This was our second stay at Avue Retreat. We had another comfortable stay and the kitchen was very well equipped with everything we needed. We particularly enjoyed sitting on the deck enjoying the mountain views. The pub across the road was another plus!

This was an ideal house for us as two couples - two bathrooms and plenty of space. The location in Halls Gap was convenient to see all the major sites and walks of the northern Grampians, although you'll probably want a car (or bike) to get to the shops.

Perfect location not too far from town centre. Great having the pub across the road for a couple of meals. Loved waking up to see the rocky mountains. Quiet for kids to go to bed and sleeping. Great BBQ area. We did lose internet but we did cope probably wished I'd brought a few more DVDs with us but only because we don't watch a lot of normal TV.

We really enjoyed staying here. Love how big the master bedroom was so portacot could fit in. There was a high chair which made it convenient for little one. Such a great place to stay and only a min walk to the pub. Will definitely come back.

Internal stairs dangerous for older people. We were not pre informed about this. Electric blankets and lighter quilts would be good. Combination lock very hard to line up - needs replacement. But overall a wonderful set up.

Halls Gap is a great place; staying at this house added to the experience. It was clean, comfortable and well-appointed. If you are up to walking or biking into town, it is a short distance away. The Halls Gap Hotel is just across the road, serves excellent meals, and has a bottle shop. The house has tons of room and is well laid out. Listening to the birds, watching an emu walk across the lawn, and then waking up to kangaroos in the yard added to our great stay. I'd stay there again!

Lovely location and gorgeous views. Everything we could have needed ( and more). Enjoyed a walk to the pinnacle first day and around lake fyans second day and avoided getting wet both days! Would happily stay again. Our overseas guests were thrilled with the master bedroom.

We loved staying here. Probably one of the best VRBO rentals ever. Very clean spacious house with a well equipped kitchen and comfy beds. We loved sitting on the veranda watching the birds. Highly recommend staying here.

A return trip to this perfect property. Everything you need: clean, warm and comfy. Enjoyed a few beers on the deck watching the sun sink behind the hills, wonderful! Emus and roos and a tawny frogmouth visits us. Very special place.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful, well- equipped home. Great location for access either directly to, or an easy drive to all the local walks. Sensational views from the lovely deck area and the very spacious living area. Highly recommend and would happily stay here again.

Avue Retreat is stunning! Only a short walk into Halls Gap, it is thoughtfully appointed and very comfortable. My family and I had an amazing stay at this stunning, conveniently located property! Directly across from the pub and in walking distance from the main strip of shops, this house has already sold us. The stunning location and beautifully layout and decor just topped it off for us. Fully furnished, roomy and very comfortable couch and beds. We would definitely recommend!
