Real hotel Very traditional with excellent service Breakfast was exceptional Room was spotless

Some noise near my window from the kitchen extraction I think Nothing that prevented my good nights sleep

Interior decoration was in keeping with age of building , like going back in time! Breakfast as wonderful as was the Badger beer. Staff were friendly.

Bed a little hard but that’s personal preference.

Location was central and close to amenities. Room facilities were great, hot weather there was an air conditioning unit. Shower was great also!

As it seemed to be a busy venue there seemed to be a staff shortage, for breakfast we waited a long while to place our cooked food order. But staff were lovely and friendly and very helpful overall.

We really enjoyed our stay and the staff were lovely - food was great too!

The rooms and the food were great. We were served by a lady called Christine and a young blonde lad at dinner and another amazing lady at breakfast who were absolutely brilliant. Kind and professional.

We went into the bar to get a cocktail, asked the bar person if they would help us take the drinks through to which we were told "you will be ok" we looked at each other and said that's a no then..... Also we ordered coffees the next afternoon, the waitress bought us an extra coffee out. When we said we didnt order it the waitress was a little Kurt. It is a shame as with a little training with the bar staff it could be a perfect stay.

the colour and decoration of the room was very harsh, deep bright green, not at all relaxing. the drinks were very expensive.

Beautiful property with very large stylish rooms. very attentive and friendly staff throughout our stay. Fantastic breakfast too!

Liked everything better than we expected

The Crown is in a great location in Blandford. By the river, with lots of greenery in-between, you can imagine it being a magnet for tourists and locals alike come summer! (and there seemed to be decent room for resident parking, too). The hotel is vast, with various areas to eat and drink, each with a different feel. The bedroom was olde worlde, and given how cold it was outside, it was toasty warm and comfortable. All-in-all, a nice hotel to stop in with no complaints.

Initial service in the evening was slow with limited care and attention. Tried to order food via the QR code, which didn't work. No check-in's once food had been served (no issues BUT I would have asked for a pud & a coffee, if asked!) Breakfast took a while to come out, for a very simple order.

The food and location were lovely.

The room was very cold. Some money was deducted from the bill, but my elderly parents found it quite uncomfortable to be so cold.

Breakfast was great. A well sized portion for my vegan breakkie. The bedroom, room 6 is a beautiful room to stay in. Absolute quality and compliment drinkies too!

Around 1am there were loud dragging noises on the floor above. It went on for over an hour. Quite annoying not sure if it were ghosts or guests above!
