Breakfast was exceptional ; there was a wide range on offer including fresh fruit and pastries. The breakfast room was apparently not the usual room as that was being refurbished ,- but it was a perfectly pleasant space.
The bedroom was large and very comfortable with good views.
Staff were exceptional. Helpful, friendly and clearly good at their jobs.

1980s style and very nice interior arhitecture are distincitive. Breakfast is one of the best I have ever had in an affordable 5*. The heated outdoor pool is nice to get some morning energy or relax after working hours.

Rooms were very comfortable and staff very attentive. I had an accident and couldn't walk properly and they were very helpful durring my whole stay. Definitely will come back.
I don't have much to complain about the hotel because I had very limited mobility during my whole stay.

great location. beautiful area. we had a room with a view if the park. the staff was amazing, friendly and helpful. we we’re celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary with a month in Spain and when I made all the plans I informed all hotels. the manager of the Melia Bilbao was the only one to acknowledge it and sent up a bottle of Perseco. Adama at the front desk was a gem as well!

nice lobby and location but after that there wasn’t much to like about the property
our room had a dirty pillow on the bed, the room and bedroom smelled like urine, when we said it to the front desk they just came up and sprayed airfresher in the room and didn’t clean it, fold our bed had dust on the back and was not suitable for an adult, also not comfortable ! dirty carpet in the lobby ! breakfast wasn’t fresh L, stale donuts and pastries. some of the staff were rude and quite abrupt

good location- close to the bus station we arrived at and also an easy taxi ride to the airport-. a tram stop close by giving access into old town bilbao .
our room had a balcony on the top floor which gave us a great view of bilbao and the football stadium.
shower was excellent. only stayed one night so didn’t use the pool / bar or restaurant which all looked good.
nice hotel but feels like it needs a little touch up . no easy access plugs by the bed to charge phones

The bed was bad. Breakfast also bad. Food was not fresh.

Some parts of the Hotel need refurbishing , scratched and broken wood on doors and furniture .Table and chairs on bedroom terrace were in poor condition as were the terrace walls .
The corridor carpet and colour of the walls is not good .

the main door of the rooms are very loud...not possible to close the doors quite!
No german TV,
scrambled egges are too soft!
Garage is very expensive!
