A nice room for an affordable price just few minutes walking from the vibrant harbour.

It’s recently renovated, quiet, tidy and clean. The host was very kind and accommodating. Definitely a plus.

Exceptional

The host was so welcoming. The location is super central, 5 min by the ferry stop. I had a room accessing the shared terrace which made my stay even more appreciative. Bed was super confortable too. I can only recommend, I’ll come back!

the terrace is nice but it lacks privacy since three rooms are sharing it.

the lack of privacy was not great. the balcony door leads to a lovely terrace but unfortunately the terrace is shared with two other rooms. and the bedroom window has view on a passage way leading to another room so i never felt i could keep my curtains open or the window and balcony door open so it felt dark. i would avoid room 3 if i ever stayed there again. the mattress is very old or at least it felt this way and was not very comfortable. the guesthouse is a tiny bit of a climb up, so it’s not very practical if you have luggage. i wouldn’t say it was quiet either. you hear donkeys going down the steps early in the morning. then you get all the neighboring church bells and all the locals having loud conversations right outside your window. so to sum it up if i look at location and amenities i would gave this place a 5/10. i think it’s a bit expensive for what and where it is.

Extremely clean and comfortable. The hosts were nice and kind. We really enjoyed our stay.

location was close to center

shared balcony provides no privacy and a lot of noises the rest of the rooms. room not maintained, hot water needed a lot of time waiting for the electric boiler, toilet bowl case broken, shower curtain fixed with mop cloth!.

The location was good and our room was pretty. Overall it was a decent stay in Hydra in an OK price.

The owner didn’t seem to expect us when we got there even though we texted her the time we’d arrive. During our stay she didn’t give us info about anything like checkout times etc and there was minimum communication. When we got to the room, there was hair in the drain of the shower and the sink but as soon as we reported it the bathroom was cleaned. Lastly, every time we flushed the toilet there was a really loud sound in the main room that lasted about two minutes every time.

Very bad

Location

Upon arrival, staff did not welcome us properly to our room. The lady just showed us to our room and did not provide any introduction to the facilities nor how to contact them in case of any issues. The shower was flooding the bathroom and the room every time we used this as the water came out of the drain in the bathroom. The Air conditioning was not working which was a big issue as it was extremely hot. Me and my partner suffered from a large number of insect bites on our bodies. Staff made us travel to their cafe in order to pay them as oppose to meeting us at the property. We did not have hot water at the property until ringing them and asking how to resolve the issue. We then had to wait one hour for the hot water which lead to us missing the sunset. They hung up on us multiple times when trying to resolve this.

Excellent location, close to the port, quiet neighborhood. Our room had a big balcony with a nice view. Value for money.

- location was really good, close to town center, tavernas, and port - generally very clean, and the staff cleaned the room daily - very spacious for a triple room - spacious bathroom - not too many stairs to climb, didn’t need help with the luggage

- far from the Kamini, Vlichos or Mandraki beaches (about 45 mins walking, or 8 euro via sea taxi)
