Weekend away with 3 months old my son

The staff members are very friendly. Supply of toiletries. I loved that most of their menu items are made in-house. The bed was big enough and very comfortable. Love the farm life experience the place gave. The supply of fresh milk and rusks was also a nice touch.

My room had a lot of flies which made the stay really unbearable. I requested a cot bed when booking and it was confirmed but was never supplied. The couch was very uncomfortable. Menu could do with more options. The room didn't have a phone so to access room service I had to use my own cellphone to contact reception. Gravel road leading to the venue was also a surprise. The night of our 1st day it rained and the next morning I had to fetch something from my car and the grass was still soaking wet so a concrete or brick pathway leading to the Sagewood cottage is needed. Bathroom still had used items from a previous guest when we checked in.

Very good

The place is homely and peaceful and had exceptional good farm milk that gets replenished everyday.

The people in the next unit were a nuisance taking away all the good things about the place.

I will definitely be back when I work in the area

The location on a working plant nursery is lovely. The rooms are surrounded by lovely trees and well screened and private.

Food for the Soul

Staff was so friendly and helpful. Wonderful to be on a farm again. Cottages were well equipped and clean. The peacefulness is restorative.

A bull kept us awake at night with his bellowing, but we were on a farm...

Very good

Our cottage was spacious, and decently equipped. We arrived a little late, but the security handled the check in perfectly and was very helpful. We felt like we were in the countryside even though we were not far from town. The property is also quite big and spacious. The cottages are set up in such a way that you have a decent amount of privacy from your neighboring guests.

The carpets in the cottage had a smell to them...not in a bad way, but just quite strong. The couches in the living room area are made of wicker and were not very comfortable and small. There was also a lack of two prong plug points to charge cell phones etc.

The place is beautiful, and staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Food is fantastic, all fresh and wholesome.

The spa service is substandard, I believe this is outsourced.

The staff was so friendly. Relaxing environment. The rooms are beautiful and big. Continue making braai fire for guests. This is a great gesture. The rusks and breakfast was delicious.

Trimming the trees along paths in-between the cottages. My car is full of scratches as I was driving in between .

Beautiful stay in nature and it was wonderful to see the cows. Excellent service and staff.

Breakfast is spectacular. Some ingredients are from the accommodation itself. Very authentic and delicious!

Delightful getaway filled with comforts but with a rural country feeling. Will visit again!

My daughter and I loved it. Staff were so helpful and friendly. Gardens were lovely! Nursery was fascinating. One is not far from town but it feels as though you’re in the countryside. Dinner was delicious and plentiful. Bed was comfortable and cosy.

Unique and wonderful stay!

We live on a farm and needed to come to the city. The atmosphere at Random Harvest is homely and restorative and rejuvenating - a healthy environment to combat city stresses, including noise and traffic. The cottage we stayed in was well equipped and comfortable with thoughtful touches, including farm milk in the fridge and homemade rusks and a hot water bottle. The little garden at our cottage is a wildflower delight! The restaurant and nursery is superb. We had a delicious breakfast of haddock with poached free range eggs and oh so fresh spinach fritters. Excellent, friendly and helpful staff. We walked around the farm/nursery at sunset and in the morning. Stunning!

Friendly, efficient, embracing… nothing is too much for the staff to ensure you have a wonderful stay.

I love the rural setting despite it being so close to the city. There is a sense of peace and harmony as soon as one drives onto the property.

Tranquil!

The location was so perfect! It's nice and quiet, which is exactly what I needed. I loved that I could have food delivered to my cottage and the food was absolutely amazing. I really enjoyed my time here and the staff was sooo friendly! :)

The room smelled a little musty upon arrival, I'm assuming it was because of the thatch. But nothing open windows and fresh air couldn't fix.

The countryside ambiance without traveling far from home(::) 🏡 as well as the extra hospitable staff who goes out of their way to make our stay memorable....

I would not change anything but suggest not to put decanted milk in the fridges rather be small sealed cartons and non cow milk 🥛 options
