It was my first experience staying in Melbourne city and it was for one-night. Room was an impressive size - good space if you were staying a few nites and with a cute balcony with a lovely view of the Shrine of Remembrance. The shrine was just across the road with the Botanic Gardens; we were able to make our way across the road with the help of our walking aids to enjoy a bit of the park and visitor centre.
Kitchenette had cooking facilities - stove and pots/pans; that was very nice - we didnt have to go out in poor weather to look for food. However, the kitchenette counter space was really too small and uncomfortable to use.
Checking out with luggage to load onto the car, the staff was helpful in offering me the use of the service lift as the carpark wasn't served by a guest lift.
If i were a repeat visitor, I might be full of compliments for the staff who were very responsive and at their professional best. However I was a first-time and it was rather tiring to keep going back to the staff for additional information or some other help. While there was an email notice abt the basement carpark not being served by a guest lift, this had come very late when I was already on the way. If I had known beforehand, we could have packed our bags differently to reduce the hassle since we were staying only for 1 nite.
We had arrived at around 5pm due to traffic and weather delays; our request for a later checkout of 1pm (from 11am) wd have incurred A$60 which we didnt take up.
Cord of the kettle provided had been damaged with copper wires were exposed. That was a frightening sight and we had even began using it without realising the danger. Reception was very quick to make replacement.

The sauna was great. However, we had to ask for additional towels.
There are no towels in the gym/pool area. Which we found odd, particularly if you use the sauna.

It was close to Lightscape and Shrine.
It was secure parking for our vehicle.
The kitchen facilities were good with all basic requirements. It was a lovely spacious apartment.
Two single beds pushed together do not a good sleep make! The beds separated and we kept rolling into each other in the gap.
There is no lift from the carpark to reception and we had to do several trips to unload and then reload our gear.

It was spacious & comfortable.
The pool was too cold to swim & spa was not working.

Location is ideal if visiting the Botanic Gardens or surrounds. However there is not much else around. Takes About 15 mins to walk to the National Gallery of Victoria
There are road works directly in front of the hotel so the whole area is blocked off. They didn’t provide sufficient information about how to get into the hotel so we drove around until I rang reception who then told us how to get to the parking underneath via a slip lane.
Also they only have stairs leading up to reception from the car park. We had 3 kids plus luggage plus pram so as you can imagine it was a stressful start.
I requested a room on a higher floor but was given a room on level 1 over looking a roof top. Bit disappointed with this considering its low season

Nice and quiet
The young lady at the reception, Sunny, was lovely.

Shower in bath. My husband has mobility issues and it was very difficult for him to get in and out.
The "heated" pool was not heated.
The spa wasn't working.
The "king" bed was two singles joined together with a big hard seam down the middle.
Was told it had a garden view, this was incorrect

Convenient location right by the Shrine of Remembrance.
Good tram access.
Spacious apartment with a large comfy bed, table, decent bathroom and toiletries.
The kitchenette was tiny, hardly any room to prep.
The cupboards were so high i could barely reach the glasses. (I'm 5'6")

The location was excellent, right across the road from the steps leading up to the Shrine of Remembrance. A short walk to the Royal Botanic Gardens and also into the CBD itself. The room was large and spacious with comfortable beds and very good amenities. Overall the room was clean and the staff were absolutely lovely. It was also surprisingly quiet despite the tram works right out the front of the hotel.
The furniture (not the beds) are very dated and need replacing with some furniture showing its age. The bathrooms need to be refurbished and there was a strange stain on one of the bathroom walls. The pool heater was not working making it extremely cold and unusable for the kids so they ended up in the spa instead which was a shame as one of the main reasons we chose this hotel was the indoor heated pool. We were not advised prior to us arriving nor at check in that it was not working. There are limited food options nearby so you need to bring your own or have food delivered as there's no longer a restaurant on-site. There are also tram works out the front of the building which we were not advised of prior to our arrival and made finding the hotel a little difficult.

Great location, very helpful staff. Easy access to trams to get where you need to go into the City or elsewhere. Generous sized rooms with full facilities. Staff here have always been great and they were very accommodating and helpful again this time. Makes this a great place to stay.
Water pressure for the shower was a little ordinary and the valve switching from bath outlet to the shower rose kept clicking back in.
The restaurant here used to be amazing shame to see it gone, guessing a casualty of Covid.
International Roast coffee in the room? C'mon guys you can do better.

A lovely studio apartment. It was very comfortable. Unfortunately I was only there a short time and could not make use of all the apartment or the facilities.
no lift from car park to the reception.

The room was huge. Great view. Balcony.
Someone dropped a glass light bulb from a top balcony at my small daughters and my feet. It explodes on impact and small glass shards covered us. It was very scary. I have trauma from that and am nervous walking on the pavement now. The staff just smiled and said yes sorry a kid threw a bulb over the edge. Thats it. We could have died if hit directly.
