Spectacular view of Lugano

Spectacular view of Lago Lugano from the room and balcony. Nice modern room with air condition. Good breakfast and tasty dinner with wonderful view. The pesto pasta was the best pasta i have ever tasted.

A little bit challenging communicating with the hotel staff in English. Some noise at the pool due to construction work next door and maintenance work at the hotel.

Good stay.

We have a good stay for two nights. The lake view is stunning. We had dinners in the hotel restaurant. We like their pizzas. Really nice cooking.

We have found our halfway stop between Germany and Tuscany!

We traveled with two nervous dogs, and they were very happy. There is a trail close to the hotel quite convenient for their needs. The restaurant is superb.

The hotel was clean, had plenty of space and had an amazing view. The breakfast was amazing. We ate dinner and had some of the best pizza I've ever had. Would love to stay here again. The staff, from the friendly front desk attendant to the servers were all excellent as well.

Great service, beautiful location

Beautiful hotel with real beautiful view of the Lugano lake. We booked the room with a lake view and were not dissappointed, The room was big and comfortable and the balcony was bigger than expected. But the real treat were the employees - seems like they realy enjoy what they are doing. The lady at the reception, I think her name was Rossalva, was kind and helpful with recomendations. The restaurant's stuff - Roberta, Abdel Jaber and Chef Moustafa (sorry if I mispelled) went out of their way for my sister and I to be happy.

We needed to go to our car after 11pm and couldn't find the way out since the reception was already closed. We were also surprised to find out there was a construction site just in front of our room - it didn't disturb the view of the lake but still, they started working at about 9 am, making noise. I would have liked to know about this before making the booking. Breakfast could have been better (not much choice of vegetables and fruit and no toaster to toast the bread).

Overall great. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great restaurant (probably the best in the area). Comfortable room. Great views.

The only complain - water pressure in the bathroom could be better.

Great resort we certainly recommand.

Great location with a beautifull view. Very nice and helpfull hosts. Surprice for us was the availebillity of a swimmingpool.

Perhaps breakfastbuffet could be little bit more.

Great location - maybe post Covid and the improvements, there are some details to be sorted out.

The Pizze had grown bigger but the toppings were rather too spread out. Some details of the new rooms were lacking - no toilet roll holder, no hook for hanging anything up, no tea bags or coffee in the room. The breakfast buffet needs to be better re-stocked and more physically spread out for the number of people trying to access it.

Good place to stay at when visiting this area.

Very good breakfast and the view from the hotel was awesome. The owners and personell where very friendly and flexible, for example when we needed breakfast very early in the morning. Nice pool- and lounge area. Food was good.

No more restaurants close to the hotel so if you don't want to take the car for dinner it's only the hotel restaurant available.

Very nice hotel with nice view, breakfast and diner

Stayed in this hotel for just 1 night with my wife and 2 kids, I took the family room with 4 beds. I arrived in the evening hours so I could not really see the environment. I was surprised that the restaurant was still open. We took the opportunity and ordered some pizza's. The pizza were delicious. In the morning hours I entered the balcony to take a look outside, The view was amazing!! You could see the lake without any problems. The breakfast works this way, you need to select a day before what you want for dinner, there are different things to select like cake, croissants, eggs and spread. This will all be offered in the morning. Taste was excellent. Unfortunately the stay was just for 1 night. I will come back here definitely.

Love it and will come back

The Staff is kind and gentle, the restaurant is top class and the food is exceptional. The menu is full of options and the breakfast is also generous served. Once again, the Staff is unbelievably nice. The room is super clean! Well done!!!

All good. I would have taken my own pillow though because I found it too low. Other than that, I have nothing to complain about. I had indeed a very pleasant stay.

Stellar Stay

We loved Hotel La Stampa!The location couldn’t have been more perfect for us. The room was very clean and simple. We had a balcony with gorgeous views overlooking Switzerland and Italy. The daily breakfast very good. Ristorante La Stampa was delicious- we loved every meal. The entire staff went above and beyond for us. We can’t wait to go back!

Great!

The staff was super friendly and pleasant. We came in the middle of night for checkin and were greeted with smile. Also, all the service during our dinner at Ristorante Stampa was probably the best I've ever had - someone would come every few minutes. Also, the view from hotel is stunning.

We had to pay extra for a baby cot. We were informed about that in advance, but still in other hotels we wouldn't have to pay.
