Excellent location, spotlessly clean throughout and the staff could not have been better.

In our opinion the food was not of the same standard as the hotel. Breakfast excellent, good choice and well cooked. The evening meal however was only average and we thought expensive for what it was.

Excellent service, lovely venue and extremely comfortable. Lilly on the front desk went above and beyond for us. As someone who's 6ft4" she upgraded us to a room with a larger bed to compensate for my height which was extremely thoughtful and greatly appreciated!

Room was clean and comfortable. The only issue I had was noise in the morning from the corridor with guests checking out early. The staff were good.

We loved the hotel, the location on the edge of town, our room was very comfortable and the facilities and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Beautiful location as well near the river. We especially appreciated that we could park our car by the hotel and this was the reason we opted to stay with you initially as it was not possible at most of the other hotels in Oxford. The dining quality was excellent - including breakfasts - and we loved the welcoming environment. EVERY member of staff we spoke with was very helpful and friendly. Thank you.

The restaurant dinner/ meals and service was excellent, however we thought the dining room itself was a little uninspiring and more like a conference room. Maybe some more suitable room dividers, table lamps/ lighting could be used to cheer it up? We usually preferred to eat in the bar area when we could, as it was more cheerful.

Great location within easy walk along the river into the city. Lovely buffet breakfast and very nice staff, especially Lily who was exceptional. And our room had a fab few over the fields. De-caf coffee bags in room were also a great idea thankyou.

The location and the room were very nice.

I arrived early and was assured that when my room was ready a member of staff would inform me. Even 30 minutes after the standard check in time, I still hadn't been told or approached by a staff member that it was ready. I tried to ask two separate staff members who made me feel like I was creating extra hassle just asking for my room key. The gentleman that eventually did check to see then told me that my room had been ready for an hour and a half. But nobody had informed me. Very disappointed.

Comfortable in good location

The accommodation did not meet the description set and did not meet our expectations. Staff were not sympathetic to our feedback and somehow felt the problem was the responsibility of Booking . Dom and suggested we should make any reservation directly

The location was good, near the city and a nice walk along the river past all the famous rowing crew clubhouses. The staff were amazing, and super helpful at all times with all requests to fulfilled. Our room was at the back of the building with no traffic noise or environmental noise.

The rooms are a little tired, with the carpet in our room showing holes where previous fittings were. The room was large beyond need but the bathroom was poorly laid out with the world's tiniest shower, which had ill-fitting doors and an overhead shower head that dropped even when not selected. Soundproofing, we could hear conversation and singing children even when other visitors were in their rooms.

Room was very quiet. Bathroom had decent handrails around the toilet. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

I could not use the shower because of the step up into it. Also, no handrails in the shower. I asked for gluten-free cereal at breakfast and was brought a sachet of cornflakes which was 3 months out of date.

I think you could provide much nicer coffee at breakfast. All the breakfast food choices were great, and good quality , but the coffee from the machines really let you down, tasteless and weak. Why not have someone making really good quality coffee in the restaurant - a nice personal touch and much better coffee..?

The beds were so comfortable and rooms were a good size.

£20 parking charge given the price they charge for hotel. Paying £10 to charge electric car when charge points are so slow it would literally take 24hrs plus to charge half a battery. This was very disappointing that I booked and paid for parking on this stay and then because the next night was part of a group booking with parking included I had to pay £10 to charge. Wouldn’t have minded if the chargers were actually giving out some charge. However put car on at 8am and left at 2pm and was lucky if I had gained 10% battery. Given I paid for parking the night before and the company I was with spent a fair amount at the venue the next day and that their chargers are pointless, I think it’s disgusting that they then charged £10 to use them.

+ The location is nice in the sense that it is quiet and there's a lot of green around. Walking into the city center takes about 15 minutes, so plan for that if you primarily want to spend time in the center. + The bed is very comfortable.

- The bathroom was small and managed to waste space - resulting in a shower that is both minuscule and didn't have proper water pressure. I am a small person both in height and width, and I had trouble turning around in the shower while washing my hair. - Staff at check-in and check-out was not exactly unfriendly, but made it indirectly clear that they didn't need to go out of their way to be welcoming, as guests would still be there anyways. It might have been a result of the public transport strikes during my duration of stay or some other factor, but the result was not exactly friendly. - I forgot an item of clothing in the room and only noticed while already in transit. Multiple communication attempts with hotel staff to somehow retrieve it again were completely unsuccessful. I was basically being ignored with a request to please check if that item had turned up during or after cleaning the room. After the bill had been paid, I was obviously no longer considered worthy of any service. - Value for money is not good. For this price level, I expect better rooms and better service.

Feels a bit off having to pay separately for parking when it's fairly expensive already. To be honest, if the nightly rate had just been increased by £20 I would not have minded and then wouldn't have been put ought I had to pay. The air conditioning controls do take some getting used to in the rooms.

The room was quiet, large, clean, comfortable and newly fitted -- not a musty old hotel in the city. The bed and bath were spacious. We looked out our window at a beautiful meadow with horses. The indoor swimming pool was large and clean and refreshing. We found plenty of vegetarian options at the buffet breakfast (although porridge shouldn't cost extra if you're not eating meat and eggs). The walk to town didn't wear us out. In fact we enjoyed returning to our quiet location along the river and near the meadows. If we come back to Oxford, we will stay here again.

On our first night, the four of us tried vegetarian meals at the hotel restaurant and didn't like them. We preferred to eat in the city where we found more interesting and imaginative options.

Very friendly staff, the facilities are great and the breakfast is wonderful. The city centre is just a 20 min walk.

It’s very nice, the staffs are very friendly but on our check out day they were knocking our room twice before the check out time and that was a little bit irritating 😅

Information was not readily accessible. The staff were very accommodating responding to questions. The food was patchy. Some really good (breakfast and burgers) and some just sub standard. Disappointing.
