Exceptional
location location location! lovely spot on the island! the staff set up a great breakfast, always smiling and helpful. Desiree ran a tight ship, but was so friendly and accommodating. She let us stay after checkout and use chairs and hang out on porch till our ferry time. we will be back!

The breakfast was wonderful and plentiful and afternoon snacks and wine were great. The tables and chairs outside were very clean. The location was great with a wonderful views. The staff was very pleasant and helpful.
The room was small. The beach area was close and easy to get to but it had a lot of seaweed.

Felt so lucky to have found this place!
JoAnn was so welcoming and made us feel like family. The location was unbeatable, the amenities were great and we really appreciated the continued use of the facilities after check out. It allowed us to spend our last day kayaking and shower before the last ferry.
Our room had light coming in at night. Something to put over the door would be helpful.

Wonderful location with a fantastic breakfast and afternoon wine.
Loved the afternoon wine and breakfast was wonderfully delicious!
The scaffolding outside our window and how thin the walls were with our neighbors being a bit too loud at night when trying to sleep.

Great location.
The location is outstanding. The deck has a commanding view of the Cresent Beach. It is just at the edge of town so is quite close to most restaurants and not far from shops.
For a hospitality accommodation, the summer manager was neither hospitable nor accommodating. She gave the impression that answering my questions and accommodating my requests were taking her away from what she really needed to do. That changed when the winter manager, who was both hospitable and accommodating, came on duty. Unfortunately, the winter manager didn't start until the last day of my stay and the negative impression had been made. They didn't seem to have thought through what people who were unfamiliar with the island would need to know, like where to find services, their hours of operation, and the particularities of the place. For example, they had a list of restaurants and the contact details but did not have their menus. For those of us who leave our laptops at home to "unplug" when going on vacation, not having physical menus to view made it problematic to select the right place to get food from and what to order. They made no mention of the dune replenishment work locals were doing along the road at Cresent Beach right by the inn. The locals, who had not put up signage or fencing to guide unwitting visitors away from the dunes they had planted with beach grass, were vocal and not at all polite in their admonishments of transgressors. It would have been good for all for the inn to have advised their guests. There was no check-in pack with a listing of important island facts like where the grocery store is (very near the inn) and what its hours of operation are (closes at 6). Being hospitable includes thinking ahead for your guests and what their needs will be. The property could improve in that area.
