Lovely break with friend

Excellent location, friendly staff.

Disappointing that the outside pool was closed, when booked it did not mention that it was seasonal. Hotel is in need of renovation looks very tired.

We absolutely loved our stay at The Imperial. Our only issue was that we couldn't stay longer!

Very comfortable large bed, well laid out and a spacious room. Very clean and tidy, loved the large window and balcony. Brilliant view of the sea. Very quiet and peaceful. Very helpful, friendly and professional staff.

The wind was fierce so forced to stay indoors

Huge and lots to explore

Dust on the light fittings and on the hangers in the wardrobe. The room must not have been used in a while

Disappointing

Lovely sea view.

When you book a spa hotel you expect to be able to use spa, swimming pool and jacuzzi out of use. I would have liked to be informed about this prior to arrival so I could cancel and book alternative spa hotel, reason for booking this hotel was the spa. Waited 30 minutes in queue to check in.Being charged for parking on hotel grounds.

Room 403 Bed Bugs

Nice hotel history

My wife and I stayed 1 night in room 403 and when we woke the morning of check out we were very itchy and uncomfortable. We believe we were bitten all over by bed bugs. We have asked the hotel the investigate if bed bugs are in the bed, and the old bedding that is provided but simply covered with clean sheets and duvet and pillow case.

Highly recommend.

Bit wary after many reviews said dated. Maybe to a younger element, i would prefer to say it had character. Very clean and well looked after. Lovely large room with great view. Staff friendly. Only 5-10 minute walk to harbour/town.

Breath taking

The hotel was absolutely stunning, we loved our stay here,the food was amazing the staff so friendly and helpful, the view from our room was beautiful and our room was amazing

Lovely , would stay again

Room very spacious, hotel great location, reception staff amazing and probably the best scones I have tasted and I have had a lot. Good safe car park

Great location, poor value. Better for less elsewhere.

The reception area and breakfast room were very nice. Period correct and great features.

The rooms were probably great in the 90s or 00s. Very dated and poor bathrooms. For £300 per night, to not have a fridge and have cheap sachet drinks is poor. Had better £100 stays.

Good Hotel, needs more work on customer service. Would certainly consider a return visit.

Elegant Hotel, Bed comfortable. hotel clean. Breakfast was good.

Very poor bar service (lunchtime). Sandwiches were door stops, not elegant, more fitting to a greasy spoon. There was not a fridge in the bedroom.

the wonderful staff best made the holiday !

location, view over bay, swimming pool and sun beds, breakfast!! staff!! room was magnificent !

most lifts were out of order, only one for all guests and staff. the walk from lift to room was inclusive of two flights of stairs and three corridors! this was unacceptable, with no sign of repair due. there appeared to be no air conditioning in the hotel and fans were being utilised in the restaurant. health and safety not good S outside hand rails are all worn, rotten and broken with bails protruding. one came off in my hand.

Nice hotel great for dogs and a lovely breakfast

The location was great for access to the harbour bars and shops. The dog friendly room was perfect with easy access form the room straight to the gardens

The bed was a bit small

Huge room, fantastic views

Everything! The sea view room we had was amazing, so big and a huge balcony! Some of the furniture in the rooms was a bit dated but didn't bother us! Only a 5 min walk to the harbour and all the bars/restaurants. Parking on site as well. Will be staying here again and can highly recommend.

The sea view was amazing, very comfortable bed and the pool was nice, although a bit cold.

Carpet in our room definitely needs updated or at least a good clean. I have a 6 month old who was crawling around the room but the carpet looked very dirty so it wasn’t ideal.

The hotel is excellent. We will be returning next year.

The room clean and spacious. The bathroom was updated and renovated. The view was magnificent. The breakfasts were excellent.

the room spoiled our over all stay

old and out dated we definitely prefer somewhere a lot more modern and up to date the room had no vibes and couldn’t create 1 with poor lighting and old decor furniture was poor and I couldn’t remember seeing a tv that old and small bathroom was just old food menu wasn’t for use we ate out was a shame

Careless staff

The location and the view

The receptionists were careless. I use a breathing machine to help me to sleep at night. There was no electric socket next to my bed so I asked the reception to provide me with an extension cable at 3pm and then at 9pm when I went and asked for the update the receptionist told .e they don't have one and I should go to Asda and by one and Asda was open till 10pm(in Good Friday). I had a panic attack and worried how to manage to sleep without my breathing machine. I rushed to Asda to buy one.

Disappointing

Well, nothing to be honest, trying to think, but nothing in particular comes to mind.

Very poor quality furniture in bedroom, we booked a sea view but could only see it if we stood up and looked over the hedge. The private patio was far from private as guests from neighbouring rooms constantly running back and forth to each others rooms. Outside paintwork old and peeling off the walls. Little or no reception on the digital free view TV. £15 each for a buffet breakfast that wasn't worth £10.00. Was able to get a better cheaper breakfast at the Havester down the road, which was served to us with a happy smile. We would never stay again.

Really enjoyed our stay. Hotel is fab, lots of character & the staff were very nice. Seaview too!

Hotel location & the view from our balcony was stunning.

It was all lovely to be honest. The hotel is a little dated, but it's a fab building, and the seaview makes up for it!
