Beautiful hotel. The room was elegant and spacious. Courtyard garden very tranquil.
Location so easy to find and close enough to the town to be convenient, but far away enough to not be noisy.

This hotel is fabulous. I love the fact that the ground floor rooms all have a door that leads directly outside. The bed was lovely. The staff were polite, friendly and attentive, yet they seemed somehow to blend in as if they weren't there, but look and there was always a member of staff available. The room was plenty spacious enough....we even had a guest there for a couple of hours for a cuppa and a chat, a bit like having a temporary flat! The bathroom was quite grand and certainly met our needs. The people that cleaned the rooms did a perfect job every time.
There isn't anything negative worth saying. Suffice to say, if you do have any problem I am quite sure the staff would do their utmost to make it better. I didn't bother mentioning it, but, if you are from the hotel and reading this please check the kettle in room 11...it kept switching on and off again until it boiled. No big deal, but you might want to change it.

It’s history and location. Quaint and functional.
We were on the top floor no elevator, I would have liked to know that at checkin.

The girl at reception and the manager were exceptional as I booked a double buy mistake as I wanted a twin, but they sorted it even though maintenance had left he charged my room and did all the changes in the room himself. Good food and the courtyard is so peaceful . Would definitely recommend

We found the Welcome very good and Professional.
The main problem was the two sets of steps - one in the room and the other into the bathroom. Appreciate the difficulty of old buildings but not the greatest selling point and no warning to Customers either before booking made or at Reception !
The Yelliw Sign on the inside door of the bathroom needs to be stuck just above the door handle for safety reasons rather than above eye level !
£14.99 each for Breakfast TOO COSTLY these days.
We did not use it.
As above.

beautiful building with lovely garden. spacious rooms with good beds and nice touches such as the apples and shortbread. good shower. everything is spotlessly clean. reception staff was really nice and welcoming
only down side is that one of the 2
skylights (one in the hallway) had no blind. this makes the room very bright early in the morning

Beautiful, historic hotel. Lovely garden, nice big rooms.
The noise. Was woken up by the cleaners going around the hotel singing, playing music, sounded like smashing glass and so much noise I didn't sleep.
