We stayed in one of the villas with a private pool which was wonderful and a great space! The staff were really wonderful and friendly, nothing was too much! I had 2 massages at the spa which were great.
The food was good quality with a nice selection which was a nice surprise. We also had a great honeymoon meal at one of the A La Carte restaurants which was lovely with our very kind server Sebastian :)
The vibe of the hotel was great and we really loved to see the things they are implementing to be more eco conscious.
Unfortunately the air on and the pool jets were loud at night so we did struggle to sleep a bit.
Also people reserving beach chairs with their towels should not be allowed. Nobody did this at pool and the result was always plenty of available chairs yet you go to the beach and can’t sit there which is frustrating when there is nobody physically there!

Staff is amazing, helpful and always smiling.
The food is so delicious, A la carte or the buffet.
Rooms are not well cleaned, dust everywhere in the corners of the room, toilet is yellow as they don’t use good products apparently. even when they give us a place where to change our clothes when we came before time for check in, the toilet was dirty, with urine on the top, I even informed the receptionist.

Comfortable room, bed a little on the hard side even with topper. Good Size shower and space. We had a swim up room but didn't really use it as the sun was gone by lunchtime and would prefer to use it in the afternoon.
Dinner options were ok, some times was a bit repetitive. The two 'book in restaurants' were ok but I was really craving a proper meal by the time we left, it was all more like tasting plates. 100% recommend the otentik dinner, was the best food we had, more authentic food at the hotel would have been nice! Beach was beautiful, lush white sand, gently shelved to walk out in the sea. It was just across the road and so easy and accessible and there is even a pedestrian crossing with lights. Easy to walk to nearest town, didn't realise till late in the holiday, not much there but might have eaten there are couple of times if I had known. Most staff were lovely. Really enjoyed the entertainment and options to do things like the glass bottom boat, cooking class, snorkelling all included in the package.
I have to say what really made this holiday was the people, we made so many 'holiday friends' it was incredibly sociable helped by the size of the complex and the events which bring people together like the classes and experiences.
Some days were so busy we couldn't get a bed on the beach, both beach and pool were usually full of towels on loungers by 9am.
They said you could get served at the swim up pool bar. The staff never look, I saw many people try including us and no one came, was easier to get out, go get a drink and get back in the pool.
Limited cocktail choices and is unbranded alcohol didn't agree with me at all!
Being A/I I expected a little more choice in the 'snack shop' I went to get a couple of mini cookies and some dried fruit and was told it would be an additional cost so all we were allowed were peanuts and what was like a bombay mix (but not spicy) which is rationed out like its gold dust! It was the same everyday. We didn't find out till the last day you can get banana crisps at the bar, this would have been nice available in the shop too. In the shop drinks were only only full sugar coke and lemonade and beer, it would have been nice to have juice or low sugar alternatives. I have to say the greeting in the shop was usually quite cold, no smile and I felt almost like I wasn't welcome in there being limited on this and that.
I found there was sometimes a lack of explanation, it would have been nice to have found out more about things from the staff, but lots of hotel guest swapped stories and experiences so we learnt more that way.
Personally I wasnt a fan of the 'tour' which was due for 3 hours after we arrived, I would have rather got it over and done with so I could then start my holiday, instead I wasted 3 hours sitting around waiting for the 'tour' which took 10 mins.
Most of the staff were absolutely lovely, the grounds were immaculate and everyone we passed gave a smile and said hello.

A very good hotel with all needed on-site, very close to the sea and only 15 minutes drive from local town with a big market. Although the hotel is 4 star you have everything as it is 5 start hotel

Great and helpful personnel. The hotel looks beautiful and even walking around it is a pleasure. One of the exceptional things is the local musicians' concerts. It really stands out compared to our previous experience.
Our room could be bigger. The same applies to food portions in dedicated restaurants but they taste very well. Bit far from many Mauritian natural wonders.

The location and the beach was great, although the beach is separated by a road from the hotel, but it was not disturbing at all. The entire staff was very friendly and nice, the room was perfectly clean as well.
The quality of the food was not the greatest, it could be improved a bit.

The resort is very beautiful, the room was clean and the stuff was ok.
The food diversity is a big problem, they have few options for how big the resort and the price is. Also, at dinner, they charge you for water and the water is from the tap… never seen something like this before.
The pool needs deep cleaning, it was full of sand and there were things floating into it.

the hotel had everything you want if you like all inclusive. Great for a couple of days, but nothing more to do in the area, so we stayed at the hotel.
No other restaurants or shops near by

Lovely, friendly staff; excellent facilities, particularly pools and bars; good location and very nice beach; good vegetarian and vegan food options.
The occasional lack of attention (i.e faulty shower that was never addressed): mirrors in the bedroom are not close to a power socket so difficult to dry hair with a hairdryer; on arrival being told our room was ready and being subsequently informed it wasn't.

we enjoyed a lot the night life
nothing around so you have to make your plans about transportation due it’s not so easy to have a taxi especially after 9 noon

Comfortable and quiet resort, most of the staff very friendly. Nice, clean and modern room, ours was with little pool which was pleasant, but there is not much privacy, the guests from the next rooms are right next to you.
The time of cleaning were very strange. One day the cleaning didn´t happen at all and then the cleaning lady came late in the evening. The next day she came in the room in the morning while we were still sleeping and woke us up and then she came again at 9:30 pm and surprised us sitting on the terrace, it was very unpleasant.
The arrival was just confusing. The bell boy took us to our room and didn´t explain anything. We had to search for reception desk (which was not at the entrance but on the other side of the resort) and ask them to show us around. We had never seen this before.
We got our stay in this hotel as a gift and we weren´t sure what we have included in price. At the entrance as well as by the recepiton desk we asked and in both cases we were told we have all inclusive. To our surprise they had us sign the bill for drinks after dinner saying that we have only half board.... We had to pay for all inclusive in addition to our stay... This was unpleasant and unprofessional.

the rooms were lovely, the pool area was great. access to the Belle Mare beach was ideal.
the check in process was very tedious, and slow. felt like they didn’t even have our booking in the system, and asked us multiple times for our ‘vouchers’ which is not something relevant to our booking. Also tried to make us wait to get our room, even though we arrived after check in time of 2pm. water was never replaced in our room daily, even though we asked multiple times and they kept saying they would replace it.

The surroundings are nice and so are the rooms
The service was a bit confusing and you had to be quite pro active yourself to figure everything out. Prices without all inclusive also quite high and nowhere near to shop.

very good beach, you need to cross the road to get to it, but it is not a problem.
the selection of food in buffet can be improved.

The hotel and facilities great. Food was also delicious. Although self service buffet is not for 4 stars hotels. Nice swimming pool and different program every night.
The road between beach and hotel is busy and noisy. Stray dogs on the beach, beach is not private it is a part of a big public big, which is very busy during weekends and holidays. People there camp in tents and grill food.
Paying for water during dinner is weird and the waiters always acted surprised why we dont want to drink anything else. One waitress was pretty rude since she was always taking plates from us while we were still eating! Management is poor, staff is pushy, request are being solved by 10 people which could easily be solved by one person. Calling in the room how are we doing was weird. Asking at breakfast what will we be doing during the day and then making writing it down?!
The surroundings are not nice, nothing to do, no bars or restaurants. So it is better to eat dinner and have some drinks directly at hotel.

The hotel itself was stunning. Beautiful grounds, pools were idyllic and our room was perfect. Staff were super friendly, always on hand to help and responded in exactly the right way when we had a few gripes about the food.
We were disappointed with the food. There was nothing wrong with it, but it lacked flavour for us. mauritian food is very spicy and that is what we wanted, but even in the Mauritian restaurant there was no spice at all. We were told it was because Europeans don‘t like spice, which we understood, but you have to cater for everyone. We did speak to the manager and after that every meal we had was accompanied with a fiery chilli paste, which was delicious, but don‘t expect to be blown away by the food. Staff were outstanding though.

the rooms where nice and the layout of the property was nice plus the beach is stunning
the food was awful and the buffet was dirty. sticky finger marks on all the lids, off milk and slow service. it felt like the cleaning of the rooms was perhaps not up to the standard of a 4 star place & no shampoo or conditioner in the bathroom. mini bar empty and you had to refill yourself daily

We stayed 5 nights in a deluxe room with pool access which was amazing! The hotel is right in front of the beautiful Belle Mare beach.
From the moment we arrived we were welcomed by the staff, always very courteous and friendly and never intrusive. Definitely the customer service provided deserves a 10!
We booked all inclusive as there is no other options if you want to venture outside the hotel and it was the best choice as everything was taken care of.
The hotel arranges activities during the stay but we just preferred to relax by the beach and venture around the island so we can’t say anything about them.
The two ladies at the Bulk Shop, Nishta and Marie Ange, were absolutely amazing, super friendly and funny and a joy to talk to.
We would definitely recommend this hotel.
The check in should be personalised to every guest, however they make you join a group hotel tour with so many other guests and it was a horrible experience which is far from a luxury 4 star rating. It really felt like I was joining a hostel activity…definitely a big no.
Our room was fine until other guests arrived next door, because one side of our patio area was completely exposed unlike all the other deluxe rooms with pool access. It wasn’t worth the money paid for privacy when you are over exposed.
Our main disappointment was the food. Very repetitive options, during our 5 nights, the only change happened during Christmas when the hotel was fully booked, we saw a slight improvement…
The buffet style felt more like a school canteen than a 4 star offer.
Beware of the KOT NOU restaurant, sold by the staff as a truly authentic Mauritian cuisine, which needs to be booked in advance. That dinner spoilt our evening, the concept of tapas in Mauritius doesn’t make any sense especially when whatever they serve you is not cooked fresh instead is reheated in a microwave! Just embarrassing when we asked the staff if this is what they eat in their own home and they all said no!
