Highly recommend this stay.

The property is a little tricky to find but hosts were helpful & friendly. The evening was alive with lights and busy restaurants with great food and atmosphere.
Unfortunately in daylight the Ostia area is dirty, poorly maintained and a sad sight to see.

Perla & Ricardo are the most wonderful hosts. So friendly, welcoming, efficient & helpful, with a great sense of humour. Room was comfortable and the shared terrace is beautiful & spacious. Amazing location by eateries, the sea & 10 min walk to the metro for Ostia Antica archeological site which was my favourite day during my time in Italy. Truly magical place. I would definitely visit and stay here again. Particularly great for a few nights to decompress after central Rome!
It could be a little noisy at night with other guests coming & going as the walls are quite thin, but this is the general nature of these places.

Amazing hospitality- Perla and Riccardo let you feel like friends, not as guests.
Great terrace with oceanview, perfect for breakfast and evening drink.
Short walk to the ocean and walking distance to the train station.
Only thing was that my bathroom was outside the room. (Mistake of booking com in their description!)

We loved everything. Pearl and her team were just amazing. After booking other accommodation that was nothing like advertised we left .Pearl said to come over straight away as we had a bad experience. Wish we found this place first.Room was so comfy .It had everything you could want.
Nothing we didn't like.It was amazing

The accommodation is within walking distance from the station from where you can get to rome in less than an hour.
The room was nice and clean, and the terrace/balcony overlooking the sea was lovely.
The Italian breakfast was a great addition, not to mention the service and hospitality of the host.
If we ever plan on visiting Ostia or Rome again, we would choose to stay at Barochetto Romano in a heartbeat.

The accommodation was excellent, good location. 10 minute walk from metro, 30 minute ride to Rome. Hosts, Perla and Rccardo, were wonderful.

nice terrace, Ricardo was very friendly.
When we arrived we asked to be moved, as the property was not what we expected. This was refused, so the we had to stay. This made it difficult to enjoy our stay. Breakfast was toast, hard fruit and white plain yoghurt. We were overcharged the city tax when we left so be careful. Payment was taken in advance, before we arrived, so we were left with no choice but to stay. Very, very disappointing, so bad that we won’t be returning the Italy.

Welcoming, comfortable, quiet, yet central to spas, restaurants, shopping, beach. Warm hearted gracious hosts and generous delicious breakfasts on the terrace. About 20 minutes from the airport, 30-45 from Rome central. All around delightful place to stay!

Room was very small. Bathroom tiny. Bed was comfortable but very low to the ground.

really good view
Touching and moving our personal belongings to another room without our knowledge. Very bad and unpleasant owner who insulted us personally. Kicked out of the room for complaining about the booking and no refund. The worst accommodation in our life.

the location is excellent
the place is a bed and breakfast I found out after booking and only on google map ! the place says private bathroom but the bathroom is outside the room .. I wonder how people gave the breakfast a high rate when breakfast is basically yogurt , eggs and bread ..

So nice place and great location! Big, beautiful terrace! Warm welcome! We liked a lot. We stayed only 1 night with my sister but could go again.

A very little cute apartment in the heart of Ostia Lido. The room was clean and comfortable. The location was great and close to the beach. Kitchen available for guests. Great communication with the host, she helped us with more questions.
Everything was great.

Such a wonderful place! A rare pearl near the coast and with easy access to Rome and Ostia Antica with the metrobus. Cute rooms, a spacious and beautiful terrace, great service and the nicest hosts. Do not hesitate to visit if you have the chance. We loved it!

Breakfast was great. Loved the location and charming ambiance of the BnB. After a hectic week of travelling we had two days prior to our long flight back to Australia and our 2 nights stay here was perfect. We were able to relax on the terrace enjoy the variety of different eateries to choose from right outside the door and relieved that we did not have to catch taxi’s or cars or put up with hustle of busy cities. The beach is also a stone throw away so you can also spend time lazing in the sun and just reading a book. We had planned to visit the Ostia Antica ruins (5mins drive) which is reported to be better than Pompeii, but decided to just relax and enjoy a day at the beach instead. We will have to plan that for next time!
The rooms are not particularly big, they are comfortable and clean and the terrace more than makes up for a space to relax, read or people watch on the cafes and restaurants below. It is only a short trip to the airport 10min ride or so. You can arrange a car via hosts who are happy to help it can be expensive it cost me $50 euro so do your homework, alternatives maybe preferred taxi or train (or you have min luggage).

the location of the room is perfect. just few minutes walk from the sea and close to many good restaurants. unfortunetly this is the only good thing about this property.
the room has no privet touilet and shower. to get to the touilet you have to walk through a public area that other guests use. if I would have known this I would never take this room. I am very surprised that this property is rated 9. I wouldn't give more than 4.

For starters, the location of Barochetta Romano was great with a view of the sea from one side of the terrace and overlooking cheerful local mall activity below. The beach is a block away but we found it just as pleasant to sit on the gracious terrace and pretend to be locals! Perla, the proprietor, has done a charming job decorating the terrace and the rooms giving them a lovely Mediterranean atmosphere with vintage finds and furniture she has upholstered herself. She speaks English very well and helped with transportation and other details. Kitchen facilities are available to guests round the clock, and Perla herself is on hand in the morning to provide Italian breakfast or hot American breakfast as you wish.
Nothing not to like! On the contrary, we hope to visit again.

Great hospitality upon check in and communication regarding location (how to
get to property which was in pedestrian zone.) Great location 1 block from beach and in easily accessible pedestrian zone with lots of restaurant choices. Flexible check-in since our flight was delayed and our host even arranged an early morning ride to the airport so we didn’t have to worry about it in the morning.

Close to the sea, to the subway (direct line to Rome), to the airport. good restaurants and coffee houses can be found nearby. it has a very nice terrace, we had a pleasant breakfast on the terrace. the room itself was good, the bed convenient. we liked it very much! the morning is very quiet, nobody is in the pedestrian street (all closed until 10am), so this is very enjoyable. coffee served by the local house manager is perfect, we loved it.
the restaurant downstairs is noisy in the evening, and the smell of the kitchen is quite strong - not very pleasant. air ventilation of the restaurant is in front of the window, very noisy, but the windows are brand new ones and perfectly keep the noise out, we could sleep without any problem. However, you cannot open the window during the evening. which is fine, but good to know in advance before you book this place! overall we very very happy to stay here, so with these limitations you can also enjoy it!
