The parador is an easy walk into the little village of Limpias. There is a easy walk along the broad walk & a couple of local cafes with good coffee & home made tortillas. The rooms were to parador standard & had a nice aspect overlooking the trees out to the mountains.
The pool is not as portrayed in this photo. It is away from the main building a walk down the hill with no bar or food access. We chose this parador for the pool as it was going to be a hot weekend & on arrival were told it will close on Saturday even though Sunday was going to be 35c. Not so friendly female staff at front desk but staff in dining room were really lovely.

Wonderful old building and very friendly and helpful staff. We particularly enjoyed the facilities - great swimming pool and padel court.

Sadly I left my prescription glasses behind at the reception desk when registering (my fault) and they were handed to a different client (very unexpected and unfortunate)

The Serving STAFF ( Frida & Alicia) was the most fantastic in our 3 month travels through Spain.
The bath shower was exceptional.
Parking was not optimal. Garage parking should have been complimentary for guests. Was not aware of having to make a parking reservation.

The parador is an historic building with a lot of charm. The gardens are interesting and there are plenty of walks. But the size of the building is intimidating and the hotel with few guests is « cold » and sad.
The restaurant has style but the dishes are pure-prepared and simply re-heated. Better to have more simple dishes prepared onsite.

remote in small village. very old and lovely staff
could have had phone chargers in bedroom. Swimming pool not in use and weather was wonderful which is a shame. looking forward to relaxing by it.

Beautiful setting and building. Very clean and spacious rooms
We chose this parador because it has an indoor and outdoor swimming pool but neither of them were open and looked as if they had been closed for some time .
Breakfast was good but quite expensive and there was no alternative until snack bar opened at 11am

Good breakfast, great location, close to the village. Lovely rooms and comfortable.
High price, especially for the food, It sounded like there was a horse walking about upstairs most of the evening and morning. Ruined it.

Breakfast not as good as in other paradors . Poor selection of fruit and breads . However, cooked to order hot food much appreciated.

The entire experience was up to expectations having stayed in a Paradore before. It was so good that we cancelled our next spa hotel and booked into another Paradore in Cantabria for the remainder of our stay in spain. This equaled or even surpassed the first paradore.
It would be excellent if coffee making facilities were included in the room.

spacious grand building with very pleasant atmosphere and great customer service from all the staff. restaurant offering wouldn’t suit all tastes but the seafront bars and restaurants are only a 10 minute drive away. Also very convenient for the ferries
