Correct pour la proximité

En face du train et à pied du port. Petite chambre correct. Un ascenseur est disponible. Les repas sont offerts à un prix très raisonnable

La douche…. Le pommeau ne tient pas donc impossible de l’aisser l’eau coule sur moi, je devais le tenir. Il y a un marche et j’ai souvent failli tomber!

Le personnel est aux petits soins : malgré une erreur de réservation de notre part, l’équipe s’est démenée pour nous trouver 2 chambres proches; avec patience et sourires. merci !!

Ascenseur un peu petit et chambre un peu bruyantes malgré le double vitrage.

La posizione e la cortesia della ragazza della reception.

La camera un po' troppo piccola rispetto a quella indicata nella mia scelta dal sito di Booking, comunque una piccola cosa per una sola notte.

Great location - literally the first hotel you see as you exit the train station. Walking distance made it extremely easy to go to and from the train station even with luggage

Very good base for the cinque terre and a great place to stay as a solo traveller

The room was as stated, clean room, easy check in and check out and perfect for a solo traveller. Used this as a base for the cinque terre. The hotel is just opposite the station which makes it very easy to do but also shops and restaurants are very close by.

Hotel close to the station ideal for a Cinque Terre trip

The staff was very nice, and the breakfast was very good. We loved the pancakes. The hotel is very close to the train station which makes it perfect for a Cinque Terre trip. It was also close to the center with many restaurant options.

There was no free parking nearby, and the hotel was located in a timed parking area which was not useful to park the whole day. No place to load or unload our luggage as it's located by a very busy main street. The staff recommended us a free parking place, almost 15 min walk, but didn't mention the parking by the station (1 min walk), although we didn't mind paying.

Superb

Breakfast is acceptable but doesn't expect scrambled eggs or omelets, it is more locally customized. The location is excellent right across from La Sparzia train station easy to get to. Room was spacious.

Excellent location for touring region

the location is perfect for the main railway station making it very handy for various regional day trips staff very helpful and friendly

The location was good Right opposite the train station. Close to the historic centre Room had a balcony and was spacious

There was only 1 chair so not possible to sit on the balcony or in the room. We had to sit on the bed The third bed had a shelf over the top of it so my son banged his head. It wasn't a proper bed Lift is tiny and can't fit luggage so everyone was climbing 4 flights with all the bags.

Good Property Opposite the La Spezia station

Right opposite the La Spezia station. Pretty decent property and well worth the money you're paying for. Staff is helpful and guides you with the Cinque Terre tickets if needed

Good experience in La Spezia

Excellent location, right across from the train station and close to the city centre. My single Room was soundproofed, did not hear a sound from the inside and thus managed to sleep deeply. Staff very kind, friendly and helpful. Bed was comfortable, toilet and shower very clean. Room also had air conditioning, small fridge, hair drier and TV!

Old but clean and convenient hotel few steps away from the train station

Amazing staff that despite the external unfriendliness went above and beyond to answer the questions and make you feel in the hotel like at home. Convenient location next to train station. If you’re lucky to get the room that faces courtyard, it’s going to be super silent. Very clean rooms.

The hotel is stuck in 1960s and could be modernized, but if you’re ok with the outdated design, you won’t find many other reasons to complain.

Manageable cheap stay, but rooms dirty and loud

Great location, bargain price

The room hadn't been cleaned properly in a long time. Dust on tables, broken lamp, wifi cards from previous people staying there and the road next to rhe room was very loud late into might. Overall in need of renovations.

An okay stay

Excellent location by the train station was useful for visiting Cinque Terre. Elevator, good A/C.

Hotel felt quite dated. Leaving keys at front desk each time was a minor hassle.

excellent location - helpful staff

in my two weeks travelling Italy , i found this to be the first hotel really catering to solo travelers. the room was the perfect size for me. While basic, it was comfortable and had everything I needed. The staff were very efficient and friendly. When you check in they have a QR code which you can scan and download a document with all the information you will need on train schedules and the different towns within the Cinque Terre . This was so helpful! The absolute best thing has to be the location of the hotel. Get out on the La Spezia Centrale train station, head straight ( slightly left ) to a glass enclosed structure with a lift. Take the lift/ or stairs down and exit the street below. the hotel is right opposite the street. Barely 5 minutes. So convenient! I definitely recommend this hotel and will book it again if i ever come back.

Great value for money, friendly staff

The location is right across the narrow road from La Spezia train station. (The photo of the hotel is taken from the train station). Owners seem to be a family, everything was nice, let us store our luggage while we waited for a room, and have us free breakfast (which has a really good selection of pastries, tea, meats, bread, fruit). Went in the last week of August so for the price (€140 for 2 people) including breakfast, air con, toiletries and a mini fridge, even a seeing kit, compared to other places and the location, is very good! Even has a lift which a lot of hotels in Italy don't seem to have!

Very convenient and comfortable basic hotel for daily trips into the Cinque Terre.

The location was great, right in front of the train station as La Spezia was our base for exploring the Cinque Terre. The property is very, very basic but clean and comfortable.

While booking there was no option to prepay or we would have. However our credit card number was taken for reserving. While we were on our trip we were notified by the Bank of activity on our card. We panicked and were on the verge of cancelling our card (which would have ruined our remaining trip as we needed it), when we found out that Hotel Mary had charged us for our stay a couple of days in advance. This act is perfectly acceptable—however it could have been stated at the time of booking or mentioned on the booking details. I found this to be very unprofessional and something which caused a panic in our trip with frantic calls back home to trace the mysterious transaction. All of this could simply have been avoided with writing this down in the booking.com information, which still states “payment to be made at the hotel”.

Best option to visit Cinque terre! Literally in front of the train station! TOTALLY RECOMMEND!

Staff was very helpful, friendly and caring, location was excellent, the room was exactly what I expected, bed was very comfortable. Tip: buy the Cinque terre ticket at the station and stay at Hotel Mary, you'll be in Cinque terre in 15 minutes.

Nothing I can think of. It's not luxury but everything works and is very practical.
