The concept and interior are very well considered. It has a very classy feel inside and also the rooms are beautifully furnished. The staff was exceptionally nice. We received a room upgrade as our room didn’t meet our expectations/ the photos from booking. Also we noticed that all service staff where very friendly and accommodating. We noticed especially a young male waiter who told us about the wines he tastes with his father and twin brother- give him our compliment if you know who we’re referring to.

That there are so many external guests trying to get to the rooftop bar and the fact that as a hotel guest you can’t reserve a table up there and have to be lucky to find seating. It was also constantly cramped by the elevator, so we always took the stairs to get to our room. There’s also a bouncer at the entrance towards evening hours where people stand in a long queue trying to get to the restaurant or rooftop bar which feels a bit strange when you’re a guest and just want to sit and enjoy your dinner. Also be aware that this hotel is probably on the worst partying street in all of Gothenburg. Avenyn is plastered with tacky clubs, pubs and it’s absolutely packed in the evening and plastered with trash the morning after. You will also hear that at night, especially if you have a room facing the back courtyard where an exit from a nightclub seems to be. We heard some people vomiting, and yelling at each other. Bring good earplugs!

The hotel is central, with small but well equipped rooms, the reception staff were lovely and very welcoming.

The boom boom boom coming from the nightclub that didn't stop all night (it was a Friday). Not the hotel's fault but worth being aware of. Breakfast wasn't the best, very tired-looking food which was a shame.

The interior decor was nice

The room was way too small, it almost didn’t fit the luggage. The bed occupies like the 90% of the room, the only space left was 15 cm around it to move around.

Nice people at check in

Music in restaurant and hotel way too loud. Room rate overpriced as beds and furniture seem to be very old and could use a refit. We should have made a reservation for the restaurant, our mistake. There was no option for food, not even at the bar .

Breakfast was nothing special, typical offerings for Sweden. service from the registration desk staff was excellent.

Room was small and confined, difficult for two people to manage. Space for clothing, hanging and shelf or drawer space, was inadequate for a multiple day stay.

Being in close proximity to parks, museums, and various transportation options, it made exploring Gothenburg effortlessly convenient. Whether I wanted to visit the train station or catch a flight from the airport, everything was easily accessible.
