Excellent value for money for the single traveller, but the incident with my bike was a real downer

Views of hills; constant hot water; dawn chorus; sunrise

If you are a light sleeper try not to get a room on the left of the hotel as you face it. This side is on a town bypass and gets constant noise; no double-glazing that I could see. But my biggest disappointment was an unpleasant scene with one of the staff who clamped my bicycle when I put it somewhere behind the hotel for safety and to keep it dry. It was something against all the 'filoxenia' one expects in Greece, let alone from the viewpoint of guest care.

Nice view from the room balcony across the hills. Continental Breakfast was nice. The overnight staff was lovely

The room and balcony door were both broken, and at one point we got stuck out on the balcony, had to ask a neighbour to get help, when someone came there was no apology or attempt to fix it. There was no information provided to say when breakfast was or the WiFi code. At breakfast, I was still eating at the table at 10am, at which point someone tried to take my plate even though I was still eating, then someone else came across, asked if I was finished, which I wasn't, and then told me breakfast stopped at 10am so I needed to finish, which I have never experience in a hotel and found very rude. The daytime staff were quite rude and not helpful, and often not at reception to ask for help.

Friendly service...when I got there The air con works well

They advertised check-in after midnight so it was lucky I phoned after the booking because they were clearly not aware they offered that.In fact they made me call back in 10 mins to co firm THEY had the room! You can feel the hard springs in the mattresses and the blankets provided are too thick

Friendly staff, good location, room had a great with of the marina

Close to the marina and 20 minute walk from Kos town centre, my room had a great view of the marina

Room cleaning was average and we had to ask for hairdryer and additional body wash and shampoo

For this price is was an okay hotel. It’s basic, but if you don’t expect something fancy you’ll be fine.

Disappointing

Location good disappointed as it advertised wifi it didn't work, when I alerted staff twice I was fobbed up they said it was my room only I must have broken it . That problem was never resolved.

Overall okay but won’t be back next time I’m in Kos

Location is good- only 20 minute walk from the main port and town area. The sidewalks to get there on foot aren’t the greatest- not the hotels fault but just be aware of you have luggage. The room itself was fine, it was nice having a balcony. The price is reasonable but only if you’re willing to forgo several benefits that are available with a slightly higher rate.

The wifi is terrible here, it only worked if I sat in the corner by the door. The walls are paper thin, I heard everything from my neighbours and all the traffic outside. This usually isn’t a problem for me but the traffic is really loud outside the hotel. I asked if I could store my bags and the front desk staff pointed to the stairs. I’m not sure if I was supposed to just leave it by the stairs all day but wasn’t comfortable with that so ended up paying elsewhere to store it. Noticed a couple stains on my bedding. If any one of the above had been the only issue, I wouldn’t have had a problem, but all of them combined was disappointing.

Exceptional

Kos Bay Hotel's location is very close to Kos Marina and beaches. We walked to city center less than 20 minutes. The room was spotless and good size and has a cosy balcony.

Not friendly working person in hotel not clean room very bad sheets they don't have hair dryer they don't have coffee machine and web side said 8 minutes to port they laying 25 minutes walking to port don't go this hotel.

awful stay and rude owner

The owner was super rude. He wanted me to either leave my luggage in the lobby or pay 50 euros to store it behind the desk. Absolutely crazy considering I had just a small backpack and I paid over 80 Eur for a room. Also there was no comforter!!! Just sheets! The shower was small could barely fit.

Only location was good

The behaviour of the owner of hotel, he wasn't helpful and impolite. Wi fi was really poor. Toilet didn't work good.

The location is good, close to the beachfront, it's about 20 minutes walking to Kós Old Town, there is a market close by, restaurants.

The room is good, spacious, good bed, air conditioning, but the shower is small, the curtain is sticking to the body which made me take a shower without it and having to dry the bathroom every time. Reception is not so friendly, they are it's ok.

Worst hotel in Kos !

We didn't like anything about this hotel .

First of all the reception wasnt even there, they were very rude and they didnt even answer our phonecalls, they didnt even welcome us there, we had a room for 2 and they gave us a room with two single beds and didnt even wanted to change us even though they had many free rooms , the view that the showed on the photos didnt even existed and the bathroom was old small and the toilet and shower was broken.the room was dirty , and we had some coins on the table and when we came back they were missing . Lastly u cant sleep there cause there is an alarm that wokes us up early morning for no reason.i dont even know why this hotel is still on booking . I dont recommend this place and obviously i will not go back .

Denying bad reviews

I don’t know why so many people left bad reviews for this place… Yes, not all the stuff giving you back your fake smile when you coming in, which is actually amazing in my opinion, but they provided with all necessary information and made job done. Hotel is not new, of course, that’s why you pay this price! They do need to repair some small things but the room was clean and smell nice, linen and towels with no stains and breakfast was one of the best I had in hotels 👍🏻

Worst service I've ever came across

A normal room with a balcony.

Ants in the room. They "forgot" our cleaning 4 of 6 days. We had to ask for new toiletpaper and towels, since no cleaning. Extremely bad service. I have never met people at a hotel that was this unpleasant. It felt like they didn't want us there and were annoyed by our questions. Worst hotel I've ever stayed in actually, and I've been to a lot.
