Gutes Gasthaus an einem wunderbaren Ort.

Das Gasthaus liegt sehr zentral in Flüeli Ranft und man kann die Schlucht Ranft sehr gut besuchen. Das Zimmer ist einfach eingerichtet aber sehr gemütlich. Die Dusche ist eher klein. Ich hatte ein Eckzimmer mit 3 Fenstern und die Aussicht war toll.

Am Abend (Dienstag) wollte ich im Pax Montana (Haupthaus) essen. Ich habe nicht reserviert und ich wurde abgewiesen, da sie zu wenig Personal haben. Ich denke, dass man eine Person immer irgendwie bewirten kann, vor allem, wenn man aus dem eigenen Hotel kommt. Da ich mit den ÖV unterwegs war (was ich dem Herrn im Hotel sagte) und der Bus gerade abgefahren war (was er mir sagte), musste ich den Berg runter 50 min nach Sachseln laufen um etwas zu Essen. Im Gasthaus Engel wurde ich dann freundliche empfangen. So habe ich wenigstens einen schönen Abendspaziergang gemacht ;-).

There were flies on the bread and all the food was uncovered. You come for breakfast and you see flies on the bread and everything, it feels sick

Beautiful surroundings and location

We stayed in a triple room in the Paxmontana Gasthaus although breakfast and welcome drink were offered in the main hotel. The location is wonderful. We were so happy we booked that hotel in this peaceful location surrounded by this beautiful greenery and walking paths. The staff is very efficient and kind. Our room in the Gasthaus was very comfortable. We definitely enjoyed our stay there

For the price of a guest house room you get a 4-5-star breakfast in the main Jugendstil-style building with a view

Reception is in another building 5 min walk away from the guest house. The room is really small. Elevator only reaches the 2nd floor, but there are rooms in the 3rd floor too!

lovely place, quiet location, perfect base for skiing in melchsee frutt

the guesthouse was perfect for us: young family plus dog. it was a little away from the main hotel but had everything we needed and was so clean. the breakfast at the main hotel was sumptuous!

The overall environment is fantastic. Dinner at the restaurant is over my expectation. morning fresh air on a high altitude give the best view with mountain and lake. a real dream place for holiday.

Nice, basic, clean accommodation with perfect views; bring your earplugs against the church bells!

The Gasthaus - belonging to the Hotel Paxmontana - is well situated with beautiful views. The beds are comfortable and the basic room is tidy and light. For Swiss terms, a good price/quality balance. Breakfast in the hotel is nice.

There is a church very close by and all the people in the village need to know every 15 minutes - also during the night - that time and the church are still in place. Sleeping in the guesthouse, there is no getting away from the sound of the church bells. The bathroom is more a closet than a room. Everything works and is clean, but for bulkier people this will be an issue. Although the breakfast is nice, if you come before 9:00 in the morning, the kitchen is closed and there is no cooked breakfast possible. That is odd.

The breakfast was outstanding. The lady who served us it was lovely. thanks The place and the landescape are unforgettable. A pleasure…

We didn’t understand why we weren’t hosted in the great building. Instead we were hosted in the gasthouse. 🤷‍♀️

A really great venue for a family holiday

Great breakfasts in a great setting. A superb location for visiting stunning Swiss locations. Comfortable bedrooms.

Would have been great if it could have been made clearer to non-German speaking guests that hot breakfast items could be ordered after 09:00 hours

Disappointing

The location was stunning

We thought we were staying in the larger part of the hotel, and instead we were in the Guesthouse next door. The ceilings were very low and my husband at 6'4" wacked his head twice going down a couple of steps. Almost knocked him out! The bed was hard, pillows were flat, and no T,V, We ate dinner at the main hotel and it was very expensive for what you get, but the worst part was the FLIES!!!!! They left the doors open because it was warm inside and we had to fight the flies at our meal. Breakfast was covered in flies!! Unacceptable for a hotel of this caliber!! Buy some fans!!

Wonderful environment, clean, comfortable with accommodating staff.

View was exceptional across the valley. Breakfast at the Pax Montana was exceptional - great perk. Everything was clean and functioned well. Classic chalet exterior.

A bit confusing on where to check-in. We had to check in at the hotel which was a couple of hundred meters away, but there was no signage to indicate that. Maybe it was in my check-in material, but had to seek out a member of the kitchen staff for instructions on how to check-in.

Cute 1 night stay in the mountains

We stayed here for 1 night with our dog. The town is very small but very cute. The mountains and its surroundings are beautiful. Highly recommend this hotel for a 1 night stay (especially during spring). Dinner at the restaurant was excellent! Service was great and food super delicious. Breakfast was okay, tasty but can't be compared with dinner.

No wifi in the room, only in the main building (where dinner and breakfast are served)
