the word.

A hob abd kettle in room but no plates, cups cutlery etc readily available.

Beautiful stay!

Clean, fresh, new, amazing view from porch. The swimming pool was so relaxing and nice to jump into after a day on the beach, super-value. We could borrow cutlery etc from the kitchen, and the best thing you just handed it back and they cleaned it. The manager was very attentive and helpful, and quickly solved anything help we needed.

Nothing at all to complain on the hotel!

perfecte locatie

The loungebeds at the pool were lovely and the location is perfect! Also a very friendly host. Free shuttle from and to the port which was very convenient.

Beds were very hard and uncomfortable, we didn’t really sleep well for the 4 nights we stayed. Room was pretty outdated and furniture very big for the room which caused lack of space to move and multiple bruises. Pool was extremely cold, but maybe because of the wind?

Beautiful hotel, great location overlooking the sea. Amazing value for money !

The view from the room was amazing. Pool and pool area were excellent with plenty of nice sun loungers. Matina, the owner was lovely and was very helpful. Hopefully, I will return again one day.

Overpriced hotel

The staff is very kind, the view of the hotel is great and the location is perfect.

For the kind of room we had, it is an overpriced hotel. Hot water took ages and wifi in the room is almost non-existent.

Dishonest staff, insects in clothes, more expensive than the island’s resort

I left my suitcases in the room (a room charging a rate of 130€/night, expensive for Greek standards, and exorbitant for Koufonisi standards) at 3:00 pm. I returned at 6:00pm to shower. At 6:15pm, I cordially informed the staff that there were insects inside my suitcases and my girlfriends make up bag. There were dead bugs across the floor (implying that the hotel staff had used some pesticide very recently in the bedroom), as well as bugs inside three of my dress shirts. I politely told the receptionist that I requested my money back in full in light of this, as I wished to stay another hotel. She did not object, and showed my another room. We came to an understanding that if I preferred this other substitute room I would stay there, else, my money would be returned, and I would stay in another hotel. We seemed to agree that if I could find other accommodation at the island, I would do so, and have my stay refunded (considering the damage to my property, the unsanitary standards, and the minimal time I had spent in the hotel). Upon booking a room at a far nicer - yet less expensive - hotel, I returned to Atlantida. The same member of staff informed me that no money would be returned to me; she claimed that she had offered me another room, I refused, and simply left the hotel. She claimed that the hotel had not forced me out, I had done so voluntarily, and as such, I was entitled to no money. We maintained a civil exchange, as I did not wish to argue. I offered the hotel to pay for one night, provided they refunded the second night. Despite having only been in the room for 15 minutes during which time my items were damaged, and despite having been promised a refund, the staff even refused this offer for a lower rate. I pointed out that the hotel was empty, and as such I had not taken business away from them - there were plenty of other rooms where other clients could stay, it was not as if I had robbed the hotel business.
