It is a fairly good place to book because there is a lovely view of the bay.

The location was fine but the breakfast needed some more variety in terms of dishes

I booked a room for three people but there was only accommodation for two. I believe that the information given for "deluxe twin room" for three people is misleading and inadequate. There was not even a sofa for a third person to sleep on. I do not feel that I got a good bargain for my money. Fortunately, the manager, Mr. Clark,was very helpful and allowed my husband to stay in another smaller room which was not booked and my daughter and I stayed in the designated room. If it were not for him my stay would have been ruined.

I would definitely return because it was a lovely experience overall.

Loved the food, most excellent and affordable! Staff was very friendly and helpful. So very conveniently close to the beach. Great ambiance, lovely music, pleasant deco!

Room preparation needed better effort. Some people may have a hard time due to many stairways, not sure if there was a lift.

Lovely stay, with great hosts and great views

The location was perfect, just across the road from the beach and with a beautiful view from the restaurant and our room over the bay! Rooms were comfortable and the food was freshly cooked and tailored to our needs. Staff were friendly and helpful. We will be back.

Rooms are fairly basic (which was fine for us). The back of the hotel and car park could do with a little bit of work.

Do not visit

The location

The staff were very non chalant, absent minded and had to constantly be asked for basic needs such as cups or drinks. The place was not clean. The beds had small insects, the towels were worn and bleached. Cockroaches dead in the hallways to be stepped over by staff. Terrible place

I stayed one night as it was, so Convenient! Nevertheless I look forward to upgrades when I next vis

It wasn’t an average breakfast, where as there was a guy whom had to order triple times in order to satisfy his appetite! It’s like a sample!!! I do like the meals and Chef who has been there for a long time!!!!

I have stayed a few times before with previous owners and they were renovating! But! There is a lot of upgrading in the room with furniture and bath math and bedroom linens, secure closet space and Wi-Fi connection! Simple as outdoor functional shower! Incorporate the colors of the Logo in and around property! Then you can call it a Romantic getaway! It’s convenient and can be made a household name!!!!

Pleasant

The location is ideal just across the road from the Las Cuevas Beach Facility. The restaurant is well placed for excellent views. The menu is limited and food very basic but the staff were very pleasant and willing to assist.

Don't expect luxury. The furnishings are very basic which is expected given the price, however, there are some things that were no no's like paint splatter on the sheets which were discolored. A little TLC would go a long way. The fittings are very outdated. All that being said, the location would get me to return but for one-nighters only.

i would go back. I would take my own sheets for sure, but would go back for the location and other sections of the hotel

you can’t beat the location. It’s ideal, perfect, situated literally on the beach. There were three women (staff) there- all very pleasant and helpful!

the rooms need major uplift. I think some effort could be placed on at least covering up the fact that furniture might have been there since the opening of the place. Things are not anywhere near to my clean standards or comparable to hotels, but they try their best to accommodate.

Relaxing but a bit underwhelming at the same time

The place is beautifully located between the sea and some very gorgeous mountains I appreciated all the plants etc and the views were amazing. The direct TV was a gem at night and the AC worked great I liked that we were walking distance from the beach and fish center and it rly was peaceful and relaxing

The building is a bit run down, I think if the kitchen /bar area was a little more fixed up they could generate more foot traffic. Also current went for about 7-8 hours on new years eve and we were given 1 candle and found another that couldn't properly light. Nothing was rly offered for compensation and the drinks prices were ridiculous. I understand that everywhere there is some sort of mark up but $10 for a can coke or club soda was a bit much in my opinion. The bedsheet had brown stain marks on it and we were left with no sheet to cover with (good thing I packed my own).

Poor

Location couldn't be better.

Food was aweful, dusty rooms, no housekeeping even if you stay more than one night, no wifi so TV is useless, floor mats don't even absorb water. The bathroom curtain was cut too short so water splashed everywhere.

Passable

The ocean view was amazing and I loved the proximity to the beach, literally across the road. The staff was courteous and accommodating.

The food we ordered at the restaurant wasn’t great, the wings and fries were the only items we enjoyed. The signal strength of the Wi-Fi was poor so it didn’t work from the room and we did have our toddlers with us. The room is tight, there is a mini fridge but no microwave. Our breakfast was served very late also, while the staff was there early, they were locked out and were t able to prepare our breakfast on time, and having 2 toddlers that was a big deal to us.

It was perfect for a long overdue getaway. We had a wonderful experience.

We enjoyed both dinner and breakfast in the open air dining room. Meals were tasty, there was a short wait time between ordering and receiving the meals, there was a good variety of options and service was excellent. It was private and not overly crowded. The views out to the beach and the surrounding mountains were fantastic.

There is the need for a general upgrade, although the room was comfortable and clean. Upgrades were being undertaken in another section of the property during our stay. We look forward to returning when the upgrades are completed.

The owner went above and beyond to make sure it was the best experience we could have.

We had a great time staying at Las Cuevas beach lodge, the hotel is located in a great location near Las Cuevas beach, and there is a spectacular view of it from the hotel. Our stay itself was very pleasant, and we were particularly impressed by the hospitality of the owner Sanjaay, who went out of his way to help arrange activities in the area, as well as transport, and was overall a fantastic host. Recommend to anyone in the Maracas bay/las cuevas area.

This is not related to the property, but be careful with the sand flies at the beach. Sanjay provides citronela to pass on your body and protect you, make sure to use it!

Horrible stay,

Nothing really, maybe good location, right across from beach. But our stay was for an event.

Firstly we got there at about 8pm, we did notify upon booking… in advance that it was a late check in (when we arrived, response from receptionist: Alyuh lucky yuh pay already). No rum punch was given (even tho the bookings says free rum punch on arrival). We took an Ocean side room, we could not sleep, as the noise from the passing vehicles jumped us out our sleep everytime, the rooms are not sound proof at all.., we can hear people flushing their toilets, water running and conversations. 😁 The floor was very dusty, balls of hairs in the corners and between remotes area, the bathroom mat was very filthy. The tv cable did not work. Breakfast: I wanted local food, so I went for sada roti, the sada was half of a sada roti.., roti cut in half again. 😁 and piece of avacado dumped in the bigan choka. This place have a nice view, from the balcony with 2 tables and chairs but situated very close, a staff sand there the entire time with her broom which we were eating, I felt like we had no privacy. It’s was like 9am we had to check out at 11 so there was no way she was waiting to clean our room, (she sat right infront our door). The staff was not friendly. My husband and I are a interracial couple…let me just put that there. We paid $532 but stayed from 8pm to 10am. It was not worth it, next time it’s better to just get a room for short stays.

False advertising

Falsely advertised...asked for a refund after seeing d room..or a better room at a higher cost..all denied..power went b4 d end of d first day 2hrs..and asked for a refund for d upcoming day..it was denied..management refuse to answer my call to discuss a way forward..no communication...never goin back there....

I was very comfortable and got the rest and relaxation I wanted.

My overall opinion was a good experience. I will definitely go back. The staff was nice and the breakfast was good.

The noise from draging furniture on the upper floor was very annoying in my room.
