The spa is divine. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the bed was comfortable. The staff were lovely.
The food served was top-notch. Cooked and dressed beautifully. Beautiful grounds and a delightful little stream through the grounds. The venue was clean and warm.
Ample parking and good disabled facilities.
Paid for breakfast but never got served. Had to find staff, ask for a menu, and then no one returned to take my order.
We were attending a wedding, so lots of us, they seemed short staffed at the bar. Drinks prices varied depending on who served me and were very pricey.
6.0
Comfortable room, good food, friendly staff and good location to explore other things in the local area. The pool was clean and there was a rule of no children after 6pm.
There were weddings every evening for the 3 night we stayed which was lovely, however, it meant we couldn’t access the restaurant/ bar/ gardens as they were closed off for private functions. This meant we couldn’t explore the grounds as we hoped, nor enjoy the Celtic bar/ restaurant until the last day of our stay. The website says there are over 40 whiskies, but the alcohol choice was limited, probably due to all the functions being held this week!
The spa is lovely but again, limited space for treatments so would advise booking in advance.

The spa needed serious updating and was a big disappointment.

Terrific service, excellent food, lovely room, nice pool, spa and gym. Can't fault it really. The breakfasts are great. Staff universally friend and thoughtful. Comfortable bed. Good shower. Plenty of hot water. Good location for Cambridge. We'll happily return.
Bar needs better selection of beers eg Guinness / Doom Bar

Breakfast was great, location was good
Bar and restaurant menu was limited. Disappointing choice of wines

The spa facility were good.
The accommodation was in an out building which was next to the car park and cold and drafty, with poorly fitted windows and a very loud events tent just across the car park which had 2 late night events during our stay.
Disappointed to have to ask for an extra duvet, they needed to repair the heater, dripping tap. The curtain was torn, the empty body wash wasn’t topped up - small issues but not as expected for 4*.
Eat early at breakfast or it’s dry.

Comfortable beds, nice pool and spa area. Friendly staff
Noisy in the corridor during the night as we were next to the outer door. Water glasses in the room were dirty. Staff in the bar were slow and a bit disorganised

Food was good. Service was erratic.
Spa was good was communication was poor (treatments cancelled)
Spa retreat somewhat spoiled by poor room insulation. The room was by the car park so you heard every movement but especially by the party in marquee until midnight.

The location of the hotel was lovely x
We went to a family wedding, and they were extremely under staffed x our room was OK x very large with a little patio area x it was very very dusty with cobwebs everywhere x our room was across from the hotel in a converted barn x prices were high x we had 2 brandy and cokes x just under £20 x

This is both dog and people friendly!
Everything good, although a slight quibble about tardy service in the restaurant.
8.0
The food and general hotel facilities
The heat in the room.
Although fans were provided, it was still very hot

School leavers party on the night we stayed. Only notified 24 hrs before and suggested we find alternative accommodation - terribly managed. We asked for a room furthest away from the party - got give the closest rooms to the party. Place was dirty and in need of renovation. Poor choice and staff seem to have given up. Awful place and won’t go back

Excellent stay and dinner in the restaurant. Staff were exceptional in all areas. The rooms are very good value, comfortable and clean.
Aircon in the rooms outside and the weird multicoloured bread served in the restaurant that looks like a unicorn cake!! Don't do it!

The Staff were friendly, helpful and attentive.
It was very noisy at night. With the window open, you can hear the A14 traffic, and with it closed, you can hear noise upstairs, in the corridors and the bar below.

Attentive staff and lovely food in the lounge bar.
Comfy bed. Quiet night's sleep.
Great pool.
Grounds very pretty, with trees screening the busy road.
Room was very hot at night. As it was ground floor, unable to open the windows more than a crack.
Shower temperature was not quite hot enough, while the hot water from the basin was scalding.

First class breakfast set in lovely surroundings looking out onto garden. Excellent choice of food. Quick service and pleasant young staff.

Location. Restaurant. Room
Creaky building. Couldn’t sleep for people walking in rooms above me in the old part of the building

The hotel was in a great location and the staff were very helpful and friendly
The first room we were in was an interconnecting room, we could hear the couple next door clearly talking (they weren’t shouting, just talking). We spoke to reception who moved us for the second night to a different room which was quiet.

Outside area was nice. Friendly breakfast and bar staff. Good cooked breakfast, but the continental choice was poor…Premier Inn offers better!
Dirty carpet in room (the stain is the first thing you see as you walk in). Shower head couldn’t be raised as broken. Where the bed had been separated to make twins, the carpet had wrinkled and was a trip hazard…so was the metal strip that held the bed together as it was left sticking out. The gap between the beds needed cleaning. Dust was on top of the vanity mirror in the bathroom.
Dirty spa (dirt around/under the beds) and lack of beds. The second night we went and changed and then left again as it was too busy.

A really lovely large bedroom, spacious and airy - it was worth the upgrade.
Very good breakfast. Loads of parking. Quiet and calm!
The jacuzzi bath had seen better days, with quite a few marks.
Had booked two rooms, despite specifying who was in which room, the wrong room was given to the wrong person. But resolved, just a bit embarrassing.

breakfast and evening bar food was excellent
We requested two twin rooms next to or near to each other when booking but we were separated into different buildings. We were told by the receptionist that they didn't do two twin rooms next door to each other even though the double beds could easily be separated into twin beds. This did disappoint us all as we were four friends getting together for a birthday celebration.

I like the location, the hotel is nice. Friendly staff.
Room 109 needs the cobwebs sorting above the shower.

Great staff. Great Food.
Booked 4 poster room as special occasion, was dissapointed. Bathroom blind broken and stuck closed.
Would have expected robes for the price.
