Somewhere we look forward to returning to.

Beautiful building, beautiful setting. The staff are so friendly, nothing too much trouble. They made us and our dog really welcome. The food , both evening meal and breakfast were fabulous.

Lovely overnight stay in a great location.

Great location, lovely atmosphere and style. Great beer garden and restaurant. Bedrooms very nice and bed comfy. Dog friendly

We found that drinks in the bar were very expensive

Very good

We loved the locality. The rooms were quirky with nice touches. Interesting tea bags ,complimentary beer and sparkling water. Staff were busy but helpful

Quality, comfortable place, in lovely part of the forest, with great breakfasts and great staff.

Beautiful old country house feel. Nice big garden. Breakfasts were great. Staff very helpful. Comfortable bed with quality bedding.

Would have liked more veggie choice on lunch and dinner menu. Could be clearer that 9pm kitchen close means you need to put in food order by 8.45pm

No lift, too many stairs and narrow corridors. Not UHT milk in bedroom.

Saw some lovely dogs, excellent staff and environment

Staff were very helpful and amenable.

The showers took some getting used to to get them to work properly.

A one night stay felt like a holiday, very relaxing

The decor, location, room, garden and snug/bar were fabulous. Felt very much at home and cant wait to return. The food was really good

We found it difficult to find, there doesn't appear to be a sign heading towards Burley and there is one on the way out

Overall, very enjoyable.

We loved the peace and quiet. The hotel was an attractive building and it was in a lovely setting. The staff were anxious to please. Lovely food. The dining rooms in some hotels can feel somewhat crowded but the tables in the dining room at the White Buck seemed well separated which made for a more pleasant atmosphere when dining.

Our room was on the top floor with a dormer window. It was rather cramped for two people with a sloping ceiling on one side of the bed. It was listed as a cosy room, but it did detract from the overall impression of the hotel which was very positive otherwise. We had problems with the flush in the bathroom not working properly. This was mainly because the cistern took so long to fill up after one person had used the WC. It was fixed eventually but the delay in fixing it wasn't entirely the fault of the hotel.

Disappointing

nice gardens and restaurant

double room was very small and cramped. Booked a double and was given a 'cosy double'. Far to small for two people and you could only sit on the bed! Staff very hit and miss with service and friendliness which was disappointing ☹️

Excellent location to visit the New Forest. Would certainly return in the future.

Breakfast and evening meal were very good. Staff were extremely polite and helpful. General ambience within the hotel was very warm and comfortable.

Not very good

The room was nice but not being able to open the Windows was very uncomfortable the fan they supplied was very noisy breakfast was. A little disappointing and dinner was average the staff looked very scruffy wearing jeans and trainers to serve meals was disgusting you could not tell if they were staff or customers and serving food with dirty t towels

Uniforms for your staff and proper serving clothes and your manager in a suit not shirt and trousers with no tie

Quiet and secluded stay in a lovely hotel, modern rooms and friendly staff. A really relaxing break

Our room was very modern, clean and quiet. Breakfast was excellent, very friendly service staff. Check in and out was easy. Dinner was very good, the waiting staff were very friendly. The location of the hotel is perfect, it really is in a lovely quiet spot in Burley with easy access to some of the busier villages locally. This is our second visit to this hotel and i wouldn't hesitate to return.

Amazing!

The small touches of bringing our dog with us. Dog bowls, poo bags, treats and a ball were all set up. It was a lovely special touch.

The housekeeping staff queuing and hanging outside our room from 09.30AM made us feel a little awkward as though they wanted us to check out ASAP (check out was officially 11AM)

Relaxed and warm in a very cold December.

Difficult to find staff? Nobody on the desk.
