Great location...but

- Friendly staff - Excellent location - Handy swivel tv - The room is compact but tidy - Good sized fridge

- Slippery shower tiles, almost fell so I had to stand on a floor towel to shower - Unpleasant ordour from drain - Curtains curl on the edges and don't reach the floor so it was difficult to sleep for the two nights I was there as the room has too much light streaming in.

Good location

The location is great. The apartment was nice.

The bathroom was really bad. Very dated and after having a shower the whole bathroom is wet. Not quite convenient when you want to go to the toilets and the floor is soaked.

Fairly large room with many facilities that made the guest self sufficient. Easy walk to many attractions or use of trams just outside the building. Not far from Southern Cross station

Taxi would not take us to railway station this is bad for travellers with multiple bags especially if over 60 even offered more money for ride Taxi drivers are killing your city

Good property, no issues, very clean. 24 hour reception.

Easy process to check in, staff were nice, very clean room, good amenities. Reception is open 24 hours, which was handy. Our room was ready early. Good layout room. No noise or issues with being able to hear other people.

I phoned Oaks before booking to confirm we were able to drop our bags off before check in and ask about parking, they said they had parking on site but the staff member didn't mention it was extra cost and run by an external company. It was $35 for the night IF we didn't take our car out again, which could have been a problem if we were going to a show or dinner and wanted to drive. Luckily we didn't. So on arrival we were advised of this and it was a pretty big extra cost comparative to the price of accommodation for the night. If I had have known I would have made other arrangements or stayed elsewhere. To their credit this wasn't the staff members fault who checked us in but we could have stayed in a more central location for that price. Then when we left it charged us $70 and then chewed up our ticket at the machine before we got to the gate so we didn't even get a receipt to sort it out. Carpark isn't run by Oaks Hotels but it was a frustrating experience that could have been completely avoided.

Great location and room size was good.

Shower screen had stains and water sprays everywhere when having a shower. Floors are covered in water and had to wipe up with towels. Sinks are very small, but not a massive issue.

Room smelled like smoke, especially near the sink and rubbish bin but I could still smell it when on the bed. Stain on the top sheet so I remade the bed with the stain on the other side Tiles were cracked & uneven in the bathroom near the door. It was a slip hazard. Microwave too high for me to remove the hot food safely.

A quick city trip with plenty of space.

The room was very spacious. Queen size bed with a large living space and multiple windows looking out to the street. Since it was winter it was nice to have a reverse cycle heater that I could easily adjust to match my comfort levels.

The space between the bed and the bathroom was very tight. I am a thin person so it was ok but if you were larger or have mobility issue this would not work for you. In comparison to the bathroom it was very small. Also there is a cupboard over the toilet... make sure the lid is closed on the toilet before opening.

Broke and wasted money On trash

Close to everything in City

I'm disgusted the 2nd time of a bad experience. Marlla rang me up and apologies for last experience so I decided to give it another go. First room was freezing no acon working. No phone to reception. I got another room but I wanted a balcony. The Room was on the noisy side and filthy grime and mold. Holes and cracks in power sockets. This is a WHS to happen. Wasted 338.00 for 2 night's and now broke. Never will I go to your hotel again. I should have stuck with room 818 as at least that had warmth. Really disappointed. Creepy men following me to My Room. Women be careful and put latch on door

location was good and staff very friendly

The Executive suite was VERY small especially for the price. The bathroom wasn’t cleaned and the soap holder was hanging off. There was no milk and balcony had no table or chairs. All in all for the price there are a lot better options out there.

Very comfy, and the staff was hands down was amazing and always answering every question.

The bathroom didn't have a step but other then that I would highly recommend staying there and will be staying there again
