Excellent location directly opposite New Street Station, trams outside and overlooking New Street and the main city centre. Perfect for any business or leisure visit to Birmingham.

Opulence.
Asked a member of staff to book another night she said no availability however when I looked online myself there was rooms available. 😭

Continental breakfast hidden around the corner only knew about it after we had had breakfast.
Door lock on bathroom broken.
Lift not working

Room and bathroom were large, and the bed comfortable - even though only queen sized
Drop-off is a bit tricky if you have a lot of luggage.

Close to the Satation.
Rooms were freezing, extremely load being next to the station. The remote for the TV didn't work, reception didn't pickup when I called, I had to go down to reception. Breakfast, the room was freezing. croissants tasted of bacon. The eggs on toast I ordered also tasted like bacon. The serving staff were lovely but couldn't help the food.

Leaving the hotel.
The rooms were outdated. There was no air con.
The room was freezing. No, the towel radiator was not working. We paid extra for an up grade, which we couldn't tell the defence.

We went for a Suite which was very pleasant with nice viewsover old attractive building and trees
The bath was very nice with plenty of hot water
The bed was very comfortable
What would have been a nice bar to rest and talk was ruined by the spanish staff (two differenet women) who have their speaker phone on all the time and shout in loud unpleasant voices. At one time this was done whilst walking around the room clearing glasses. It was so loud that we couldn't converse. No wonder the bar was empty at peak time. The manager wandered round and didn't stop the women holding a long loud private converstation in work hours
A hotel of this size and purportedly 4 stars should have a gym and for this alone we wouldn't use it again
On departing the receptionist was curt and quite rude. She was unable to give clear advice on how won used the car park voucher and the advice she did give was incorrect.

Helpful reception staff, and great central location.
The bed was extremely small and uncomfortable, and the pillows really lacked substance.

We enjoyed our meals with you. The staff were all friendly and helpful. However, the air conditioning was not working as well as it should but staff had provided a large electric fan in the room.
the fire alarm going off!

Clean and comfortable.
The room was very noisy with sounds from the street, could hear the preacher all day on the Saturday from the third floor. The windows need soundproofing.
Breakfast service was slow (tea took half an hour to arrive), quality of the full English breakfast ingredients was on the poorer side especially considering how much would usually be charged.
House keeping repeatedly knocked on the door despite telling them the room didn’t need cleaning (I’d used the bed once at the point).

Beds were comfortable, rooms were spacious and the staff were friendly. we had an emergency with one of our colleagues needing medical treatment and the staff were so helpful
only thing that was confusing was the car park postcode on website directed us to a different one which was not reduced to the rate they say on website it was £36.25 rather than £9.50

The hotel and staff were wonderful. We enjoyed drinks and light food in the bar. The girl serving in the bar was lovely and made us sandwiches and fries because the kitchen was closed.
Our room was huge and the bed was too.
The Nespresso machine was good for a heart starter before going down for breakfast.
Not much except it seems that hotels no longer provide face washers.

The instructions about the parking, as we parked in another car park with the same name however the hotel wasn’t able to give us a reduced price so had to pay £30 to park overnight.
