The hostel is at very good location very close to the metro station and there are plenty of restaurants around, the ones on the street beside the hostel are pretty expensive though. Clean beds, nice mattress but one bed in my room had a pretty bad one.
The only complain is the toilets, the cleaning is not good.

The best location for solo travelers! I'd definitely stay here again when I visit Beijing.
Reception couldn't speak English, but they were very friendly. We were able to communicate through translating apps.

1) The location. Right in the thick of a very cozy and vibrant neighbourhood with minimal cars and endless shops and trees. 2) Decent communal areas. 3) Cool cafes all around (Wiggly Jiggly is best - 2 lanes away). 4) Pillows are excellent.
1) The bathroom of the private room (206) really stinks of mould. 2) The lack of English in ALL staff is shocking for an official HI hostel (they fully depend on their phones for translation, can't answer anything before in writing or on the phone). 3) The old dude who cares for the place at late night is an outdated a*s hole, 4) The Americans who stay there are politically insensitive to the country, loud, ignorant yet think they're informed (worst type of ignorance) and worse than the miserable bitter old man as company. 5) The price of the private room is 100 USD - incomprehensible.

A friend told me about the exceptional location.
I had to cancel the stay. Due to networking problems I was unable to cancel on time (server was not reachable). None of my request through the booking app and via e-mail was answered by the youth hostel staff.

The location of Peking Youth Hostel is great, it's easy to find and the subways station (Line 6 & 8) is just a few hundred meters away. Even though the hotel is on a very populated street called "Nanluoguxiang", but since it's located in a residential area, it's actual pretty quiet during the night.
The 2 beds classic family room is tight, no closets, just wall rack. The bathroom has a little bit sewage smell, so it's best to keep the bathroom door closed. Wifi was slow (about 4Mbps download speed), it can use an upgrade.

The location is amazing! It’s located in the heart of one of the crazy gems of Beijing.
The bathroom was not clean.

- very nice location: in the Hutongs of Beijing, close to subway, between Olympic sport center and forbidden city
- very clean: room, bed, toilets, showers and other facilities
- friendly stuff
- very nice rooftop (unfortunately it rained when I was there)

I like Nanluo and passed Peking youth hostel for many times. So this time I am lucky to have a journey with it. The location, facilities, staff and Peking cafe are so good. My room have a problem with hot water for shower, and it was fixed properly. The room is enough for single travellers to live. Staff helps a lot. The location is perfect for travelling by railway, just 6 minutes walking from Nanluo metro station.
The toilet is not allowed to put tissues in so it's a little bit inconvenient.

Facilities clean and the staff very kind. Very beautiful rustic feel to the hostel. In the heart of the hutongs area, I think it is the perfect location in Beijing
I didnt like the fact that there isn't a wardrobe in the private room. The bed was also hard and shorter than I had expected

The hostel communal area was nice and having the cafe linked was great. The rooms were simple and very clean and neat. Location was absolutely perfect on a main Hutong street and metro very close. Would stay again and would recommend
The bed was very hard which was okay but after a few days it may annoy.

I was very happy with the overall experience, lovely room, great location, very helpful staff, Sonya was exceptional! My trips were organized promptly and Sonya helped me to order a food delivery to take to the Great Wall. I loved the coffee shop downstairs, fabulous coffee and cocktails.
The shower pressure was very low, and the floor of the room could have been cleaner. Apart from that, no complaints!

Cozy atmosphere. Beautifully decorated interior. The staffs are friendly. Place is also a restaurant and cafe. I love their tuna panini! Guests will get discount when ordering from the cafe. The room is clean and decently sized. Location is perfect, situated in the Nanluguo Xiang hutong area. Close to most tourist places and very close to the train station too.
No fridge to put your foodstuffs but it’s not a big issue. During the public holidays, it would not be suitable as the place will be overly crowded with people and the path to the hutong is blocked by security. However overall it’s a good place to stay.

Everything !!!!
Everything is perfect except that beds are too near to each other. I will feel uncomfortable if someone I dont know sleep besides me .

English speaking staff, they also arranged the transfer to the airport in early morning.
Location in the middle of hutongs, 300m from underground.
Water complementary and daily towels change.
Hutongs are pretty overcrowded during the day, but it wasn’t a big problem.
Looking for the Pecking restaurant, the hostel’s entrance is on a side street and not well visible.

Clean and nice.
