Highly Recommend

Overall, would recommend staying at Il Nido! NOTE: Book a room on the 2nd or 3rd floor- better view! We had a lovely balcony the looked out onto the ocean. You are close to the town, quick 10 minute walk, right on the main road (which was not loud at all). The rooms are spacious, and are all decorated a little different. Very quaint and the breakfast here was our favorite! The server made sure we had fresh coffee, and even scrambled some eggs for us when asked. Breakfast is included. The wifi is good. they have parking for your car! Overall, a great experience!

When we were first shown our room, we were given one on the first floor, I think room #2, ... the room was very smelly (smelled like it was musty/ water had been sitting in our room). We brought it up to the older man at the front desk, who after explaining our concern, was able to accommodate us to a VERY clean and lovely room on the second floor instead. Also, when we checked in around 8pm, we walked into the older gentleman behind the desk yelling at another employee very loudly, they were visibly very upset about something; not the best first impression for a guest! All other employee interactions were lovely, the woman at the front desk in the morning gave us a lot of good information about things to do in amalfi, and was very helpful. No other negatives. Loved our stay here!

Breakfast choices could be improved, but it’s quite sufficient to start the day.

Breathtaking views & amazing breakfast

Location was excellent! Super easy to access with a bus - no need to walk up any stairs. Incredible view from our balcony and breakfast dining room. Breakfast was the highlight of our stay!

if you are looking for a local experience with very generous and friendly staff this is your hotel to go to. this place offers a spectacular view of Amalfi coast and a nice 15 min walk to center

not the property but DO NOT TRAVEL by bus around the southern island it is an absolute chaos… I highly recommending RENT A CAR the drive is mesmerizing and you’ll really enjoy it

Highly recommendable.

The hotel is a bit like a place fallen out of time. Well maintained and clean. Design and interior remind of the early 20th Century. Great view from the balcony. Best breakfast selection ever we had in Kampania.

Best Hospitality in Italy! It feels like home!

They really take good care of their guests and are very polite, courteous and helpful! The property is located at a 12 min walk from the Amalfi bus stand and port but the views of the sea are breathtaking from the property. It’s a family run place and they assist you with whatever you need. It is not a 5 star hence 5 star amenities can’t be expected but if you are looking for great hosts, great location and good breakfast spread with good spacious rooms, stay here once! Cherry on the cake is their library. It’s like a vintage luxury hotel that just offers you peace and serenity! Special mention to Francesca and Anna!

loved it & recommend it

especially the view - it was breathtaking! and our room was really clean - gorgeous! i am very picky, so u guys did a great job :) also a very handsome staff, was a pleasure to stay.

the sheet of the bed was really thin, so i got little cold in these november nights - may some thicker duvets would be nice for the winter days

Outstanding location with a million dollar sea views, historical property with exceptional breakfast , very clean, friendly staff, very memorable stay

No tea/ coffee facilities in the room, hard bed , steep walk from town to reach the property along busy Amalfi drive

Good value but probably would have stayed a bit closer to Amalfi town

This place has an amazing view and I also loved their breakfast (big variety of sweet and savory foods).

It was a bit farther away from town than I though when originally booking. It takes about 15 minutes at least to get to town and just be aware that there are a lot of steps and going back is an uphill battle.

Blissful Classic Italian Charm

A 10 minute walk into the town was worth the peaceful surroundings of the hotel and the stunning panoramic view from our terrace! The team here are absolutely lovely, always helpful with a smile. The hotel has classic Italian charm and features. Clean and quiet. Would recommend and stay again.

Loved everything about Il Nido!

One of the best stays ever. The property was beautiful, clean and the views were great. the most important part was that the staff was so helpful. We felt like we were stauing at home. My mother got a sprained ankle and the staff helped so much and gave us ice packs. we really appreciate the hospitality and kindness. Highly recommended hotel.

An Almalfi Gem!

Very clean and beautifully appointed Hotel with great views from our balcony. Friendly and helpful staff.

No lift to levels 3 and 4 however not a massive issue.

Excellent hotel

The hotel and the room has a great view, delicious breakfast, very close to city center(8-10 min by walking), if you are travelling with car they offer you a free parking space. Staff was very helpful. We enjoyed it very much.

Exceptional

The location at first was a little disappointing, but after visiting the center of town the quiet location with ocean views seemed great. Walk back might be a killer up hill, so ask staff how to catch the bus for E1.50. (Parking in centro runs around E5/hr). The buffet breakfast was fine, fresh fruits excellent. We stayed in the basic economy rooms on 2nd floor and they were fine. Slightly fancier rooms are on third floor. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Parking is convenient and you will be glad there is an elevator when checking in.
