Easy to find, central location near shops and restaurants, friendly service. We arrived a bit early and were shown to our rooms immediately. The room was a nice size and quiet.
Bed could have been softer!

Great location and a very nice room. Breakfast was good.
We didn't get any maid service over our 2 night stay. The bathtub had no curtain.

In a great spot at the center of the old town but at the same time really quiet. The atmosphere is amazing as the building is really old and used to be a hammam. The people running the hotel are really kind, friendly and helpful so it made our stay really a pleasure!

very nice hotel in the old city, breakfast available, room nice
only one staff there who hardly spoke English, common area for breakfast not heated. Parking outside old city only, difficult to find and get to hotel

Breakfast was lovely, with thoughtfully chosen gluten-free breads for me and lovely pastries for my partner. Great coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice.

I recently stayed at a 5-star hotel in Rethymno and was extremely disappointed with my experience. Upon arriving at the hotel, I discovered that the hammam was not functioning due to COVID-19 restrictions. Additionally, the hydromassage in my room did not have any safety protection covers, which was a concern for me.
Furthermore, when I checked the bathroom, I noticed that the wooden panel under the sink had visible mold on it. This was not only unsightly, but it also raised concerns about the overall cleanliness of the room.
During my stay, there was a bar located near my room that played loud music until 3am, making it difficult for me to get a good night's sleep. To make matters worse, the mattress in my room was extremely uncomfortable, and I struggled to get a good night's sleep.
The breakfast offered at the hotel was also not up to par for a 5-star establishment. The selection was limited and the quality of the food was not at the level I was expecting.
In addition to these issues, the noise level in the hotel was very high, and I could easily hear other guests walking by my room. Overall, I was extremely disappointed with my stay at this hotel and do not feel that it was worth the money I paid. The lack of functioning amenities, cleanliness issues, and noise level were all major concerns for me. I would not recommend this hotel to others.

Decor was great. Nice big TV and roof terrace. Unsure if was for our usage as we had no proper welcome or introduction to the place. (Wierd considering we were staying 4 nights).
Bed was hard, breakfast was a big meh. Very laissez-faire style. Few cakes and some pastries. Seemed a bit of a chore to ask for anything.
The staff were nice but they didn't speak much or were literally never around when you walk into the hotel. Had to do a manhunt to find someone to check us in. Felt very awkward when asking for anything and didn't feel entirely welcome. Very much left to your own devices.
No kettle in room or tea/coffee. No slippers. Robe and soaps weren't replaced when dirty/empty.
An aesthetically pleasing hotel but on the whole room for improvement.

Staff very friendly and helpful. A/C and hot water reliable. In the historic old town near lots of restaurants. Breakfast delicious.
You cannot drive up to the property. There is no driving in the old town. If you have a car, you will need to either park in the public parking or in the private lots in the vicinity. Public parking will likely be full, so find alternative parking in the area on Google Maps. We didn't plan ahead for parking and it caused a lot of anxiety. Also, if you are disabled this is probably not the property for you. No elevator, but likely none of the hotels within the walls of the old city have elevators as these are medieval buildings.

Lovely small hotel with great hosts in the most picturesque part of old Rethymno.
Near to restaurants, shops and the sea with lots to do and see,

Friendly staff and perfect location, right in the heart of the old town.
Parts of interior are made of a very old wood which is painted or covered with a lack giving a really dense smell. It ia literally hard to breathe if you don’t open windows. Beware of the cheapest room, it has only one window which is directed to the inner yard - room itself is so small and opening neither door nor window makes it better, we had to ask for an upgrade and pay a high price for it. It was impossible to stay in small one.
